Ive been told im not aloud mine up yet

Normally we put ours up a few weeks before christmas, but ive got the nesting bug and done all the oroning and cleaning I can.

We are going to pick out christmas tree from forest pines next week, it feels all nice and christmassy when we go to pick a tree. Not sure where we are going to put it yet though, there isnt much room apart from in the middle of the living room.

My next door neighbour has put hers up today.

I'm putting mine up on 5th Dec. A week after Phoebe's birthday. I want to keep her birthday and Christmas seperate so she feels like her birthday is her special day.

My OH puts our tree up. I hate doing it. Too stressful. I supervise

I'm putting mine up late too, but not a week after the birthday, that'll be Xmas day We're not planning on putting our Xmas decs up till 19th December, hardly seems worth it but it's not really fair on Damien otherwise as his birthday is the 18th, and for the same reasons as BubbleOne, we want to keep it seperate.

My birthday is 20th December, and I've always LOVED the fact that I get to celebrate my birthday whilst enjoying Christmas decorations.
You don't need to keep them separate - kids love Christmas decs - trust me

My birthday is 17th December, when I was little my parents would never put the decorations up until the 18th. I used to really appreciate the fact that it was my birthday first, then Christmas. Not so bothered now, but I think if I had a child with a birthday close to Christmas I'd do the same.

depends on the person, not everyone has the same veiws...and their children arnt born on xmas or boxing day so it dosnt pose a problem

We got ours out last night to put up and the lights are broken (they're ready-fit to the tree) so Im allowed to go out today and get a new one!!
