Melly - don't worry about the internal scan, it's a little uncomfortable but try to relax & listen to the little heartbeat. I've had more than my fair share with having pcos and a year of mid cycle scans. It's way less uncomfortable than a smear.

Ahh enjoy your hols Loula!
So many early scans to look forward to!! I had an internal when I miscarried, it was a tiny bit uncomfortable but not too bad at all. Was a bit funny really cos I had a young male doctor who didn't really have a clue so was just being really gentle and not finding anything and the lady midwife had to tell him to give her the reins so she could have a proper look lol. Poor lad! Was no worse than a smear or sweep and you'll forget all about it being internal when you see your baby xx

Lol! I hope its a woman but like you say its easily forgotten when you hear baby. Only 2 sleeps now! Had a better night sleep last night....no dry moith, no weird dreams and only needed loo once! Sure i will be back to normal tonight, but at least had one good night!

Morning ladies, hope we are all well this morning! I'm feeling really tired as DS has been waking up crying from about 4am for the last few mornings, he cries and then after 5-10 mins goes back to sleep for half an hour and then starts again until about 7am when he wakes completely. Starting to wonder how on earth we are going to cope with a toddler and a newborn!! I'm sure we will cope I have so much nausea this morning too. Can't face eating anything which I'm sure is making things worse. Problem is I can only seem to eat crisps without feeling worse! And we don't have any crisps in the house! Will have to pop out later to stock up

And we don't have any crisps in the house! Will have to pop out later to stock up Its tricky cossie but you do cope and get by. Key is getting new baby into a good routine, esp overnight if possible. Remember it well as mine were 20mths apart!
Stock up on a few family size packs...have you tried crackers. They are supposed to help x

I keep wondering how ill cope too but then I think I used to be worried I'd never cope with one baby and we managed so I'm sure we'll just adapt and be fine. Ginger but biscuits are good for sickness too Cossie.
I'm just not feeling pregnant at all today,I know I'm jinxing myself and in a couple weeks ill probs be dying from sickness but at the moment I'm doing ok,no bad symptoms yet!
Gunna phone the midwife this afternoon as Still haven't heard anything! X

Just phoned, got my booking appointment for 12th September, she said letter has probably been sent and I just haven't got it yet. Midwife wasn't there to ask about this pain but at least I know I have an appointment booked 
Hi just thought I'd introduce myself, I'm Steph and I think I'm around 6/7 weeks preganant. I had a miscarriage earlier in the year so I've very nervous but so happy at the minute. I've decided not to tell any family or friends yet so thought coming on here would give me a chance to speak about everything. Hope everyone is well x
Congratulations and welcome Stephlo. Im in same boat.im 6/7 weeks pregnant and dont want to tell anyone, even family until after 12 wk scan. The chances of MC for me are higher due to me being 42. Its been great being able to talk through the highs and lows of tri 1. Look forward to getting to hear more about you. When is your EDD...mine is 9th apr so you must be fairly close to that. X
I think around the 11th from my own calculations. Have you got many symptoms at the min? I keep having waves of nausea the past few days and my boobs feel really heavy and tender. I'm going to try and keep quiet for a little longer so that might mean avoiding people esp as they will know with me if I don't have a drink haha x

All of you seem so organised! I haven't even managed to book my first visit yet. It's all a bit complicated for me as we are moving to a new area and I need to register with a new doctor! Bad timing!

We were supposed to not be telling anyone til we've had a scan but went to zoo with Hubby's brother at the weekend and told him then hubs told his parents on face time last night and phones his sister and told her so guess ilk have to tell my parents and brother now so they're not left out. He didnt last long keeping quiet!! Just hope everything is OK with this pain im so nervous about everything! Xx

Nemi, I had a lot of lower back pain when I was preg with DD.Im sure its normal,to do with the kidneys working harder with all the hormones? Ive not really got symptoms yet but know I never got sickness or anything til 6 weeks with DD so there's time lol xc

Ooo exciting we have appointment the same day melly! What's everyone doing with their kids for the appoitments? We don't live near any family so I'll have to take DD with me to booking appointment. I remember it being quite a while lasttime and shell probs be climbing all over the place,hope the midwife doesn't Mind!! X
Luckily im avoiding MS at the moment. Didnt have it with DS and DD so hoping that i will get away with it again! I have had tender and full boobs though. Ive had weird dreams and a really dry mouth overnight. Ive been drinking non alcoholic spritzers etc to throw people off the scent. Its almost killed me as mum been here for 2 weeks and shes just gone now. Found out a couple of days after she arrived! X
