hi everyone, will post more at lunchtime.....

babydust - I went straight to my docs when I noticed my veins about 3 years ago (varicose veins run in my family)and she prescribed me the stockings, but flights socks do the same job as well. I would get your veins checked out and they may prescribe you socks (they come in different strengths) the ones I've been given are class 1. I would deffo get them prescribed as rach said, they are expensive, and since at the moment we can get them for free!! :cheer:
hope this helps.... and hope they are not too bad

Morning girls

BD, really glad your daughter seems to be settling into school. :D

Ooh support stockings don't sound very comfortable, but then if they do the job and stop those pesky veins that is the main thing  Instead of veins bothering me, I have been bitten loads, don't know what by as we have no pets, but they are so painful, I wake myself up at night by scratching them, and once you start you can't stop. I'm guessing they might be miggy bites as we live in the country they come out in force at night. My DD has got them on her bum, don't know how they've got past her clothes and then her nappy!!!!

Looking forward to the week after next, me and OH have the week off work so we are going up to North Wales to stay with family and take DD to Chester Zoo and the Aquarium, for a long weekend, then for the following weekend my brother in law has hired a National Trust Mansion for us to all stay in for another long weekend. I'm really looking forward to it. DD will get to see her 8 year old cousin who she loves, he's got all the energy to run around with her that all us oldies are lacking. Can't wait, it'll be the calm before the storm, before all the students return for the new semester!!! Although I'm looking forward to them coming back as it will mean that it's busier, so I'm hoping the time goes really quickly, which means I get to meet our little baby, yipee, so 3 full months left at work :D or is it :( , 3 sounds like a lot.

bexie sounds like you have a lovely week planned im so jealous i could so do with a nice little break now :D the bites dont sound like much fun hun  hope they clear up soon xxx

babydust :cheer: so glad your daughter had a good day today  must make things a lot easier for you as you wont have to spend the day worrying :D hope you have a lovely weekend with your sister and good on o/h for ironing    xxx

well midwife has been and gone all ok gave me some advice for the carpal tunnel hopefully it will help a little :D blood pressure 120/60 so perfect :cheer: and the babies were quite well behaved and let her listen to their heartbeats for a little while before booting the doppler and doing a runner :rotfl: so all seems well :D :D :D
a friend came round earlier who had a baby boy about 10 months ago and brought me 3 huge black bags full of baby clothes they are lovely and most of them havent even been worn with everything ive kept from christopher and all this new stuff plus i have bought a few little items i dont think i need to buy anything else only cot sheets and blankets :D these babies are well kitted out :cheer: xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Also in for a bit of overtime tomorrow morning at work.....booo! Dont get paid but I can take the time back... :cheer: Told my manager I wouldnt be in until 10 as I need my sleep being a pregnant lady! :shhh:
Hope eveyone is well today
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Oh! Just noticed my ticker has moved up a baby!! yey!!!!! middle baby! :cheer:

I wish i was more organised, I haven't brought anything for this baby apart from one outfit and that's a cute romper/dungerees type of thing so they will need tights which I always struggled to find for a new born when DD was born.

I've still got a load of DD's clothes which will do, most neutral colours, but the odd pink item, so if we have a boy, they may have a complex, tee hee.

I gave loads away to one of the girls I work with as she had a daughter 11 months after I had Phoebe, but she's left now, so not sure if I'll get any of it back or not. I did lend her our papoose which I want back as I'd be lost without that.

Another thing I want to buy is a bumbo, it's something I wish I'd had with Phoebe, it would have been alot easier having one of those for washing up/going to the toilet and so on, she hated her bouncer chair. There's no rush for that though as they can't sit in them until they can fully support their heads.

I've just had my lunch and I feel so stuffed, not a comfy feeling when there's a baby squashed in there too!

Babydust - I remember you saying you were going to be a bridesmaid for your sister who is getting married when your baby is due, what are you planning on doing about your outfit?

Lisaspoon - congrats on your ticker moving up, wow lucky you 3 weddings, and 2 abroad, I'm jealous, I haven't been abroad for the last couple of years. Toying with the idea of Italy next year. Hope you have a good snooze

babydust - Tesco have offers on a load of baby items at the moment - including the TT closer to nature items - the breast pump, steriliser and some of the bottles are half price - not sure if thats what you were after but might be worth a look in there if you are passing.

 everyone.

