Cd5 today, af is now just a few spots. Going to start dtd tomorrow and the start opks on Thursday, doing clearblue trial this cycle and also doing smep plan.

There seems to be quite a few of us doing it this cycle so fingers crossed it brings us a lot of luck xx

CD 9 today and blank face on Clearblue digi and negative OPK ..good job as we didn't DTD last night as I was so tired...trying to stick to the SMEP but it know im not ovulating yet so don't see the point of wasting the little swimmers going to miss tonight as its new years eve and we will not get chance then try to do every other day

I feel like absolute crap today, my dad has put on facebook that my stepmum is pregnant. I'm trying to feel happy for them but when my dad keeps saying he doesn't want it and that he is to old, I just keep thinking why can he have another baby that he doesn't want and Is a crap dad when It takes us ages to have one that we do want.

Do I sound really selfish? Xx

Oh god im so sorry the about situation your in, it must feel awful as you want it so bad and now she's pregnant and they don't want it
How does your stepmum feel about it? We're they trying or was it a suprise? You're not selfish at all hun you just want a baby and it's natural to feel like that

I'm in a different situation with my OH donating to his auntie and she's pregnant but I can empathise with you

Yeah I read your thread hun, I'm so sorry you was put in that position especially without talking to you about it.

She told my dad that she wants it so I think he's coming round to the idea, no it wasn't planned although she stopped taking the pill over a year ago. My dad is 50 in January and they already have a 5 year old that he can't cope with so god knows why they are having another one. I wouldn't be as bothered if my dad was a good dad to us but he has never bothered with us, doesn't help us out and it's like because me and my sisters are older then we don't matter xx

Aww hun it doesn't seem fair does it, I hope we both get our BFP'S this cycle
I'm still very upset with my OH ....and he know I will never be happy about it but I just want to get on with TTC now and try to be positive

Yeah and like you said in the other thread there could be that little chance that the baby is infact your OH's uncles. I suppose stressing about it will just make ttc harder for you hun.

We can do this cycle together and get our BFP's xx

Well I've spoken to his uncle and he said the dates don't add up to it being my OH baby as she is further on but will know when she has a scan....

Have you tried the SMEP before, it's pretty simple but hopefully get us our BFP'S

Im on clomid also which is giving me a few side effects, I'm really moody and tired

Going to do an opk this afternoon...im a poas addict lol xxxx

Sounds like the Clearblue trial/smep combo is a popular one this cycle! I started testing cd7 'cause the instructions suggested that for a 25 day cycle. I just hope I don't run out of the test strip things (need to avoid stress so my cycle is a normal length this month!). Looking forward to seeing a smiley face! Emma - do you do the opks before you get high fertility with the Clearblue test?

Woke up with a sore throat and cold but gotta dtd tonight regardless, as smep says so Feeling more in the ttc zone!

FTM - sorry to hear about the situation with your Dad and Stepmum. What is it with people who aren't bothered/not properly trying, and yet seem to fall pregnant easily?!

Carys - how are you getting on off the fags? Must be so hard, so well done on ditching them, particularly before the 1st Jan!

I've just done my afternoon OPKS and I have got a negative Opk but a flashing smilie on the clearblue monitor, I got a blank face this morning,
Dies this mean I'm getting an eastrogen surge?
We didn't DTD last night or the night before as I'm only CD 9

Best get DTD tonight! !

I've just got my blurb out and it says the estrogen level rises in the days before the LH surge, and this indicates high fertility. Presumably then the solid smiley is high LH/peak fertility. Your result makes me think I should be testing twice a day, but I don't want to run out of the test sticks!

What is the test on the right of the picture? The other ones I have are just Sainsburys test strips.

The test on the right is just a cheap midstream Opks from Ebay (I got a pack of 30!!)
I don't know why I tested with the Clearblue as I normally only do it in the morning but I had a feeling with the clomid I may ovulate early so I thought id double dip! ! I'm going to test 2 times a day now with both so I dont miss my surge .....I could get 10 days of flashing smilies so it may mean nothing

I'm giving up drinking alcohol and I know it's different but it's still something I'm going to find difficult, I don't drink every night but like a glass or two at the weekend ....

I've never smoked but can imagine it's REALLY hard giving up, so don't be too hard on yourself. I did think you were doing well giving up before the new year! Cutting down is good in itself. Just think - this could (hopefully) be the last time before our BFPs that we can splurge and eat/drink/smoke what we like, so don't feel bad about enjoying yourself tonight.

I need to get a grip with my eating in the new year. After I've eaten all the Xmas choc that's still lurking!!

Slow cooker? It's rock and roll all round for us girls

Oh no, sounds like it could be an expensive month on the testing front! At least you know now what to expect and won't get thrown by lots of high readings. How confusing though. I had no idea before I started ttc how scientific the whole thing is...how naive was I!!

It's so confusing Sam! I'm going to just test once a day with the clearblue now, ive got a box of 20 but used 3 already!! I don't want to run out going to DTD every other day and try not to stress too much

are you DTD every other day? ...I think it is a really good plan as it makes sure there are swimmers around when you ovulate even if ovulation catches you off guard!
