Controlled crying help

Sorry it's still not working for you Karen, hopefully you can find a good professional if you need one.

Someone in my swimming class said that they can sleep better when at nursery as they get in to a good routine and the staff know tricks to get them to nap etc x

Haven't read every post so excuse any irrelevance.

What is it specifically that you want to change about your sleeping? Would you still co sleep if she wouldn't be latched on all night? Or do you want her in her own bed completely?

Either way, I think it's going to be best to do things gradually, for both of you...start first by feeding to sleep lying down and trying to gradually get her used to staying asleep without being latched on by unlatching her once she's asleep. She might want to re-latch if she wakes up. Let her, but unlatch again once she's asleep. Do this as many times as it takes and she will get used to staying asleep without being latched. Once she's asleep but unlatched, you can gradually sneak away.

Once she's used to that, you could try still feeding to sleep but in a mattress on the floor in her own room?

Babies innately want to fall asleep close to their mothers, preferably being fed/rocked so it's to both of your advantage if you can work around that.

It's that she latches on most of the night and also I'm getting terrible pain in my hips as I'm used to moving around more. I think she needs to be in her own room too. I think I'll try more gradually again...I have done and she didn't respond well to it but ill try again soon x