Claire  that your daughter has settled a little - hopefully next week it will be plain sailing.

I've had the day from hell!! Josh needs a laptop for Uni (his computer blew up this week!!) we have spent the day laptop shopping - I dont really see why he cant have one of the base models but am prepared to compromise and go upto £400 - he has set his heart on one costing £500 - I have tried to explain to him £100 will be a lot of money when he is having to buy his own food, booze etc but he has fallen in love with one with lots of lights and fans and things....... We left the house at 10.00 am and have just got back now without buying anything - I have had to take a day off work and could really do without that at the moment - because he was sulking he couldnt find any shoes he liked!! So didnt get them either. We were at Ikea until 9.00 last night and I am totally knackered!! Grrrrrrrrrrrr boys they drive me mad... but I am not going to give in on this one - he would rather cut off his nose to spite his face and hence we are back home with sore feet and a stinking headache...... Now I feel as if I have totally wasted a day and we are still going to have to sort it out but he is working over the weekend so not a chance then...... Anyone want to adopt a slightly used 18 year old?????????

Off now to try and talk sense to him - but I dont hold out much hope!!!

Jane x

Hi girls,

Can I join you for some chatting...I do love to chat!

Little bit about me- I'm Kirsty, 26 from Reading, 1st baby and a total shock. I was on the pill and so it wasn't planned but I believe that some things are just meant to be as I couldn't be happier! My boyfriend (well fiancée but that always sounds a bit poncy to me  ) is really chuffed too and I know he'll make a great dad!

I still have doubts about me though, I have no idea about babies and how they work!! None of my friends have kids and I have never even changed a nappy-complete novice! I'm sure you just learn on the job though!

So far my pregnancy has been pretty good, had the usual sickness but not too bad, sore boobies, so so tiredyet can't sleep but I'm just not too bothered by it all, it's aol just so facinating, can't really believe it's happening to me!

Well I've reached tri2 now, have had my first scan (awesome), had my downs results back and really low 1/4900 so just feeling pretty chilled now and looking forward to this tri and seeing my expanding bump!!

Who's on here alot then? I'll look forward to chatting!!

Rach Im sorry you not feeling great! :( I havent had a decent nights sleep for about 10 weeks! My bed seems to feel like a slab of concrete and boulders for pillows! That and being too hot?!

Welcome to tri 2 Kirsty!! Im in tri 3 but come back here haha
Yay on your test results and having a good pregnancy!! :cheer:

 hi all just a quickie im off to work again :( hope everyones ok xxxxxxxx

hi lea  glad to see youve still not deserted us  xxx

 to everyone xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Hi Kirsty, welcome to 2nd tri!

Hope everyone is doing ok!

I am following the trend on here and am off out to look at a bigger car :( We saw one yesterday we really like but we need to go back and haggle over the finance... I am hopeless at that sort of thing, especially now with preg brain, so will have to let DH do all the talking.

I think everything bump-related is fine. i'm feeling very regular movements now, although they are usually quite small. Only get a big one now and then!

Right DH is pacing so best go.  to all!

xxx

 hi kmac hun glad all is going well :D most of my movements are still small ones hun although in the evenings we are getting bigger ones which other half can feel now :D hes over the moon although we are still not sure if hes felt both of them or the same one each time :rotfl: xxxxxxxx

another work day over only 7 more to go :cheer: :cheer:
got 2 days off now so spending the evening emptying the bedroom and ripping old carpet up :( im supervising most of it lol carpet being fitted 2moro afternoon :cheer:
gonna make a nice big cheese onion and potato pie now for tea mmmmmmmm cheese :D with beans and nice fresh crusty bread yum :D hope everyones well and having a good weekend see you all 2moro  xxxxxxxxxxx

Morning ladies

Ooh I'm salivating over the pie Rach and it's only 8.50am!!! My appetite is so much bigger now that I'm pregnant. I might as well make the most of it now while i can still fit some food into my stomach before it is so squashed I can only eat like a bird!!!

Lea, like the car, what a bargain and a great size with so many kids, plus OH.

Rach - congrats on the carpet, we need to do a load of decorating, but we're still without half a roof so that will have to wait. Are your twins identical?

Kirsty - welcome  and congratulations on your surprise pregnancy, I'd never changed a nappy before I had my daughter and I picked it up in no time, it's easy really once you've done it a few time, it's even easier when they are small as they can't run away, my dd tries to run away when I'm doing her nappy, not great if she's done a poo!!!! :puke:

Kmac - Good luck with the car, we've just brought a mondeo estate and I love it, it's got air con, a cd player and a massive boot, heaven with kid!!

