lea :cheer: well done on the uniform we still have to get trousers pencil case and trainers for P.E. and we will be done im hoping luke comes home from his fathers today with some money towards it he usually pays half but its like getting blood out of a stone i wouldnt mind but we also help o/h ex out with uniform for his son so we are pretty broke now lol xx

Yeh tell me about it :( We will be getting some of Joes other lads uniforms but she always leaves it till the last minute to tell us what to get!? So annoying!

Well baba did the cutest thing this morning!! :D
I was lay in bed wide awake (as usual lol) and Joe had his arm round me and his hand on my belly! He was fast asleep and his hand twitched like he was squeezing my belly (gently) and he woke her up! I felt her stir a little like she was wondering what that was, then she slowly turned and then started hitting his arm loads (and kicking my side while she was at it lol) it was so cute! Like she was playing with him! Unfortunatly joe was fast asleep and if I would have spoke to wake him she would have stopped (she always does) so I just lay there feeling her playing with her daddy!! It was so sweet!

Hi girlies!! Missing you too much, so thought Id pop in to say Hi!!!!!

Had a great result yesterday, pram shopping has been stressing me out way too much lately, so my Mum rang to say she had found a bargain in the BabiesRUs sale & did we want her to go & get it for us, so said yes (so happy someone made the decision for me as I was going :wall: ) So she got us this one: http://www.toysrus.co.uk/Product.aspx/B ... irs/722499 It isnt one Id wold have picked, but after seeing it in the shop, Im totally happy with it (what a bargain!!), now I just need to argue with my mum overpaying her back as I know she wont want us too!!

Lea, hurry up girlie!! I need a friend in Tri 3!! LOL!! So sweet, Lola playing with her daddy!! My Hubby was singing to my belly the other day, with his head against my bump & got a couple of boots in the side of his head!!

M2Be, have fun at the party!!

Babydust, cant believe that happened to your DD!! You are not a bad mother!!!! Its the stupid c*w in the shops fault!! Thankfully my DD doesnt want her ears pierced!!

Hi to everyone else!!

xxxx

Hi Everyone

Hope you and your bumps are all well?! :)

Had my second midwife appointment on Friday - bloods for downs/spina bifida. Apparently the results can take 14-16 days to come back?!
Apart from that everything else is fine, babys heartbeat was 135-140bpm, fundus at the correct height :) Although when I got home I had a look at my notes and my BP was 95/60! the midwife never said anything at the time, so I presume this is ok......although quite shocked it can dip that low! I'm usually a spot on 120/75!
Had quite a quite weekend and have the bank holiday off tomo  so looking forward to a 4day week!

LisaP - Hope you're doing well in tri 3!!!

mum2be? - Hope you had fun at the party?! I cant wait to feel buba move properly too!

Babydust - like the others have said you are not a bad mother! Silly woman in the shop!

Lea - thats so cute!! I can wait for my OH to feel bubs kick, although I know it will be a while yet!

Sorry if i've missed anyone, not been on much in past few days! xxxxxxxxxxxxx

Hey ladies!!
Mum2be hope you had a great time at the party!! :D

Lisa P what a bargain!! :cheer: :cheer: I did get an email actually saying there was a sale on over the bank hoilday weekend but cant get anything so didnt want to look hahaha I will be in tri 3 in Wednesday so only a few more days hun!

Lisa S Yay for everything being ok at your appointment! :cheer: My BP is usually about 95/60 lol it does dip more but then I go dizzy! lol
Low is generally fine! If it gets too low then you will go dizzy and can blackout etc but it has to be really quite low to do that! (I go dizzy when its about 70/40 lol my eyes went black once and I couldnt see but have no idea what my BP was then as I was out with my sis)

Well I have been a lazy moo today! Fell asleep about 1.30 this afternoon and woke up about 4.40!! Normally I only nap for a max of an hour! Ive had crappy nights though recently and not been sleeping well so obviously I needed to catch up haha :rotfl: (any excuse haha)

leaspoon + lisa yes party was good thanks, did not get in til 12.30am this morning was so tired.

