What class would you say you are?

I really have no idea what class I fall into, to be perfectly honest. I don't know which part of my life to take it from - parental income as I was growing up, area where I lived, schooling I received, how much money hubby and I have now, where we live, the people we socialise with, the way we talk...

I just don't know!

So many people seem to be able to just say with absolute certainty which class they are, but I don't know how they can be so sure

i think you usually go on your own situation hun so now you would base it on you & OH not your folks. Plus I think if you read wiki it kinda insinuates where you stand money wise is how you ''class'' yourslef not how you speak (I think )

Based on the Wiki descriptions I would say im Middle Class................Could be wrong though [shrugs] I never really think about it lol

Nah, I dunno... If we go by money, then when I was still staying at home I was probably upper, but now - probably middle class. I dont know and dont really care to be honest about peoples "classes" I like people for them being them.

I hate people that "only" want to k now you because of your class and who you are, which I have experianced alot and it really bugs me!

AMEN! I agree entirely. Who cares what class one is. A shite is a shite; a good person is a good person regardless of class/standing.

i know there are several factors to take into account- including financial situation, occupation, family heritage and schooling possibly and i think current financial situation is the least important one for example if the queen became homeless and penniless (i kno it wouldnt happen of course but for example!) she would still be undoubtedly upper class. and some rich people such as lottery winners or people who make a fortune illegally doesnt make them upper class just coz they got the same money.

i say i am working class altho my mum's family are middle class my dad's is working class i prefer to belong to working class coz i find my mum's attitudes a little snobbish and embarrassing

socioeconomic class is blurring nowadays its not really an issue anymore- and thats a good thing IMO. i love diversity