ROM - sorry to hear about your son being stubborn, boy eh!!! Rach you've got all this to come with 4 boys

Had a good weekend here, although our computer also blew up on Friday night, we problaly won't be able to get a new one now until the end of the month, I'm glad it's blown to be honest as I've wanted a laptop for ages, now we're got the excuse to buy one :D , don't tell OH though :shhh: , he's off to my mum's all the time to use her's as he can't live without it! On Saturday me and DD came into town and I brought myself a gorgeous black maternity dress with lace trim around the neck/check area. It was only £16 from Peacocks, can you beleive we only have one shop in Aberystwyth that sell's maternity clothes, so your limited for choice! Went out with the girls on Satuday night and had a pizza, the last time i went there the pizza was fantastic and I reccommended to my friends we go again as it was so good, I really wish I hadn't, I ordered a fiorentina (spinich and egg), when it was brought out to me the white of the egg was raw, so I sent it back, they brought it back 2 mins later and it was still raw, so I explained I have to be really careful cos I'm pregnant and it got sent back again (probably for the chef to spit on cos of the difficult customer), eventually it got brought out and was slightly burnt, (I didn't mind too much as I like my food well cooked  ) Anyway the chef had saturated the egg in salt (don't like salt) it was disgusting. I won't be going back there in a hurry again. Then on Sunday I took my DD swimming, but she didn't enjoy it at all, she just clung onto me and just wanted to get out of the pool and walk around it, so we were prob in for no more the 20 mins.

I was suppose to tax my car over the weekend but completely forgot, so I'm gonna have to try and make it to the postoffice some time today before I get caught!!

Have a good day everyone. x

Morning I am new to tri 2 :D I am expecting our fourth child who was a bit of a surprise to us! Hubby had a complete sulk about it for ages, cheered up a bit when we bought a new car (Zafira so we would all fit in!) and then totally came round last thursday when I was really sick :puke: :puke: :puke: constantly and started to talk to the baby and telling him not to worry Daddy was looking after him
No idea if it a boy or girl just using him rather than it or baby all the time.
I Am a bit worried about work I had handed in my resignation as I am registered disabled and was finding the shift too hard on my illness (4pm to 8pm with 45 min drive each way + all the school runs and hw before work!) but recanted it when I found out I was pregnant cos of the money. I am exhausted non stop with this pregnancy and am not sure if I can cope with working and not sure if we can afford for me not to work I know my health and baby's comes first but it is a hard one. Any advice experience would be gratefully received.
My illness is called fibromyalgia and is where you have widespread chronic pain in the fibrous tissues and muscles along with chronic fatigue. If anyone has experience of fibro + pregnancy and has any advice info I would also be very grateful.

morning all  xxx

hi bexie the pie was yum yum :D even christopher enjoyed it (he doesnt usually as i put too much onion in) not sure if the twins are identical or not i thought if they had their own sacs and placentas it meant they were non identical but the consultant told us that sometimes they split completely very early so we wont know till after they are born and if they look identical at birth we may have to wait till they are 3 months or more and start to look different :? its all very confusing :rotfl: looks like you had a good weekend sorry about your pc :( xxx

hi mik and welcome  sorry dont have any help for you with your illness  hope you get some answers soon would it be possible for you to go on the sick until you can take mat leave or is that not an option xxx

Rach, that's quite exciting not knowing if they are going to be identical or not. Part of the anticipation I imagine. Wow, I can't beleive your measurement's but then you are carrying two. I'm alot bigger with this pregnancy that I was with Phoebe! Is Christopher a good eater? Phoebe likes her food, but anything that is home made she won't normally eat, she just loves her jars!! When she was smaller she was fine, but now she'll just eat jars, we've even resorted to putting our homemade food in a jar and feeding it to her, but she knows the difference! Perhaps it says something about my food

Hi Mik - congratulations on your pregnancy, I'm glad your husband has come round to the idea of the new addition to your family. Sorry I can't be much help with regards to your disability, perhaps try what Rach said and do a sickie if you can get away with it and have a sympathatic doctor. My doctor signed me off recently with severe morning sickness, having MS teamed with a diability must be so much harder  .

Take care B x
