I've put a couple of posts on here about not being able to go back to work.
So I'm looking for a new job, we live in Kent and its a 25 minute commute to London. And I can't find a thing locally, I work as a receptionist, and want part time work.

So I've applied for any old job in our local town, ones I don't want and the pay is crap.
So I looked for part time reception roles in London and there are a lot more, the times are good, and the pay double what I would get local.

But my husband said he doesn't want me to go for them. That he will give me money if I need it, but we live with my inlaws at the moment, I want to move out to a nice house in a nice area, and he can't afford that, and if I get a job locally my £350 wouldn't make a dent in the bills. Locally house rental prices for a 2bed are £850 lowest, then council tax over £100, bills our car, petrol. It wouldn't cover it. I don't want any of us to go without, but he doesn't see it like that.

What can I do.

Do you want to work in the town? I think if it's what you want then explain this to your hubby. X

I more want to move out and away from my fing inlaws they are taking over my life.
And if I work in the city we can do that.

I don't really see how it impacts him where you go to work? :eh:

If he won't be put out at all then i don't even know why it's his business :)

I don't think you should be explaining yourself you him, but he should be explaining himself to you and if he can't come up with a decent reason for trying to influence you then you should disregard his opinion xx
