~February & March Mummies and Babies~

Awe my poor little munchkin, hope he is feeling better soon Maddie, give him kisses from me xx

Aww sorry about the poorly babies hope they get better soon, and seb and sassy hope you are both better soon too :hugs:

Babybee my baby was sick for first time at 10 days too, I'm thinking growth spurt? Hope she was ok last night. With dtd, I didn't have section I had forceps. Think im gonna wait a while and hope I'm back to normal for our wedding anniversary next month!

Well skylers cord has finally fallen off at 16 days old lol! She's also got eyedrops for her gunky eye which seem to be working, *touchwood*. yesterday she was such a hungry babe she drank so much I was shocked! Plus she is having more awake alert time yay! I'm starting to feel better I haven't cried for a while and now I can look at my daughter with happiness so I'm feeling good!

Hope everyone is well today!

Yay for Skyler being more alert and feeding well! And I'm glad your feeling less emotional, and happy Hun!!
CJ is the same with the alertness, it's soooo nice isn't it!!! Mind you he is wide awake for me and sleeps for tris, lol, that's my boy!!!
X

Hey girls, just popping in quickly between visitors. Blake is now combination fed as he occasionally refuses the breast, but screams for food. My milk is just starting to come in today, I'm going to buy a pump. Other than that he has been an angel, he only cries for food, nappy changes or if we take his clothes off! I'm very lucky :) xxx

Omg it's my due date today!!!! Can't believe lil dude is nearly 3 weeks old and I'm reaching this milestone with him already here!!!! X

CJ just woke for a feed and we have no electric..... Had to give him a cold bottle by candle light :-(
The whole street is off.... Went down and woke numnuts (who had gone to sleep with the door unlocked) and he was like 'have you checked the fuse'.... Urm no idiot the street is off! Pft!

Think little man might have a cold, his chest is ruttely and he is being sick after feeds, not liking it much :-( xx

Argh, power came back on, managed to eventually settle little man, sit down to express and it goes off again! The house alarms on the street are going mad and now he is awake again! Wonderful!
Oh it's back on! It's like a bloody yoyo!!!
Lets try again!!! X

I think lil man might not be very well :-(
He is usually really settled (only crying for food/if nappy is changed/clothes taken off) and he feeds well, but last night/this morning he is being sick after every feed, and he will only settle laid in my arms (kinda upright ish!) his chest sounds really rattly :-( xx

Missing a lot of you mummy's on the other page! Hope you are all doing well guys. I am now 4days over due. Hope to be with you soon xx

Hi mummies and babies!

Sassy hope little cj is ok. Skyler seems to have a cold too shes had it a few days, it's horrible :-/

I still get worried bout skylers feeding... She had 120ml at 10, 60ml at 2.30 and 80ml at 6.30. I had to wake her for all these feeds and she's still asleep now. Not sure if I should let her wake herself or continue waking her? I think shes had an ok amount (260ml in 12 hours) but just worried why she doesn't wake herself for food. Hmm.

Sassy sorry to hear about your stressful night! How's little CJ this morning?

Rachel, your little baby will make her appearance very soon! I was reading in the other thread about the sweeping attempts you've had, again don't worry! I had planned a birth centre birth but I just reckon someone hears our plans and laughs at us. Once the baby is in your arms you won't even think of the birth.

My lo would not settle after her 3am feed which made me sleep through her 6am feed (fed her at 7.30) and her 9am feed is being completely messed up aswell! The greedy little monkey.

Diane, I spoke to a pediatrician when we were in hospital about that very issue with feeding,. Like you he said providing they get their total amount in a 12hr/24hr cycle then the amounts during each feed don't have to be equal.

As for waking for food, she'll start doing that too, I think babies develop these instincts differently to each other.?it sounds like she's doing really well :)
Xxx

I have had CJ to the drs, all is fine and they have no concerns about him, just said to keep an eye on him over the weekend! He seems abit better now! X

Glad to hear all is fine Sassy! First gp trip with the baby must be scary!!xxx

I don't care what the gp has said, I have a poorly baby boy, he is sneezing so much and loads of gunk is literally flying out of him, I think he probably has a cold, which I'm sure is nothing to worry about, but he really isn't himself my poor little angel!
Left him with his daddy so I can try and grab a few hours just in case we have another unsettled night!
And yes babybee, drs trip for baby is awful, then you feel like a neurotic mother because they are fine once you get there!
They told me if I'm not happy over the weekend to ring emergency gp, so we will see how it goes!
Hope everyone is doing ok! X

I'm really not happy either at the mo, trying desperately not to be a neurotic mum but every evening skyler is getting this horrible chesty cough and it almost sounds like she's choking and struggling to breathe I can't sleep cos I'm so worried when I hear it happening. I don't even know who I would call at this time or on the weekend. She is still eating fine, doesn't have a temp and the coughing isn't making her cry, but she is still sleeping constantly. Argh this is horrible!

Diane, CJ sleeps alot too, he has since birth, he is just starting to become more alert at 19 days, I would say last 3 or 4 days we have had more awake time! I asked mw about it and she said each baby is different and to make the most of it because once they find their feet I will be wishing he would sleep more!
I don't know what it's like in Leeds, but in Castleford, if we rang our gp out of hours the answer machine gave you a phone number to contact for the out of hours gp, if your really worried maybe ring them, or even go to a drop in centre, that's what mw told me to do with him!
CJ has a bit of a cough too, have you tried raising the head end of her Moses basket/cot a little? I've done that tonight and he doesn't seem half as bad..... I stuck an old video/Argos catalogue under the end of the stand! The also say to sit them in a steamy bathroom for a little while or put a bowl of hot water near the cot to help open their chest up, maybe worth a try? Hope Skyler is ok, and you got some sleep xx

Aww sassy thank you so much for that! I've found a drop in centre so gonna take her down today. Will deffo try your tips too, I'm glad it seems to have helped cj!!!
