***December babies! Tri 2 :) ***

I can't believe you were treated like that joey, that's so awful. I don't understand how they can get away with that! I went for my 16 weeks appointment at 14+6 because of my holiday and the consultant couldn't have been nicer about seeing me earlier. I hope your wait isn't too long for your proper scan :(

That's us back from our wee week away, it was amazing and done me the world of good. I was really worried how ill I'd feel but I was only sick once a day and generally felt great. Hoping it continues now I'm home! Back to work on Wednesday night but on the countdown to finishing work.

I know it's early but has anyone thought about what they're doing for maternity leave? I'm hoping to work until 36 weeks then take 3 weeks annual leave then start maternity at my dd and take a year off. I do 12.5hr shifts on a very busy ward so I'm a bit worried I won't make it up that far but I don't want to eat into my maternity before I've even had baby! Xx

Glad your holiday was good! I work in the office 2 days a week and from home the rest of the week so think I'll work the first Monday and Tuesday in December in the office and then do a couple of weeks from home depending on my clients. If I don't have much on then I'll just take annual leave in December as I have loads saved up! I'll take 9months to take me up to when DS gets his free nursery hours to help out with childcare costs x

That's great that you have the option to work from home belfa. I keep telling myself it's only 3 (albeit long) shifts a week. Surely if I spread them out I'll be able to keep going until 36 weeks? I'm really hoping I can. I work for the NHS and we get a half decent maternity package so I'm going to take the year and make the most of it xx

Morning! How is everyone?! I don't come on here much bow I'm on the Facebook group! Haha

Consultant appointment today, not sure what to expect so we'll see! X

We had an eventful day today. I've been wetting myself when i vomit so wearing one of those bamboo washable pads and noticed a few drops of brown blood on it this morning when i woke up, and then at about 11 i went to the toilet and noticed i was still losing a little bit of brown blood. I called the hospital (on hold for 20 minutes) and they advised us to come in. When we arrived i asked for something to throw up in and was given 6 of those cardboard kidney shaped trays to be sick in, and after i was sick in the waiting room i was invited into a private waiting room. I was sick at least 20 times while we waited, i'd gone through another 6 of the trays, and my partner was making me be sick in them at least twice because of how many i was using. The nurses and doctors were more concerned about me being sick than the bleeding. I kept telling them this is just how ill I am with HG. We got to listen to the babies heartbeat, all fine 140bpm. The doctor had a look 'up there' but couldnt find the source of blood, or any bleeding. I got the anti d injection and was given another prescription to deal with the sickness and sent home. I'm now on 4 anti emetics, plus 3 other medications to deal with the side effects i am experiencing of the antiemetics. I am still sick all the time. I got out of bed and sat on the sofa for 2 hours on the weekend while my partners parents were over (vomited into the mop bucket the whole time) and it took me until yesterday to recover. I know i will be worse for a few days now because of the effort of going to the hospital today. It just feels so unfair that sitting up in bed is enough to exhaust me when I read about women working/looking afterchildren/just generally able to live normally when pregnant. I was relieved the baby is well, but upset that finding that out caused me so much struggle physically and that i will have to pay for it over the next few days.

Oh my gosh Skyway you poor thing :hugs: Fingers crossed the new drugs work for you!

I'm glad it's Friday, got a very busy day at work today, eeeek, my job is at risk of redundncy and I have an interview today that I need to prep for to keep a job. I'm soooooo nervous, the timing is really lousy.

Plus I'm getting really stressed out as haven't really felt the baby properly kick/move yet. I've had odd days where I've thought phew I think this is it starting then day's of nothing. It's really playing on my mind right now and I am struggling to concentrate on much else.

How are you all? Looking forward to the weekend? x

Oh Skyeway, I feel so sorry for you suffering so badly. I would be completely miserable if I were you and I don't really know what to say other than I hope you get better very soon. A lot of people have told me that they felt better at 20 weeks so hopefully that'll be the case for you.

Congratulations for everyone on their scans.

Skyeway, that's awful. I really home you get some relief from your hg soon. I've not been on for a bit. Feeling very relaxed as I've broken up for the summer hols. 13 days till scan attempt 2. Hopefully with a better sonographer. Have bought a few more baby bits in the sale from M&S and Next. Find myself in an occasional panic about 'what if it's not a boy!' As we have a lot of blue! Even though when we had the gender scan, the lady pointed out the boy bits and the umbilical cord on the same view and also said 'that's the scrotum' which is pretty definitive.

