Oh Nicky, btw, you might find that it's easier once Chris goes back to work, as you will drop into a routine, I know alot of the ladies have said once oh goes back to work it's much easier for them..... For me, cos he works shifts I can't get a decent routine going cos he just wrecks it all the time, I'm hoping when he is back on days not nights we can get a set routine going!

Diane and Claire, I've been the same with CJ, he would settle lovely for my parents and the inlaws and even Tris, but was ratchety for me, but I'm now finding he is starting to settle for me, and sometimes even looks to find me.....I had a section + daddy didn't give me a chance for a look in so I know how you feel about missing out on that immediate bonding time..... I actually had to ask Tris if I could have a look at my little man, he went and sat down with him out of view and didnt think of me!!!!

If you girls need a moan, as the other ladies have said, go for it, we are a family on here and will be there for you whenever you need us!!!

Hey nicky sent you a message on Facebook but wanted to say try not to worry again about Chris going back to work you are doing such a super job and as the others have said it will get easier ... That's what's keeping me going the idea that it will get easier it has to. Alex has been a sod all night tonight sleeping for less then1-2 hours at a time since 10pm but i am already finding it easier to deal with where as last week i was crying my eyes out. Stay strong hunny you CAN do this xxxxx

Happy birthday Nicky! We all felt that fear when hubby goes back to work but you will be fine, the days do go by so fast and like maddiie said, it's good to try to get out, I go out everyday and find it's really good just to leave these walls!

Sassy yay about the scan, great news! Hope cj is back to sleep soon!

My little lady has been in bed since 7.30 and just woke for her bottle. She's drained another 150ml so I'm pleased!

Wow Diane she's done amazing!! Alfies went from 11-3 back down at 4 then awake at 6. Now I'm up feeding him and then taking paul to work as i want to use the car today off into town to pick up some bits and bobs what's everyone else upto today?!

Vicky I've just pm'd you but seeing you mention Facebook just wondered who else is on there? I've got a few of you from our journey in tri 3 but if anyone else is on there and wouldn't mind being friends on there drop me a message if you wouldn't mind!

I hope you get spoiled today nicky things will get better honey xx

Omg I felt the same regarding the bonding. For me it didn't last too long as she was in NICU and I was so worried for her that the bonding sensation sort of sped itself up. But when we got back home I felt so down, my husband could settle her, knew how to sterilize the kits, made dinner. All I did was sleep. Even now I sometimes feel like all I'm good for is producing milk. She'll gladly settle in her daddy's arms but with me, she drains my milk reserves before passing out. That's all I get. I bet her first word will be daddy too.
It does take time though and it will feel better its just one if those many many things that were not told about motherhood: bonding doesn't always come, breast feeding can be bloody painful, you cry for a good few weeks after birth. But Diane you're doing a brilliant job!!

Msclaireypants, that's so annoying about the infection!! I hope it clears up soon.

Happy Birthday Nicky!!! Soon the oh becomes a nuisance and to echo what Sassy said, you do develop a good routine and make sure you go outside when you're feeling up for it. It's such a good change of scenery!

Maddie, you make me laugh so much the way you talk about Alfie! It's really cute.

So early this morning at around 3am Id just finished feeding my little bottomless-pit-for-a-stomach baby and after she was doing what Alfie and CJ were doing - fake sleeping then waking up once she was in the cot. When she did go to sleep, I got into bed, got comfy and my husband turns onto his front in a kind of plank position and I asked what he was doing, in his sleep he tells me quite chipperly: 'just checking to see what it's like being in a cot!'
He has it so tough!

Mine seems to have fallen into the following routine: feed at 10, sleep by 11, feed at 2.30, sleep by 3.15, feed at 5.30 then sleeps until 8. Her routine changes so often!

I have two more lots if visitors this week and then that is it! Thank goodness, it's so tiring with people round constantly!
My husband has next week off, I can't wait! We're going to spend it in Bristol with his family which will be nice.

Well lil man has slept 11-1, 1.15-4.15, 4.45-6.15 so not too bad a night x
Hes started only taking 6-8mins feeds the last 2 days?? But seems content is this ok??

Aww babybee don't feel like that your not just there for your milk! I'm back home from taking paul to work. Just changed one honkin' nappy and got little man ready for the day! He's being a fuss pot. Once he's sorted I'll try and get myself ready! X

I've been giving him dentinox and gripe water, he isn't sick quite as much now, I'd keep feeding beau the same, so long as little one is gaining weight they say not to worry! Also found keeping him upright for a little while after his feed helps! Daddy laid him down and he puked all over him! Had to laugh!
Is beau bf or bottle? I was told to cut CJ down alittle as he was taking too much, there is a table online of how much they should be having compared to body weight!