been to MIL house today for dinner was very nice, great not having to cook hehe

lisaspoon, glad all ok with midwife. i got my second appointment 2 wednesdays time. i had my blood results back for downs in a letter it came through about 7 days after not very long.

lea,i was going to have a sleep this afternoon to but managed to stay up so far, but then did have lay in got up at 11 but went to bed about 12.45am this morning.

hope everyone else is ok?

why do i give myself more stress :(
my youngest dd has been asking me for months now to get her ears pierced, i was so against it but always said when they ask they can have it done so all week she has been asking me, i even told her that i is really painful and they use a huge needle and put a hole through her ear but it still didnt put her off so i took her today thinking she would change her mind once she got there, but she didnt so i let her have it done she was so so brave she didnt even cry, i could see a tear starting but she just smiled at me i was so proud of her :( but when i took her out the shop i looked at them and they were so squinty, one was really low down so i took her back in and they admitted that they were squinty and offered me my money back  what bloody good was that :wall: i was so so angry and wanted to cry myself they said the only thing they could do was to do that ear again and the first hole would heal but my dd really didnt want it again but after going to the shop and buying her a £40 toy i got her to go back and they fixed it for her but dd was really upset :(
i feel like a really bad mother for letting her go through that :(

Similar thing happened to my sis, the lady got the gun caught and it pierced the ear in a funny angle. My ma was really upset by it, but my sis was fine :)
And - heya, I'm literally 2 hours into my 2nd trimester, so hello everyone! Like the idea of this chat thread, I don't have any pregnant friends or family myself.

Hey, i have been reading this forum for my whole pregnancy but i dont think i have ever posted. i love this idea of a chat thread so here we go.....

My first post at 21 weeks lol, we are having our first so everything is new and exciting  , found out we are prob having a girl. OH seems ok but i think he secretly wanted a lil boy.
work is beeing really bad with me, i am assistant manager in a hotel so im on my feet all day, i walked into the kitchen last week to hear the chef saying how "lazy" i am now  why should everyone else do my work ie changing the barrels which are TOO HEAVY!!!!! sorry mate but no job is worth me or the LO coming to any harm! :x and i stick by that. I was so upset i have been to the doctors and signed myself off for a week, i couldnt be there knowing thats hw everyone feels about me, i have always been so hard working, last one to eave at night first one there the next morning etc, how dare they think that of me. sorry im ranting now!!!
lol i think that will do for the first one. nice to meet u all  xxx

Oh im sure he will!! my nan keeps buying girly things, she called to "confess" :D yesterday, said she has been doing it since i was 12 weeks, said she just "knew" it was a little girl. lol bless her.

i feel wonderful now yeah!!

Hi Marley! Welcome to tri 2!!
Hi mommymoo! Sorry they are being horrible at work!
BD im sorry your daughter just isnt liking going school! :(
Mum2be glad you had a good time at the party!!

Im knackered today!? Cant breathe at all and feel so sick! my BP is low so I think thats making me feel sick!
Had a nice night last night! Went to a local pub and had quiz night on and raffles etc! Didnt win but was fun! :D

Hi Everyone!

Hope you are all well! :)

Mommymoo - welcome to the chat thread! Sorry they are not being supportive at work :( I'm in a similar situation, apart from my immediate team and a few close friends no one else asks me how I am, has congratulated me on my pregnancy. They just seem to "look" at me.....sod em!

babydust - i'm sorry your dd is not liking school at the moment :( I really hope, with the schools help, you can come up with a plan.... But i'm glad your other dd is liking her new earrings!!

lea - hope your feeling a bit better... I feel a bit woozy after being round the shops for just over an hour, camped out on the couch at the moment! Glad you had a good time at the pub! :D

Not much happening here..... gone back to feeling fat rather than pregnant. Went up to OH's parents yesterday and they kept commenting on how big I am.... :( being my first pregnancy I'm unsure how big I'm meant to be at 17weeks, so feeling a little self conscious about how I'm looking...

