I've decided to start a new thread as my other one isn't relevant anymore. This is what I posted in the other group:


Hi all,

I'm new to here so I hope I am posting correctly. Now bare with me as this may be quite long but I wanted to give you as much detail as I can. I have another thread but it hasn't gone into as much detail...

I have been on Lucette for almost a year and my husband and I decided that we wanted to ttc.

I stopped taking the pill at the end of February this year. Within that time frame (when I was taking the pill) I began spotting and I had at least another week to go till I finished the pack. However, I carried on taking them until I finished the pack. The spotting stopped and I was fine for a few days but then I had 2 days of heavy bleeding and again, it stopped.

As I was on the pill, it's very hard for me to know where my cycle is up to but if we use the above information as a starter, I should have started to ovulate around the 9th of March. My husband and I had sex regular on my most fertile days.

Going off the 'ovulation' dates (remember I'm not fully aware where my cycle is up to) I should be starting my period on the 30th of this month.

Now I have set the scene I will get onto the point of this post. Recently I have been feeling extremely tired and urinating a hell of a lot. Didn't think much of it but took a test anyway (because I'm an impatient so and so!). A faint pink line appeared, I was really unsure so I took another one with my husband present and again a faint line appeared. Decided to then pop to Tesco and get a Clear Blue, negative. However, after a while the CB did appear to get a very faint line on it (I will post pics).

Since then I have gone like a crazy woman testing whenever I can and I kept getting negatives until last night, I took a FRER and nothing came up at first but then when I checked this morning a pink line appeared (pic may look abit naff but it's definitely a pink line). I am also cramping constantly, not like a period pain but cramps


I would massively appreciate anyone's input.

Don't really know what to say about this emotional rollercoaster.
I've had a good read and I've managed to work out that I'm around 3/4 DPO so earliest I can test is around the 1st April.

I wish I could join in but no idea where I am in my cycle. Opks arrived yesterday and tested last night and tonight and negative. Just no idea where I am at all. So frustrating! Good luck everyone

I’ve been trying to follow you Alexis, did af come in full flow in the end?

It was all very weird. I had brown bleeding for 4 days at 5dpo then it went really heavy and pinky red blood for 3 days then backnto brown for a few days but the brown blood at the start wasnt like the brown discharge I get at start of af. The accuoibturist thinks it was a failed implantation as was right timing. She said its prob failed then brown was the result followers by the red which is the linning. She said its either that or my body trying to re set its self ? She has been trying to warm up my body and increase the energy and my temp has increased from 36.0 to 36 2 before ovulation so maybe it's hekping.

I have no idea where I am in my cycle as not sure when to call cd#1 so I thinks I am around cd#10 and maybe ovulate around this wknd but who knows. Did opks for 3 nights and all neg. She wants me to heat up my uterus area at ovulation with a heat pack but not afterwards. Thing is she is away for 1 month from next week then I am away so will go y weeks with no accupunture then we sign up to ivf waiting list.

I was planning on dtd twice this cycle at cd#11 and cd#13 but now I don't know when that will be so just going to start tonight and cover friday Saturday Monday? Maybe longer but already feel like it's pointless! Its so weird. I have always ovulated every cycle ...have loads of ewcm..I just dont get what the issue Is! Anyway once I get a pos opk I will put a testing date down!

The first months are the hardest, after coming off contraception, I thought everything was a symptom. Best of luck for this month! X

Oh no! I was really hoping that the spotting was ib for you. At least you’ve got the holiday to focus on now. Keep us updated, hopefully you figure out where you are in your cycle soon!

Sounds good to me. You can't be 3/4 dpo if you're getting faint positives though So I guess you're asking if you're pregnant? Tests said yes, and false positives are super rare. Just gotta wait and see if it sticks! Good luck x

Errrgh I don't even know what day CD1 was as I had a cycle similar to Alexis... days of brown spotting that gradually became more red, but never a real period. I'm pretty sure I got a faint BFP when the brown started, so I think I may have had a chemical... that or my body hates me!

I’m pretty relaxed, I don’t opk or temp or anything, I normally have a 32 day cycle so I know roughly when I ovulate so I just try to get it in a couple of times in my estimated fertile window. Best of luck to you!

I think I'm already down for 12th April? When is your AF due? I start a run of night shifts tomorrow so might be tricky, will aim to DTD pre shift haha! This is our first proper month of trying- the last 2 we have only DTD twice and not at ideal times because of travel etc.

It sucks eh? I think mine was a chemical! If it was at least I am getting closer ! Still no positive opk but cm definetly changing and going in the right direction! What does it matter...it won't work anyway!

Still waiting to put myself down for a date... Don't think I've ovulated yet so still unsure when AF will be due! Trying to DTD everyday so we don't miss it!!

I’ll be testing on 6th. First month ttc and feel slightly out of my depth. Positive opk yesterday. Means my body seems to be straight back on its 31 day cycle after stopping pill. Not hopeful due to PCOS and endo but Dr said to make the most of first month off the pill due to a potential hormone surge that could help me out. We shall see.

Good luck to all due to test soon. I still have no idea what my cycle is doing. I think I am cd#13 at a guesstimate but not had my temp spike or a pos opk test so just started dtd last night as 1st time I felt like it after having the flu and all the spotting and bleeding for 2 weeks. We are going to dtd 3 days in a row and then maybe skip 1 day and continue but just checking in and saying still don't have a testing date.. .so annoying!
