its def worth buying a new 1 hun tell him the average life span of a pushchair is 1-2 years which most 2nd hand ones have been used for already so you could end up using it for 3 months and then having to buy another 1 :( plus if your mum is giving you 100 towards it you could prob get a nice one for that money new or add just a little towards it
your daughter sounds so cute in her wellies :D glad you had a nice weekend hun xxxx

Bexie we went to Babies R Us yesterday and they had some lovely ones for just over £100 - a good second hand one will cost you that anyway... False economy if you ask me :D

Bleurgh I feel rubbish today :( feel so faint..just took my BP (I have a manual one, Im a nurse dont worry not a hypochondriac :D ), and it was in me boots!!
Am off work, feel guilty as only had time off about 5 weeks ago, but Im thinking fook it, they treat preggers women like poo on my ward, and my babies health comes first!!!
Was horrible passing out this morning, and being alone (OH is in Iraq), luckily fell on my side, and bubs is ok coz shes currently kicking ten shades outta me lol.

Plus side is Ive worked out I have like 9 working weeks left and the rest is holidays

My parents are coming to stay tonight..they'll prolly tell me off for not ringing them when I fainted this a.m, but they live in wales...not exactly easy for them to dash here!!

I apologise ladies, just feeling a bit sorry for myself :(
Plus I know the bitchiness Im gonna get of the boss for ringing in sick :|

Awww NW i hope you feel better soon! When my BP drops it usually rights itself not long after! I couldnt imagine it staying low!
Do you know when your OH will be home?

BD your OH sounds like mine! Hes like that! I say its bed time so he goes "yep come on kids upstairs" then races them up and fights with them in their bedrooms :wall: Yep thats great! Play fight just as Im putting them in bed!

Bexie I agree with everyone else! Tell him you can get resonably prices ones and a second hand one would cost nearly as much or as BD said, tell him your mam is paying haha

Aww Rach! I didnt mean to but I did have to giggle at your wearing size 8 trainers and such! (in a nice way not nasty lol) I wonder what you will do later on? We still havent seen a bump pic!? haha You know me, I have to mither over something!? haha

I feel sick today again! :puke: And I have no idea what she is doing but Lola is pressing on something near my bladder so one, I need a wee all the time and nothing comes out lol and two, it hurts! Well not hurt hurts but is weird like when you bang your elbow (you know that weird feeling not the pain feeling)

Oh gosh and heres me moaning that I didnt do nursing?! lol I think I should be glad I didnt! haha
(well maybe I will one day! Very mature student ;))

Oh poor you ninjawomble, your right to stay off work if you fainted, that's not good at all. I must admit you should have called someone if you are that bad. Just take it really easy today and take good care of yourself.

Babydust, I don't think my otherhalf would fall for my mum wanting to buy a new buggy as she's quite happy buying second hand stuff, she'd probably back him actually. Haven't told my OH that I might buy a travel system, even though we already have a car seat!! Ooh us devious women. Glad your girls are ok.

Men get carried away, my OH will be playing with our daughter and he'll be throwing her toys around, so she'll copy him. He'll jokingly prod her with a fork while she's eating, so she'll copy him and so on, you get the idea!!! We've brought her a couple of potty's ready for when we potty train her and she's taken to sitting on it now and then lifting it up and putting it on her head, sure she's got the idea from OH!!! Dread the day she does it when she's weed or pooed in it!! :rotfl: Thinking of horrible things like that we had a horrible nappy disaster this morning, she had to be whisked out of her high chair for her nappy change, while I cleaned her high chair cover then put it in the washing machine :puke: You don't need to know anymore! Too gross.

 hope you feel better soon ninjawomble  im a nurse as well but left my ward when i had my dd, dont you think nursing is the bitchiest job? the sister on my ward was such a bitch, before i had my dds i had 2 m/c close together and was off work, she called me in when i was off to talk about my sickness  and when staff called in sick she would sit at the desk after the phone call and bitch about them being off  i am really glad im away from that now it was the best thing i did, all the staff hated her, she treated them like crap but they all sooked up her backside :wall: i just do agancy work now. sorry for going on  you just reminded me there of that place, hope you feel better and let your parents look after you  it must be so hard not having your oh there

OMG sounds exactly like my ward!!!

