Hi ladies I'm ok thanks o was back up the hospital before as I started having tightenings thankfully though it was due to a water infection so I've had some iv antibiotics and they stopped doctor checked my cervix which was closed thank goodness. So i'm at home now resting again this baby really loves frightening me. I'm still a little sore too.

Oh I'm sick of flamin constipation!! No matter what I eat drink or take I'm still sat on the loo for over an hour lol.

Your little one is fairly giving you blood pressure! Glad your cervix is closed. Was it open and that's why you were going to need a stitch?

Iv just counted the nappies my mum and I have been buying and we've got over 300!

I need a stitch put it next week as by the time I'm usually 18/19 weeks of starts to open, they were just concerned incase the amnio had irritated it and caused it open xx

Yes hun as I lost a son at 25w due to it opening early and the cord getting stuck so pregnancies after that I have to have it put in xx

I know hun I never thought things like that happened as it's the one true thing a woman's body is designed to do and mine doesn't lol it's just nice to know I have a fantastic consultant who has known me since my first pregnancy and he knows my body so well xx

I never have a good time being pregnant so from about 20w I get scanned every 2-3 weeks so it's a perk haha xx

3lm, my hubby wouldn't be here if it weren't for bein stitched in - my mother in law had the exact same problems, along with multiple miscarriages both before 12 weeks and from 12 to 20 weeks. They eventually realised what was happening and she got stitched after 12 weeks in her next pregnancy, when my OH was born

I hope you don't think im being nosy but did you have any symptoms that your cervix was opening? its true hun, carrying and delivering a baby is the one thing we are designed to do.

No hun it's fine. I just have a few light tightenings, the thing is I have such quick labors and a high threshold that I don't even notice them which is a real worry. I do know another lady who had a stitch put in and she said she felt on off contractions for 3 weeks that felt like sharp shooting pains which lasted a few min and she thought it was trapped wind or Braxton hicks xx

Evening ladies, we had our 4d gender scan today but baby didn't wanna play ball & kept their legs closed! So we are none the wiser! Was lovely to hear the heartbeat for the first time. Thankfully only 2 1/2 wks until 20 wk scan ��

No they tried for 40 minutes, I don't think they offered us to come back because we don't live in the same town & we got the scan on groupon! They were really good though

Awww naughty baby!! Lol 2 1/2 weeks isn't long, hope it doesn't feel like forever!

All that talk of cervical stitches has made me feel a bit.. nauseous. Had some bloody discharge this evening when I was getting ready for bed and now a bit confused. Refuse to google it or even think about it unless there's more or something else happens.

Spent the whole day in a rush on my feet cause I had a dream about making macaroons and woke up in a frenzy. Like a woman possessed I went into town to buy a hair dryer (with wet hair ) and macaroon-baking stuff and spent the whole day trying to make the blasted things.
3 attempted batches and I still couldn't get them, even with 3 different methods taking about an hour each. Inspiration gradually faded away so settled for a red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting. Watched my sisters 3 kids this evening too and made some soup, only just getting to relax now.

Think I'll take it easy tomorrow and see what happens. Night ladies xxx

Morning all
Thanks leanne im that paranoid about everything that I had convinced myself that that had happened to me at the start of the week as I had lots of pulling and tightening. Although it was more likely to be the constipation! Can you tell that im not dramatic at all!

That cake looks amazing!
Im just lying in bed trying to summon the energy to go for a shower! I can't be bothered with work today.

Omg that cake looks uh-mazing!!!

I have managed to do the shower part Lynne.but I'm now sat on the end of the bed, listening to the rain beating down outside and wishing I could pull a sickie!! Have managed 100% attendance though so far this pregnancy and want to carry on like that in case I need days off in trimester three with sciatica or whatever.

I keep panicking about the 20week scan. I ha a really vivid dream last night that it wasn't good news and woke up crying

Tommo- wouldn't worry about the little bit of blood- monitor it but its probably just due to sex/straining/just one of those random things. I'm sure all is fine xxx
