Hey ladies I had a bit of a scare this week. I started bleeding on Tuesday night and was sent for an early baby scan and thankfully all is ok. Never had any bleeding with my first pregnancy so it really freaked my out.xx

yes it's my scan pic. Keep looking at it! I had a bit of bleeding and had a scan a few weeks ago, I can't believe how much it's grown! Looks so different to last time!

Good news everything is ok Shelster, I know it's a worry when you see blood but at least you've been checked out.

I get that too, usually breast growth, make sure your bra fits right, maybe invest in a good supportive sports bra.. mention it to mw though just to be sure

my 9 week scan was internal as they can see more and my bowel was blocking the baby, they will try external first xx

Yes you'll need a full bladder for an external scan which is what they always try first. X

I had my dating scan today. I had terrible anxiety last night. Couldn't sleep at all. I convinced myself that we would go for the scan and they would tell us that the baby stopped growing a week ago when I had that bleed.
But nope, everything is fine! I was so shocked, I felt numb. I couldn't get excited until they printed of the scan pictures. Wow!
They put my due date forward to the 1st June. They did that with my first though and I ended up having her on my original due date, so I am not so sure about that.

I'm getting anxious about not receiving a scan date yet, I had my booking in appointment at 8 weeks the midwife said she will pop my details to the hospital that evening as she was working there, I will be 11 weeks on Sunday and really thought I would have ad a date through by now. How long did everyone else have to wait?

The way you book your appointments has changed here recently. For the better, may I add. We used to have to wait for our details to passed on from the GP the maternity unit in the hospital, but now your GP just refers you and you call yourself to book your appointment. I did it really early, so I got great appointments. It's a shame not every hospital uses this option. I really didn't like having to wait for for appointments through the post.
I would give them a call and check if your details were actually passed on. It's getting a bit short notice for your 12 week scan.

That sounds like a much better way of doing it. I will call them on Monday, my other half will have to book a day off and he needs a bit of notice I never remember waiting this long with my others!

Shelster & Miasmum - so glad scans have gone well �� How exciting!

Tashaleanne - yeah, would chase them. My scan date came through pretty quickly, although it sounds like everywhere is different. Hope you get booked in soon ��

Feel like I'm getting a bit of a bump now. Not sure if my jeans are tight because I'm just eating lots though! But def feels diff, and like my muscles are stretching if that makes sense - I haven't done any exercise so it's not that!

Luckily no one at work suspects as they know I'm getting divorced, I think they're going to be quite shocked when they find out the end of next week (assuming scan goes well!!)

Great to see the scan pictures! counting down to see my little alien on friday, terrified something will be wrong but ive had no bleeding etc my nausea has almost gone (never had sickness) but my boobs are still killing which is a good sign!!

im struggling to eat tho! i go from not feeling hungry to starving in seconds then when ive made it i struggle to eat it! just had last nights spag bol and its hit the spot. im craving cheese and garlic at the minute, eating babybels like no tomorrow

i have a little belly on me i think its more bloat tho, i was tiny in the beginning where my stomach actually went inwards! where as now i look like ive had a good feed, people are saying i have lost weigh on my face, maybe im not eating enough and the baby is taking it all xxx

Probably the most stressful day and could not sleep whole night.

12 week scan went well. Baby is 12 weeks and 5 days and the new due date is 31 May.

Hi all just wanted to drop in and introduce myself! I'm currently 10+3 (due 16th June) with my first baby and have my dating scan on 6th December.

I had to have early scans due to a suspected ectopic but all was okay and I saw the wonderful heartbeat! They did see a bleed though and I have experienced bleeding on off.

I'm quite an anxious person anyway but just really hoping everything will be okay!

I called the hospital yesterday as I still hadn't recieved a scan date, I'm booked in for next Wednesday at 1pm, I'm on countdown now x