Im gonna do my time for my mat leave when I go back, then Im going on the bank. The place isnt healthy for me :(
Plus we never get thanked off her, just constant critiscism.....yep nursing IS the bitchiest job ever!!

Lea, congratulations on your new family member, hope she lets you post a pic of him. :D . Great story about your daughter, ninjawomble is right def one to use when she gets married.

Babydust hope your scan goes well today.

Good news for me on the buggy front, after all you replies yesterday I spoke to my OH and gave my reasons for wanting a new buggy, I'd also read the "Mothering stereotypes and how involved is your partner?" thread so decided that I should try and engage him in the type and style of buggy he'd like us to get. And he said he didn't care as long as it wasn't pink and didin't cost a fortune!! So it looks like my trip to Mothercare on Saturday is going ahead, yipee, can't wait :D .

lea congrats on having a new nephew :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: alfie is a lovely name and not a bad weight too :D xxx

bexie glad your o/h has come round to you having a new pushchair :cheer: you must be so pleased good luck with mothercare hope you find one you like :D xxx

babydust hope your scan went well hun xxx

well just got back from town am having a day from hell :( poor christopher and poor me were awake half the night as it was raining so hard it woke him which woke me so have been up since just after 2 :( needless to say he has spent all morning grizzling and has now fallen asleep without his dinner although he has had brekkie at home and then poached egg and bread and butter in town lol so dont think he will hurt not having lunch till late lol
he screamed the whole time we were in clarks wouldnt even stop while they took a photo of him in his new shoes :rotfl: his photo is awful he looks so fed up :( but his shoes are lovely cost me 30 pound :shhh: then i took him to the sports shop and bought him a pair of nike trainers which were reduced to 20 pound :shhh: so 50 pound for 2 pairs of shoes that will prob only fit for about 4 weeks :D and we are supposed to be saving money for stuff for the twins oh well its done now :D will tell o/h they were cheaper than that :rotfl:
im absolutely exhausted and still not been to get my new patio set yet lol
hope everyones having a better day than me xxxxxxxxx

Rach, your poor little boy, you must be shattered, no wonder he wasn't amused in Clarks, he must have been so tired. The photo will be funny to look at as he gets older. Phoebe looks a bit grumpy in her Clarks first shoes photo also, she refused to smile for the camera. Hope you manage to find time to get your patio set. Ooh I love shopping, don't get many opportunities for good shopping trips round here as the shops aren't big enough. Where abouts are you in South Wales? We live just outside Aberystwyth.

I just been in to see one of the guys I work with and asked him to take a couple of photo's of my bump, so hopefully I'll be able to post them later, can't beleive how big I'm looking, I'm much bigger than I was with Phoebe. Still not feeling much movement, I only really feel something if I lie flat for a while with my hand on my belly, might be because I've got a low lying placenta. Every now and then I keep on thinking I can feel the baby as part of my belly will go really hard and poke out slightly, just thought it could actually be the placenta, who knows!!!

Hope your all having a good day

bexie hes so funny he was going mad so we had to strap him in the buggy and he wouldnt loose go of the box lid of his shoes and he looks really miserable i will try and get o/h to scan it and post it on here later lol
i live near newport in gwent :D xxxxxx

Rach, hope you managed to get your patio set, not that you'd have much use of it at the moment :( what with the way the weather is. It is so miserable here, rain on and off all day!!!!

Hope everyone else is well.

I've finally got round to posting some belly pics on the belly pics page, I think I look huge, with my last pregnancy I kept it quiet from loads of people until 20 weeks, but this time there is no hiding it!!!

Really looking forward to my long weekend away at the in-laws with my LO, OH is staying at home as has taken the week of work to help with putting a new roof up, hoping the weather is ok next week, otherwise I don't know what will happen. One of our neighbours is a builder and is doing the work for us, he's lovely, but not the most reliable of blokes, so if he doesn't manage to do it next week, who knows when it'll be done!! When i was pregnant with my DD he was fitting a new central heating system into our house, weeks from my due date he left us with no central heating at the height of winter, i was so stressed!! (And cold)

I'm still not really feeling any obvious baby movement, I'm really hoping it starts soon, I'm not feeling too worried at the moment as I do feel the odd flutter at times and if I lie still with my hand on my belly I think I can feel it turning round.