I bought a pack of 3 sleepsuits today and a little cardigan and I find myself feeling bad for my daughter, so she got a t-shirt too! I need to sort through what we have bought as we've got various bits ranging from 0-3 up to 12-18 depending on what I've liked in the sale. I have clothes for a 1 year old that hasn't been born yet!

I'm feeling baby move a fair bit in my lower tummy, but occasionally I get this really sharp jab either side of my belly button which really makes me jump. Hope everyone is ok! x

Hey ladies,

What's the Facebook page? I reactivated my Facebook so I can hopefully join you all. Is it private?

Skyeway, that's horrific you're still so ill. How are you finding the new drugs? My sickness has thankfully been so much better. It's still there but nowhere near as bad! I've just got a rubbish appetite so don't think I'm gaining much weight.

Amy how did you get on with your work interview? Have you felt anything from baby? I've been feeling loads, hubby even felt baby the other day. As soon as I don't feel anything for a while i start to worry. Such swings and roundabouts! Could your placenta possibly be in the way preventing you feeling much?

You're getting so organised with all your baby bits joey. We've got the cots at my mums but other than a vest, pack of nappies and box of wipes I've bought nothing. We're going to put money down on a pram soon (feel too edgy to pay the full thing yet but least a deposit will get it ordered!). My 20 week scan is in 10 days so maybe after that we'll start buying. We're staying team yellow though so limits what we'll buy! I've been feeling all movement low down around my pelvis too but every so often I get a belly button poke, only when I'm lying down really so baby must move up or something?

I was working all weekend night shift and it was mental. I had a half hour break in 12.5hrs, I didn't sit down for a second otherwise. I've decided to cancel my weeks annual leave in September and use it at the end so I can finish an extra week early at 35 weeks. I'd never be able to do those shifts at 36+ weeks! Xx

I think Emma says at the top of this page that it's ok to add her and she will add you to the group. It's a secret group, so think you can only be added if you're FB friends with a member.

Those shifts sound awful! Going at 35 weeks sounds like a smart move! x

I totally forgot Emma had put that, thanks joey. I'll do that tomorrow!

They really aren't very good when pregnant. It's physically and mentally knackering, a lot of it is still heavy moving patients etc and my backs killing me. I dread to think how bad it'll be in 16 weeks!! Xx

Sorry Vic! Nicki has been a bit quiet lately so she may not have seen your request..

Feel feee to add me as a friend (Emma Strong.. same profile pic as on here) and just let me know who you are and I'll send you a group invite. Same for anyone else who wants to join us!

Xxx

I've e added you Emma, so I can also join the group. :)

I'm not on Facebook, so I miss out on the facebook group but I hope everyone is ok!
Scan on Friday, I can't wait! We've decided that we are going to find out- especially as my sister and I are having the complete reverse pregnancies that each other had last time & she's having a girl. DD a has been telling everyone that "mummy's having a boy baby" although neither of us have mentioned anything to her.

GF91- exciting! Will be interesting to see if you do join team blue. My repeat scan isn't until next Friday!
20+2 today. More than halfway now and baby will probably be here around 39 weeks as we're opting for a section.

So excited! although I really don't mind either way!
I can't believe we're already halfway through! My mum said to be this morning that I've been pregnant longer then I'm probably going to be pregnant as I had my daughter at 38 weeks!
I do have to say though that I do keep forgetting I'm pregnant! Still no bump 😞

Hellloooooo, I'm sorry I've been MIA! I've had a few friend requests I've just seen today but I'm not sure if it's anyone from here or just some fandoms (there's a man, I'm guessing he's not from here)

Not much to report from me but my sickness has subsided although I'm still getting tummy pains they seem to think is acid related. Baby number 1 turns 1 this month and took his first steps last week so that's scary. I'm part time at work now which is much better and I get to spend a few days with my baby now.

Hope all is well ladies xx

Still not much movements here, I can feel something's just not really obviously or regularly yet. I have my scan next Wednesday so will see where my placenta is then! My midwife said it's a lot more likely to have the placenta at the front following a previous c-section so it does sound likely.

MrsS15 those shifts sound a killer, you must be exhausted after a few of those back to back!

Eeeek exciting finding out he gender GF91 I wonder if you daughter is correct!

Glad you're okay Mumbear and great news he sickness is subsiding xx

Could I be that baby's facing towards your back? My sister had an emergency section and she's still completely numb in her scar area so she didn't feel movement for ages! Xxx

This week is dragging...

Hello! Feeling more movement these last few days. Quite low down like a popping and tapping or bubbling. It's pretty weird - I'd forgotten how much so. Anterior placenta for me too. 21 weeks so feeling something earlier than the 24 weeks with my daughter. It's mainly at night during my insomniac phase! X
