Just wondered what you ladies were doing and why? This is our first baby so I have no idea whether to breastfeed or bottle feed.

I would like my husband to get involved with feeding but I know he can still do this if I breastfeed.

I am leaning towards breastfeeding for the first couple weeks and then moving to bottle.

Your advice and view is really appreciated!

Xx

I have a thing about my boobs so immediately said bottle, but im going to try at least as you say maybe for a few weeks then go to bottle so at least I know they baby gets some goodness! That is if I can do it X

i'm going to use bottle, i have no desire to feed by breast and thats really it i dont have any other reason other than i dont want to. i have no problem with others on wither decision

I'm planning on breastfeeding for as long as possible. It's free and ready whenever Pip will want/need it. I can express if DH wants to fed Pip. This is my first as well but I'm determined to breastfeed.

I didnt know how it would go but i can say now breast iseasier - its on tap and i dont need to sterilise/make bottles. You can express so your oh can help

I plan on breatfeeding, just because of all benefits to baby and also much easier and cheaper

I am going to do it for as long as possible, only because I know it gives everything you have that protects them... to them. Why not, besides I dont feel like making a bottle at 4am its just there!! Going to buy myself a nice comfy chair for babys room :)

Im aiming for breast as well - lots of health benefits for bubs, helps us shift the baby wait, and its free and always on tap.

However, im not gonna beat my self up if it doesnt work. Im getting in a few bottles and formula just in case.
xxx

I'm gonna do my damndest to BF but I'm not gonna beat myself up if I can't for whatever reason. Once men and bubs have got used to it I'll express as well so DH can get in on feed times too.

Oh, definitely breastfeed if everything goes according to plan.

I am going to try to breastfeed as well as the other girls have said it is the healthiest thing you can give baby (but I do think the midwives go on about this a bit much, it woudl make me feel very guilty if I can't and I dont think that is helpful). I also think it will be nice bonding time with baby (hubby can do the nappies).

I'm with ninja. Going to try to bf and then express too so OH can feed and to make it easier when we go out too. xx

I'm with breastfeeding too for all the same reasons as the other ladies - health benefits to bear cub, health benefits to me, bonding, cheap and definitely the ease without sterilising etc.

yeah im with the majority here, im gonna breastfeed for at least 6 months if all goes according to plan and express if needed. so much easier, cheaper and healthier for me and baby. quickest way to lose the weight too

Breastfeeding for me too. Though if it doesn't work out I'm not going to beat myself up about it.

breast feeding because it's healthier for baby and me. Stuff OH if he wants to bond with the baby he can change the nappies.

Another breastfeeding mommy here :)
Fed little man for 6 months and hope to do at least the same for this little lady. Soooo good for baby and mum and ultra convenient & just a lovely experience overall:)

Not to follow the majority but yup bf although I am planning to express :) x

Breastfeed - main reasons are benefits to baby and me - asked DH if he would feel left out and he is happy to bond during changes and baths etc - might express from 4/6 months on and let him feed but not too early in case I cause nipple confusion (different sucking techniques needed by baby) - going to do extended feeding up until about 2 years ish - being free and convenient were also factors for me :)

Going to be the odd one here but I'm bottle feeding. No desire to breast feed and just really cannot face the thought of it. Guess that makes me a bad mummy 2 be but have to go with my feelings.
