When my friend was pregnant with her first we went to a wedding and she asked for a pint glass full of ice at the bar and just sucked on it all night!

Ladies, who of you are finding out the gender before the baby is born?
I found out last time but this time im so adamant I want it to be a surprise but hubby is desperate to know. I think it should be my choice considering he chose last time but I'm also so eager to know it won't take much to convince me. I really wish he wanted to wait too!

We're exactly the opposite, I'd like to find out but hubby doesn't. Thought I'd give him that as he doesn't get much through this whole experience! So team yellow it is! X

We find out two weeks Tuesday.. OH doesn't have a say in the matter - but he's just as desperate to find out as me so it's okay! 14 Weeks today, baby is the size of a lemon

This time last year I was 8 months pregnant & getting ready to move house

I wasn't fussed about knowing or not knowing but OH really really wants to know so we will be finding out. I think because he is so excited I am feeling more excited about knowing too

We totally wanted to wait but DH wanted a boy (obviously he doesn't mind if it's a girl) and I read an article about a couple who waited. they had 3 girls and really wanted a boy but decided to wait. Anyway, the baby was a girl. The lady said that she had to be honest, she was a little disappointed and wished she had found out earlier so that her total focus ace birth is on the baby, not the gender. That doesn't exactly apply to us as really we would be happy with either but I think it is interesting. Anyway, we were told it is probably a girl, we will confirm at the 20 week scan! I can't wait.

I'm going to stay Team Yellow there's not many genuine surprises out there anymore

That's an interesting view on it Lilac and can totally understand what your friend means.

Well we have another reassurance scan next Sunday and we were told they could probably tell the sex at that point. I'll be 16+3, so we'll need to decide before then. Hubby has now said he'll ask the technician to write it down and put it in an envelope, then he'll give the envelope to a baker and ask them to make the inside either blue or pink but not to tell us. Then we cut the cake with close family and all find out together. So I'm warming to that idea.

That is SUCH a good idea! I might suggest that to my OH. We luckily are both on the same page and desperate to find out the gender so will most defintely be finding out at the 20 week scan but tempted to do it that way - it feels like its way more exciting! Xx

It was a surprise enough for us to be pregnant since we were about to go on the waiting list for IVF so finding out will be fine for us.

As there doesn't seem to be much going on in tri 1 I might as well move too
Due date is 18th December
20 week scan date is 5th August (should have been the week before but I am away that week)
We are definitely going to find out the gender, not got a scan booked but think it will be around the first week in July
