Anyone having nightmares?

I have been having extremely vivid and frankly disturbing nightmares every night for over a week now. I spoke to the doc on Friday and she gave me sleeping tablets that I am allowed to take one once a week to get a good nights sleep but to be honest this isn't too much help.
Every dream involves a man usually someone I don't know (occasionally an ex who for various reasons I am terrified of) violently attacking and assualting me and I wake up sobbing and terrified. I am getting to the point where I am scared to sleep and I am starting to get paranoid abut any poor bloke that looks at me when I am out and about during the day.
Anyone have any advice?

well not so much bad bad dreams but more weird ones, i dreamt the other week i gave birth in the back of a 4x4 while racing through the streets to a fury toy monkey

I have had the falling nightmare a few times but mine are really vivid dreams about sex not even with my partner. He wakes me up going mad, but hes used to it i had the same dreams last time
