****** April Mummies!!!! ******

Hello! I'm due 20th April 2014! Is it too late to join up to you April bump buddies?! Would be amazing chatting to people due about the same time...moved this year and not many friends nearby never mind pregnant ones to chat to! (And do feel that I may just eventually bore the OH to death over the next 6 months left to my own devices!!!) :)

Hi Karen, of course you're welcome!

Congratulations! Do you have a bump? and have you bought much yet? Xx

Hi Karen,
Welcome hun! We aint shy on here so moan and ask away!
Well im just outside of Glasgow and the weather here hasn't been too bad, prob just the usual for Scotland in October! Heavy rain and wind. Having said that its only 5.45pm and it pitch black and im in my jammies with the heating on.

Doing some more paperwork but im planning on going to bed for 8pm and watching TV in bed with a cuppa and my hot water bottle. Hubby has just hoovered the stairs and is going to clean the bathroom so im relieved of housework for the evening! Woohoo!

How are we all? Oh ladies it seems like all we want is a McFlurry and a yummy cocktail! When baby is here im fancying a French Martini, a Cider and blackcurrant and a McFlurry! My mouth is watering!!

What do you all fancy but cant have????
xxx

French martini strawberry milkshake mcflurry champagne peanut butter on toast... Oh it's endless. It's pitch black here to hun I've got heating and fire on lol xx

Ooh how good is food going to be! Hubby is complaining its too warm so im going to put the heating off and crawl under the covers! However there is a risk il fall asleep! X

Ah I keep missing posts, can't keep up with this thread! Hope everyone is okay :)

I've been feeling a few wee movements recently, can't wait for them to get a bit more frequent! It's much nicer having a baby boot you from inside that clambering over you on the outside!

I got sent home from work this morning as I took a funny turn - started feeling sick and then everything went black, so I just grabbed hold of the teacher next to me and she managed to get me to a chair and they got me to the docs. They think it is just a pregnancy thing! I have very low blood pressure so it's probably related to that, really hope it doesn't happen again though, was horrible and not a great thing to happen on the first day back!xx

Yeovil hope you are feeling better. Are you a teacher? So am I and gilly!
Xx

I'm a teacher too! Though I've chosen to do just ppa teaching, combined with general TA duties and running maths intervention groups, I love it though! I've got low blood pressure too, so I've had a couple of hairy moments in class, but I don't think snyone can tell - I've had them for years so it's just part of the normal routine for me.

I'm also sure I've been feeling flutters and something I've seen talked about as foof daggers - awesome name for it :-)

Welcome Karen, I'm pretty new to the April mummys group and they've made me really welcome. A lovely set of ladies!

What do I want but can't have? Peanut butter (nut allergy), pate, cheeses, smoked salmon... now I'm hungry again!

I had good news at the weekend, my oldest friend has had her twins!

Thanks ladies, I'm just a classroom assistant - always wanted to be teacher so maybe when I'm done having babies I will go and train for that!

That's lovely about your friend having twins MrsP! You'll be getting lots of baby cuddles with them soon then and getting in lots of practice!xx

If you want to do it, yeovil, do it if you get the chance. Teaching is amazing. I'm happiest doing what I'm doing now. And knowing what classroom assistants do, from both sides, there's no such thing as 'just' a classroom assistant, we make a massive difference :)

My friend lives about 2 hours from hee, so will be meeting up in the new year, once the boys have settled in at home and things have hopefully calmed down a bit. Can't wait though!

Evening my dears!! Just got back from a yummy meal out with friends and feeling shattered after a rather horrible nights sleep!
Will catch up properly with you tomorrow. Welcome to the thread Karen - will add your date to my first post tomorrow when I've got a bit more brain capacity!!
Hope you're feeling better now missyeovil

And things I'm looking forward to having..... Baileys, red wine, sushi, Brie... Probably lots more that aren't coming to mind now too!

Night night xxx

Hi ladies sorry not been on much hope your all well I'm still feeling horrendous had a couple of days off work last week as just feel exhausted! I'm waiting to bloom lol! Had to crack my maternity wear out today at work still quite big ATM but so much comfier my other trousers were cutting me in half lol! Xxxxx

Yeovil im def agreeing with mrs P there is def no such thing as just a class room assistant! I work with kids with additional support needs and I couldn't do my job without u!
Xx

Natalilly I'm so with you! My work clothes were getting so uncomfortable! We've got a load of maternity things arriving for me over the next few days, can't wait to be able to sit down without feeling cut in half or feeling every single seam - feels like I've turned into the princess and the pea!

I had an awful day yesterday - was sick all day long and spent the rest of the time in bed. Hoping it will be better today.

I can't remember if I told you ladies what I do for a living but I'm a newborn photographer. Thankfully today's shoot has been postponed so I've got time to recover! Funny holding all these week old babies and thinking I might have one of my own in April!

Afternoon ladies,

I'm in work on my day off, so I'm sulking!

Has anyone else experienced quite a few pains around 18 weeks? I don't know if maybe baby is having a growth spurt or something but my sides and my belly are quite achey and uncomfortable today. Trying my hardest not to be a worrier that I'm now getting nervous I'm ignoring important things!! :s xxx

Hiya ladies
Well im off to aqua natal again tonight and im currently so tired and I can't be bothered with it at all. But I know I enjoyed it last week and il be home by 9pm. Fingers crossed I have a good sleep after it.

Im only 16 weeks pregnant but iv had a few pulling and stretching aches but the midwife said its normal as our bodies are doing an awful lot right now.
Xx