Thanks for the welcome lea m!!

And saw the replies about the working mums-to-be; I can't believe that people are still so old-fashioned!!! It's ridiculous, anyone would think that pregnancy is some insane anomaly, rather than a damned big favour to the world!
When my aunt was pregnant, she said it was really hard because she had to keep it quiet for as long as she could - she's got quite a man-based job, and they apparently aren't thrilled whenever a pregnancy is announced. I really can't believe how unfair it is.

Hello Ladies,

Back to the grindstone after a nice long relaxing weekend.

BD - Sorry to hear about your DD's ears, when i had my ears pierced they managed to pierce one ear at an odd angle so I could never fit earrings in comfortably!! I'm really hoping your other DD settles into school soon, it must be so stressful for you, I know how upset it'd make me, you just want the best for your child and want them to be happy.

Welcome Marley and Mommymoo

Lea - Your leaving us and moving up to tri 3, how exciting to be in the last trimester. That's really cute hearing about your LO kicking her daddy.

Sorry if I left anyone out, hopw your all well.

We had a lovely weekend, met friends at softplay on Saturday and bumped into a couple who I went to antenatal with when I was carrying my DD and they had a 3 week old daughter, it was quite scary seeing such a small baby and thinking it wouldn't be long before my LO made their arrival. I took Phoebe over to see the baby, i thought she might be a bit interested, but she just stared, as if to say, "what's that" tee hee.

Then on Sunday, we drove up to Tywyn as my cousins were down camping from North Wales and Liverpool, it was great to see them all and see their kids, the last time I saw them Phoebe was 4 months old and my cousins wife was heavily pregnant, now their daughter is 13 months! Time goes too quickly. After we left them we drove back to Aberystwyth and had a walk on the prom where a bunch of OAP's were line dancing, they all looked so funny, no one looked like they were enjoying themselves though, they certainly kept the crowd entertained though. Then we bumped into my friend on the beach with her DD who is 3 months younger than Phoebe and her little one is so funny, she's so adventerous, she was crawling all over the sand, with sand in her mouth, I dread to think what her nappy was like the following day!! I even managed to get sunburnt, I've got a terrible tan line on my chest and my forehead is really sore today, not a good look.

Yesterday was more relaxing, in the afternoon I popped over to catch up with my friend who I don't see enough of, we managed to have a bit of a conversation over our girls shouting in the background!

Only work this week and next and then we've got a week off, I can't wait. Ooh and my ticker has moved up, yipee.

Have a good day everyone. Becks x

hi all  and welcome to all new posters  hope you and all your babies are well  xxxxxxxxxxx

sorry not been on for a few days got a nasty virus on my pc  which decided to eat through my windows files and destroyed it so not even the windows page would load up :( all we had was a black screen so we have had to wipe my hard drive completely and reinstall everything which is nice as its like having a new pc again :cheer: on the downside though i lost loads of photos and music (teach me for not backing things up to disc) most of the photos are also on our other pc too so its not too bad but im going to shift myself now and get some discs and back up everything on the other pc and send the photos to asda for printing before anything happens to that pc lol

worked all weekend and now down to 10 shifts :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:

christopher had his eye appointment this morning :( not good news he definately has something wrong with his 1 eye they said he may be long sighted and have a lazy eye he has an urgent appointment now to see the hospital optician in a month where we will find out more but it looks like hes going to have to have glasses and probably have his 1 eye patched for a while    im so upset i feel guilty as if its my fault but i think its because i cant do anything about it to take it away :(

well thats all my news really spending my 2 days off trying to get my pc sorted (updates etc and still not installed certain things which i need) so prob wont be on much but will catch up properly when im all sorted
take care everyone    xxxxxxxxxxxx
