****** April Mummies!!!! ******

Not sure where my placenta is... They never said at my scan. Got the midwife a week Friday so will chat to her about it then xxx

It's good to know hun as if it's at the front you won't really feel big kicks until another few weeks but the main thing is your feeling them lol xx

Congrats on the boy-from what iv read thats def a boy in that scan!
Congrats on the girl!

Naomi my little bub is more active at nite when im lying in bed but not strong enough for hubby to feel. Im beginning to get some feelings during the day but nite is the most active. Midwife told me that my placenta is sitting to the left of my tummy thats why im only noticing feeling in the middle and to the right.
Xx

Thanks hun. Gosh the stressing is never ending in pregnancy isn't it!! Xxx

Yeh I notice mine more in the evening when I'm sat down. Probably have about 4 separate instances of movement per day although some instances last a while. All fairly light though - feels like my stomach flip flopping xxx

Haha I love that funny wave feeling. Wait a few more weeks when your poking bums legs and heads out of your ribs and you beg them to stop using your bladder as a punch bag you will soon want the nice gentle movements back lol. With my last Reece had his head constantly stuck in the right side of my ribs and if I tried to move him he would go mad! Still to this day he loves to fall asleep either on my right breast or just below xxx

Lol!! Aw bless him! Yeh no doubt the strong movements will loose their appeal after a while!! Xxx

Is anyone else not getting strong movements yet? I feel wriggles several times a day but no strong kicks or anything like that. Is that bad?? Thought it would be feeling pretty strong by now xxx

I'm not. I feel wriggles and rolling but no kicks. I was at the MW today and I asked about it, she wasn't concerned at all and said as long as there was movement it was fine. I was worried but I'm not now. Hope that helps a bit.
Baby Kirton is measuring big, I asked what this meant and the MW just laughed and said it means you're possibly having a big baby that's all. A few more measurements though to confirm.

Congratulations MrsPod on your little bundle of blue. Xx

Thanks Danielle - that's reassured me :-) I feel huge so reckon I will be measuring big too!! Xxx

Congrats girls on the gender news!

Looking forward to my aqua natal now thanks Lynne! Thats what I thought the classes would be but wasn't sure

Poor DH is getting so frustrated not feeling her, I've had a few occasions this week where I've seen and felt the kicks from the outside but they were just sporadic and no pattern to it at all, She moves a lot more around 7pm and 10pm and when I'm in the car funnily enough lol?!

Thanks dizzy!! And ditto on the movement in the car thing! Xxx

Naomi it might say in your notes from 20 week scan where your placenta is. Mine says anterior but she said it was nice and high so I think that's why I'm feeling quite a lot!

Pip is quite active all day but especially when I have my morning coffee (decaf) and any time I eat. He (sorry always say he even though we're team yellow) also seems to think 10pm is party time instead of bed time!! Last night I for in bed and he went mental Ian saw my tummy move from halfway a cross the room. So I sang twinkle twinkle to my bump and gave it some rubs and that seemed to quieter baby down!

Think I felt Braxton hicks for the first time on Sunday- has anyone else had them? Was in tesco and suddenly felt a tight pain all over bump, was quite sharp! Had to squat down in the freezer aisle until it passed. Had another about 5 minutes later not as painful still pretty uncomfortable though.

Just seen queen a's news on the main board. Devastated for her :(

I never had a single proper kick with my daughter only ever swishes of movements! She always seemed to lay on my right side facing my left so wouldn't technically 'kick' my tummy

This one however appears to be a football player on my tummy lol

Thanks Ams - don't seem to have notes from the scan though... They didn't give me any notes after either scan. Guess maybe its hospital policy to keep them?
I haven't had Braxton hicks yet - hope they're not too uncomfortable!

So upset for QueenA - what a horrible thing to go through.

Tinks - from the scans I think that's how my little one is lying too so perhaps that's the reason!

Hope everyone is ok xxx

Those not feeling big kicks more like swishes are you having girls? I'm getting quite a lot of kicks/abuse so i'm even more convinced i'd got a blue bundle in there.

Naomi I didn't see the MW write anything in mine but it turned out she'd added a print out in at the back with a few graphs and like one line of info on it. Was hoping she might have written what we were having in some sort of secret MW code but sadly nothing!

My girl likes to give mummy big kicks in the fanny, she hangs out as low down as possible. She also hates my jeans pressing on her, that sets her off too.

Congratulations on V day Naomi. It's all flying by isn't it!

Not sure what we're having but weirdly, after the chat yesterday about kicks, I felt baby kick three times whilst I was lay in bed, I felt it from the outside too. Mark missed it though which he was gutted about it.

Ha there goes that theory then!

Mine kicks like a beast when I've eaten especially if its a warm meal (he'll be disappointed that lunch is a sandwich!) and I get quite a lot of squirms and kicks if I have water in the night after a wee. Little tinker.

Ooof pixel kicks in the lady bits are not fun, haven't had many of those but can definately tell when they are near my bladder or bum!
