****** February 2018 Mummy's thread. Hello tri 2 *****

I cannot wait for maternity leave! 18 weeks today... I don't plan on leaving until 38 weeks though so I get more time off with the baby.

Movements are really infrequent for me... with my first child they were a lot stronger than this and way more frequent at this stage. Makes me a bit worried, or maybe I've got an anterior placenta. Scan in 13 days.

Did they mention your placenta at dating scan Wednesday? They said mine was posterior - although I'm sure she said that could change.

My movements are still only noticeable when I am laying down at night. I'm 18w and not feeling them any more than I was at 14.5w?

I guess I'm pretty busy in the day though? So any movement won't be that noticeable?

My scan isn't until 20th. It's quite late? I'll be 21w.

X

Wednesday it might be anterior placenta, with DD I didn't feel strong movement until I was past 20 weeks and my placenta was anterior

I think I've felt baby on the odd occasion, like someone quickly flicks me. Not regular but randomly and only when I'm sat still, I'm 14+4 weeks

I'm so envious of your movements. I'm 14+2 and get mostly nothing with the exception of sensations that are most likely gas.

Haven't slept properly in 2 nights because I can't get comfy (it begins) so I went and got some new pillows. Now I have 5. I might make a nest hehe.

Spending the rest of the weekend on the sofa with my crochet hooks.
There are whispers of OH getting a juicy promotion so right now thats where my mind is

They didn't mention at the 12w scan. I'll be 19+6 at my anomaly scan so we will see!

I am generally busy in the day but do sit down for a while so hope to feel more soon x

I had an anterior placenta with my first and think I'm probably going to have another :( don't feel anything apart from gas sensations! I have my 16 week midwife appointment on Tuesday! I'm so looking forward to that! :)

Work is driving me haywire at the moment, Saturday lates are no place for the pregnant lady! :/

I don't know where my placenta was with DD and haven't been told this time.
Really not liking this part though. After the symptom fest of tri 1 it feels like nothing is happening. Roll on bumps and kicks

Just checking in.. hope everyone had a good weekend! And that everyone is ok! Fingers crossed the symptoms that once plagued everyone have eased now! X

Not feeling too bad, just started with back pain today though, currently sat with a hot water bottle! Hope everyone else is doing ok x

I'm currently suffering with back pain too B&H, got the hot water bottle on it at work. I've booked myself a chiro appointment for next week as I suffered from sciatica previously, and I can imagine that might make a reappearance if I'm not careful

Anyone else have a weird sensation in their low tummy. I'm chubby and under my flab feels heavy and weird.

Back from my 16 week midwife appointment! Everything's all good and even got a listen in to the babies heartbeat!, very fidgety baby indeed! Midwife had a good hunt around trying to find them and every time she'd get the heart beat, the baby would kick the doppler and move away  a very good, strong heartbeat..150bpm!

That's it! No more midwife appointments until November when I'm 25 weekz! :D now the next thing to do is book in for my gender scan!

Aww glad you got to hear HB.

That heart rate suggests girl, if you believe the old wives tale?

I had my 16w appt a few weeks ago and am not back until 28w appt.

Got GTT + 28w bloods and MW appointment (in different places) on the same day

Glad you got to hear baby's heartbeat!! And that all went well!

Carnat in different places sounds like a hectic day!! I have all my scan dates through thankfully! And the gtt too (not looking forward to that at all)

BabyRuth hope all goes well with the mw tomorrow!! Xx

For 19th past 3 weeks I've been going to the beach and this will be the final weekend of swimming at the beach. Sad but weather is changing . I feel great cause of it and sadly will have to go to the local swimming pool.

Anybody started swimming? It's very beneficial when pregnant

How is everyone??

Does anyone else round up how many weeks they are pregnant..?? Lol. I've been telling folk I'm just under 5 months for a few weeks now hahaha. Wishing time away I think.

I have a physio appointment today for my back as it is completely shredded. I'm cynical of the improvement it will make but it will help me mentally if nothing else. I'm toying with visiting a chiropractor or something, the sciatica is driving me bonkers.

Just trying I have numb feet and pain in my leg/foot and back.

I've had it for ages, it is no good! I need an MRI on my back but it is out of the question right now.
