So!

Hubby and I bought the Graco Evo stroller and junior car seat package from Kiddicare back in November. We asked the lady if it was isofix compatible and she was like yea yeah - we explained we Wernt sure if we were keeping our car yet but needed the car seat to fit a base incase we did manage to so we won't buy that untill we figure it out

So we have everything set up- and a few ladies will know we have been trying to juggle finances including a re mortgage to keep our safe car ( it's on finance) and was about to sort the base!

So I found the graco snugsafe base on mothercare- great!! Oh hang on

Read both reviews on mothercare before I purchased and it doesn't fit the junior seat!! Which is why both reviews were negative! 2 ladies in same situation as me!

Ring kiddicare very angry to be told that indeed their isofix snugsafe doesn't fit the Evo

Anyway kiddicare want me to go up- take the set back and exchange for something that is compatible with isofix- however I've explained we got that pram on a deal and what if they have nothing to the same standard as the Evo- they explained that they would within reason waver the difference

So now I'm stuck as I need to find a new travel system around 300 as good as graco which is near on impossible!! I've read bad reviews on hawck systems so don't want that

Kiddicare are getting ripped apart this weekend !

Warning - if you want isofix- don't buy Graco!

Iv got the graco travel system and iv got the graco base. I think the snug safe one is a new one which has recently come out hence why it's not compatible, (don't quote me on that)

This is the base iv got to go with my junior baby car seat, it's 100% compatible, we had a demonstration at mothercare and have got it at home now and played with it/set it up, it's obv not an isofix base but it might solve ur problem of not having to get a whole new system?

I think it's currently sold out at kiddicare therefore when u try and search it won't come up (stupid system, don't know why it doesn't just come up and say out of stock) it might be in stock at a store tho. Hope u get it sorted xxxxxx

we have busted our gut to keep our car because it had isofix- I'm not settling for any less than isofix base

I bought that pram and car seat on that basis and am not backing down

My car is worth £8000 and I'm not keeping it to shove a seat belt base in and not utilise the isofix :(

So annoyed as we've stressed for months to be able to keep the car - and am determined kiddicare will provide me with a suitable alternitive travel system that uses an isofix base

Thanks for your reply though Hun x

I'm like a dog with a bone at the moment

I get where ur coming from with the car, must be stressful.i spose if kiddicare aren't able to substitute it for something u are equally happy with then at least the base is there as an option, not worth stressing yourself out over too much, and the car seat is only for upto 12 months anyway (less if u have a big baby!!!!!) so maybe u could compromise on this one and get the next size up as an isofix? Xxxxx

Our car has isofix (only a £1000 car though) and I never used it for her baby seat I used an easy click base with a graco car seat. I have just bought her size 123 with isofix for £24 from Smiths Toys, and use that now. she was only in it until 9 months because she was a big girl! xx

Have you looked at the Oyster? You would need either a britax or maxi cosi car seat but both are isofix compatible.

Can't they swap the Junior car seat for the Snugsafe?

Well the kiddicare product specialist I was on the phone to told me different! I'll def bring that up thank you as that would solve my issues!! X

Kiddicare swooped my old Evo car seat for the new snug safe

The seat we had was 64.99 and the new seat is 129.99 so we got a good deal

The girl I spoke to on the phone was the lady who sorted me out In store and she was great - best customer service I think I've ever recieved to be honest !

Pleased you got it sorted! We got the snugsafe seat and isofix base - you just need an adaptor to fit the seat to the pram but it's included with the seat. Enjoy - our system was all delivered earlier this week and we love it :) xx

Yea we have the pram already and roll on the adaptor and seat arriving - just got to buy the base from mothercare now :) x
