Wow, so much to catct up on, where do I start???
ROM - Big congratulations to your son, you must be over the moon with his exam results, but also sad that he's leaving home. His accomodation sounds great, nothing like the accomodation we have at the Uni I work at!! Also great news on being dowgraded to a normal pregnancy, it sounds like everything is going well for you.
Lea - I know I'm a bit late in saying this, but I'm really sorry to hear about your dog. Also, like Rach said, what is normal? You sound like a really fun honest person. great news about your friend carrying twins.
Mel&Bean - Happy 21st
Rach - That must have been really emotional going to the spiritulist church and having a message from your nan. Also lovely to hear your babies heartbeats again.
Babydust - I can remember when my DD started nursery, it was one of the hardest things I've ever had to do, leaving her behind when all she wanted to do was cling on to me broke my heart, on many occassion I'd get back into my car and sob. Now though she loves nursery and charges into her room and head dives into the ball pool - very funny. I'm sure it won't be long before your daughter settles in,
.
to everyone else
What are Wham bars? I think I'm loseing my memory - are they the circular bars? I really can't remember them!
Here's my catch up: Me and DD drove down to stay with my in-laws on Friday for a break while our roof is changed on the house (we currently have no roof tiles on the front of the house - not good when you live in wet Wales!!)
Went to lemington on Saturday and got a bargain of a buggy/travel system. Reduced from £279.99 to £179.99. Tested it out and decided I liked it and it was the one, so went to the checkout to buy it, was told there that they couldn't find an order number for it in any of their catalogues and they didn't have any in stock, so I said I'd buy it on-line, they said it wasn't available on-line, so I asked what was the point on having it on display if it wasn't available to buy! The assistant was really nice and helpful and spoke to the manager to ask if I could buy the display model, the manager said I could. I said I wanted them to reduce the price as there was (minimal) wear and tear on the buggy, the manager said no, she sent the assistant back to me who told me this, so I asked if I could speak to the manager, when I spoke to her I explained my reasons for wanting more money off it, she backed down immidiately and said she'd reduce the price so in the end got the buggy for the grand old price of £150. I was well chuffed as I'm not normally that assertive. It looks a bit like the quinny buzz, but not as posh and it's red. I love it and DD seems quite comfy in it, she even fell asleep in it on Sunday which she never does.
At last the baby has started kicking, I love it. It kept me awake on friday night along with my DD who was really unsettled
as she normally is on the first night of us going away. She woke up at about 3.20am screaming, so I brought her into bed (a single!) with me and she was wriggling around all night while the baby was kicking me, so I hardly slept and to top it all at about 4.30 my car alarm went off, my DD was like a leech and wouldn't let go of me so me and her were out in the street, me in my nightie, her in her bodysuit - what a sight had anyone been passing!
Can't think of any other news from this end, hope you all have a good day.
