Anyone SMEP this month?

when I mentioned smep to my oh last cycle he wasnt impressed either, not necessarily because of the lots of sex bit more because he hates the idea of 'planning' when to have sex on specific days & specific occaisons - sometimes we just done fancy it and are knackered and just want to snuggle up but with smep its more pressure a bit isnt it?! But saying that... I reckon if we still havnt got our BFP by christmas we will probably try it again one month then maybe even ntnp for a few months after that, mix it up a bit lol (I know that may sound random going from extreme TTC action to none at all lol - but its more like my last resort before a breather and a bit of a break) FX though that wont need to happen and I will get my BFP within the next 4 months xxx

I was telling my fella all about smep last month.

This month i got an email from him at work saying 'were doing smep this month' lol. By the time it came to the end of the smep i was the one worn out and really couldnt be bothered!! Lol

Next month i think i'll wait til i get near ov and concentrate on dtd more around ov!!

I guess if you feel confident that you know when you ov & you have regular cycles etc then theres probably no need for smep as you can just make sure you dtd a lot around ov... but if you ov at different times or have irregular length cycles then smep is a good method to try out if it works for you! The latter applies to me so on paper smep is probably a really good idea but i just dont think I can hack it xx

Iwanted to use softcups for AF - but seeing diagrams on how they go in and fit etc - I don't think I could - lol. My Cervix is usually sooooo damn low the cup wouldn't stand a hope in staying in, even at OV my Cervix doesn't go up that high.......since the birth of my darling kiddos!

I'm on cd15 and still waiting for a positive opk. I'm thinking maybe tomorrow, and they have stayed positive for 3 days lately. This is my first month temping and they've dipped a lot today so wondering if I'll ov in the next 48 hours. Typical that after tonight we won't be able to bd until Sunday night as my mum is staying all weekend, im out friday night and oh is out all day and night sat! And the days I'm likely to need to do it are fri and sat!! Bums Just have to hope he gets some swimmers out tonight that live a few days x

I am only on CD5 but planning on doing SMEP this cycle. Told my OH what it's all about and he just said "just tell me when your ready to go and I will sort you out" not really the romantic response I was after but if it get us the BFP then that's all that matter I suppose haha!!!

CD16 for me today and avo opk starting to get a little darker so think, although I've had ov pains for a few days, I'll be oving on about cd20.

After what we were saying yesterday I'd informed OH that we had to bd last night and he really wasn't in the mood but tried anyway but just couldn't go through with it so no spermies sadly I feel awful as he was really cross with himself, I told him not to worry and that perhaps we shouldn't smep and just try when we're in the mood but he said 'no, we need to keep trying' but he also said he's worried that next time he tries he'll remember this last time and struggle again! Argh! He's puttin a lot of pressure on himself to keep shoving it in and banging away (we don't have much time for romance and foreplay!!) like a baby-making machine. Just hope this weekend while he's on his stag do he'll relax a bit while his mind is taken off ttc for a while as I hate to think its stressing him out as much as its stressing me out!! X

Omg I came on here to write a similar story- got all ready for bed, oh came to bed and said "not tonight dear" and rolled over. It's so frustrating!!!!

I had a sulk and a few secret frustrated tears and fell asleep!!

I know we still have some time left this month but not that much.

It's just so frustrating isn't it? Our sex is ALL about baby making but I really feel like its just not going to happen anytime soon

the last time I attempted smep, we bd cd8, 10, 12, then OH was ill and didnt bd anymore,
I got a BFP that month, sadly I lost it but you just never know!!

the other time i got my BFP we bd day 9 & 11 only !!

It only takes one special spermmie!!! xx

Only way I may get a quickie in is if I'm not too merry after my hen do tonight and oh is frisky and we can be quiet (mother sleeping next door on sofa!!) aww hun, it does sound like OH wants it so much he's putting too much pressure on himself bless him.. smep seems to enhance that pressure even more than usual.. This month me and OH just decided to relax and enjoy ourselves forget about specific days and just have fun (mainly because last month was more intense with doing smep). Some men / women thrive on it & for others its the opposite, I guess it works great for some & doesnt work at all for others... FX for you he is feeling it this weekend though if you can get a sneeky one in most of all have an AMAZING hen! Enjoy yourself relax & have fun xxx

Its is hard going! I jst hope I get my bfp this month, as not sure if i can handle doing smep again!!
But, it has been very successful for others, and the ways that I fell PG B4 , just isnt happening now, so I needed to try something dif.
God i hate the wait!! xx

I think I read someone post previously that it increases your chances from 20% to 30% which is good going! xx

Sadly OH didn't feel like bd-ing when i got home from my hen do... May have had something to do with the fact I was vomiting all over myself and the bed....not a good look!! Poor sod. I'd have kicked him out if that'd been him! Turns out that if you don't drink for a few months, you get drunk very very quickly. Oops! x
