Lovely scans ladies! I'm kinda jealous there's so 12wk dating scan here - first scan (possibly an anomaly) is at 20-22 weeks

I had a private one after a bleed in wk8 but I think ill book another one for next week.

Ireland. It's crazy if you ask me!

The policy of the NMH is to offer all women one ultrasound scan at approximately 20-22 weeks gestation. Given limited resources this is deemed the optimum time to assess dates, out rule a multiple pregnancy, assess placental site and detect some common abnormalities. Ideally we do not perform ultrasound scans before this unless clinically indicated or if there is a poor obstetric history. This scan will be organised through the antenatal clinic. The National Maternity Hospital does not perform specific ultrasound scans for gender. 3-D/4-D ultrasound is currently unavailable in the NMH.

Wow that's a long time to wait to see baby! Do you get midwife appointments at 12 and 16 weeks or just booking in then wait til 20 weeks for a scan??

I am ok, appetite is all over the place. Nausea is getting worse. Thought I had gotten away with all that but the last week my symptoms seems to of gotten worse. Never mind only 4 days until my dating scan.

I'm still here! My nausea has also got worse over the past few days but I have found it reassuring as I had a bit of spotting a few days ago too (only light, and it has stopped now). I've got my consultant appointment on Wednesday - hoping they will scan then too.

I still have another week to wait for my scan. Wish it would hurry up and get here.

My dr decided to try me on different tablets this week for my hyperemesis, but didn't go well, was being sick all the time, so I'm back on my original tablets. They definitely make a difference, but just wish I could wake up and not be nauseous. Really can't wait to be better, this tri is horrendous, hope tri 2 is better!!

I'm still here too!! My scan on Friday I'm shitting myself can't help but worry everything is going to be ok even though I've got no reason to think any other way!! Still feeling sick most of the time too!! Xxxx

I'm still here! I have scan next week. I'm very nervous as back in May I discovered I'd had a mmc at my 12 week scan. Feeling more positive this time, had an early scan and still have lots of symptoms. Not long now ladies and we'll be moving across to tri2! Xxx

Still here too!!! Off to try 2 weds! Feel fab other than tired constantly and back is starting to give me jip!!!

So different on this pregnancy, I just don't have time to think about things as I did with B!

Oh and tummy is the size now that I was when I was 5 months with B! Must start eating healthy as from tomo! I have a tub of Ben and Jerry's that needs taking care of first!! X

Told my brother and sister this weekend and next weekend were telling the in laws, starting to feel more real now.

Path inking about ordering our car seat this week -is it too early??

I don't mind you asking at all. I was still really tired, the nausea had stopped and I wasn't waking in the night to pee. Nothing majorly changed tbh. I wasn't expecting the result we had though.


This time around I still have lots of symptoms but I'm convinced I am bigger, I 'look' pregnant, my boobs are still big. But I won't be convinced all is well until I get the ok this week.

Personally I have suffered a loss at 25w so I never buy anything till at least 30w xx

Aww thanks hunny I've had 2 very early losses as 5 n 6 weeks but yes I agree PMA!! This week is going to drag I no it!! Just can't wait so I can relax a bit and enjoy my pg fx for us both Hun xxxxxx
