Anyone SMEP this month?

Hi Girls ,
just started my 2ww, and we SMEP to the letter this month.
Just wondering if anyone else has or any other SMEP stories, or anyone joining me now for the long, eek, will I be thrilled or disappointed wait!!

As youcan see from my chart i kinda did smep this month. I'm rubbish at sticking to a schedule tho! Lol. We also used preseed and softcups.

I'm currently 5dpo, got a few niggling pains to day but to be honest i think its my bowels playing up again.

I wont be testing for a while either, so this tww is gonna drag. My usual lp is 13days but last cycle is changed to 17 days. So wont be testing til at least 18dpo, if af stays away that long!

sperm meets egg plan its basicaly sex every other day from cd 8-9 till u get a possitive opk and then sex 2 days ina row 1 day off and one more day n thats it x

We bd day 8, 10, 12, 14, 15, 16, 18!! That was some marathon for us! Oh is not highly sexed and I kind of had to force him, it was the most unromantic sex ever!!!! Goodness the things we do. I was determined to stick to the plan as I in our 2 yrs ttc we hadnt managed it!

This month I also used softcups, C+, vits & maca, & EPO, clomid and mucus making cough syrup!!! So yes you could say that we have given it our all this month. And I have been PG 3 times and each time I conceived at this time of year, so I think Im hoping its a lucky time for me or something.

And yes I know I will be sooo disappointed if the witch gets this month!
Glad I have some chums to go through the 2ww with!!

No symptoms for me yet, just felt very out of the norm moody this morning.

When do you think you will both test? xx

Hey corrinne,

Thats one long list of things your tying this month! Lol i'm thinking i might try my EPO next month too. I used it last cycle but was advised not to use it with the clomid, however i had little to no ewcm before clomid so i know this will have dryed me up completely, tmi sorry! I used preseed this cycle to make up for it.

Im not testing for at least another 2 weeks yet, dont wanna test to early, however all but my last cycle i have had 13lp so i could test 22nd.

I've been really moody myself today, not sure whats wrong. And i've been a little crampy on my left side, but ita way to early for implantation so im thinking it must be my bowels.

I've noticed there are a lot of ladies at 5dpo....theres a few in the cbfm thread too! Fingers crossed we have a huge BFP boom this month!!! lol

only time will tell!

OH WOOPS, who advised not to use the clomid and EPO? why??

I read on the SMEP to use the robtissun cough syrup if clomid dries up CM which it definatley done with me, and it def made a difference!

P.s I have seen 7 set of 2 magpies in the last cple of days, i usually see loads of just one magpie! Clutching at straws I know but it made me feel good, for a second!

I asked here orignally and one lady said that other medication, including herbal can have an effect on the clomid, and so its better to be safe than sorry. So i rang my doc and he also said not to take it as the other ingredients my effect the clomid. But having said that nicky on the clomid thread used EPO and clomid and got her BFP! I may try the cough syrup tho!

I love looking for magpies, i havent seen any for a while tho. x x x

I'm trying to, but started bd on cd11 and opk all negative so far, today is cd12 and don't usually get positives until around cd15 ish so that's ok. Due to bd again tomorrow but the annoying thing is I'm likely to need to bd every day this weekend but it's my hen do on Friday and oh's stag do on Saturday and my mum is staying for the weekend so highly unlikely we'll bd at all!! Just have to try tues and thurs night and hopefully sun night if oh isn't too hungover!! It is a bit of a passion killer all this forward planning isn't it but then we're so sick of bfn's we both just go 'oh come on then, best get on with it!!'. Good luck to you all this month. Surely odds are almost half of us should get bfp's if we stick to it?!?! Xx

I kind of tried smep last month but agree with the above was a bit of a passion killer lol and it got to the stage where we said never again (we were literally setting alarm for silly o'clock in the morning on occasions to BD because we knew we wouldnt get a chance later on in the day haha) but it felt all a little too strange so now I just say to OH "right we need to dtd as much as possible this week!" For some reason felt a little more relaxed / exciting doing that approach. Today is CD12, due to ov CD16 so that "this week is going to be a busy week OH " conversation has just occured earlier on today haha.... If we still havn't got our BFP within the next 3 or 4 months I think we may try smep again but its a bit of a last resort for us - but saying that if you enjoy it and have fun go for it!! Ive gotta admit the smep was a bit of a passion killer, it was ok when it was every other day, but every day....by the end i was kinda like 'right lets get this over with'! Not sexy in the least! lol

extreme smep is dtd every day from cd 10 to cd 16 if u ov on day 14 which i normaly do, i made it fun aswel as baby making hehe wasnt just a wam bam thnk u mam was some mr grey style in there to hahahahhahaha and i will do this month to , ok so this month is my first month of doing clear blue trials aswel so i ahve the smiley opks aswel as my own opks from ebay i always get my first + on cd 14 hopefully il get my smiley on cd 14 aswel and im also drinking grapefruit juice eevry day from cd 1 through to ovulation and taking robbitusen cough mixture from cd9 to ov day this is to help with ewcm as its dried up since mc so need a kik start,im not 5dpo im cd 5 so still 9 days for ov time for me, best a luck this month with smeping xxx

Well my story is a little different, just come off implanon end of June so ttc since then. Not using ovulation kits as I dont want to put too much pressure on it just yet. But these things are good to know, and if i dont get a bfp within the next few months, then yes, will be using the SMEP!!!

We're SMEPing this month!!!

Last month we dtd 6 days in a row over ov, but totally abstained until cd18 (33 day cycles) I'm pretty sure I ov'd around cd 20/21.

So this month smep should seem like a breeze as we're giving ourselves days off!!

Will be dtd starting tonight cd 14,16,18,19,20,22 if that Sounds about right? Obv it may need to be tweaked depending when I get that pos opk.
