A month off?

Hi Chaz,

Deffo pop and see my doc as he also specialises in period problems, at my first appointment I went armed with every recurrent m/c test result and loads of progesterone results and he was like wooah let's go back to basics and look in your uterus, as he thought something must be there and he was spot on I'd had my hysteroscopy and operation to remove my septum within a month.

Something worth thinking about which I didn't is private health care, fertility isn't covered but gynaecology is so you might be able to get it prior to an appointment, they won't let you claim for an existing condition though so you'd have to find out and be honest with the insurance people what you've already been treated for.

My docs website is ...

http://www.lucianonardo.com/

He has clinics at Spire Manchester and the Alexandra hospital in Cheadle, he has a clinic in Manchester city centre too.

I know BMI and Spire also do payment plans should you want to spread the cost.

God know where I would be if I hadn't gone to see Dr Nardo, I think I would have lost the plot trying to diagnose myself because the NHS didn't have a clue or pretended they didn't due to budgets!

Hope you're feeling a bit better..:)

Xx

I'm really supprised they didn't check you for endo when checking your tubes. They said to me they'll also look for it as it's the most common thing connected to heavy, painful periods. The lap and dye/endo checking is what raised a flag to have bloods for PCOS.

Certainly go and question them about it hun.

I looked at his site last night Maybe. So could i technically select a Bupa membership, get diagnosed through them, and they will refer to NHS for treatment? If i am open about my TTC issues, but simply want Endo/ heavy periods diagnosing? Ive just looked at their covers xxxxxx

Hi Hun,

If you go down the insurance route then you'd wanna get private treatment, that's assuming you have a gynaecological problem for example endo, most private health insurance policies will cover gynaecological problems, for example, I could have had my septum treated as a gynaecological problem rather than a fertility problem but there wasn't any point as it was a listed condition on my medical records, that would mean the policy wouldn't pay out.

If you were to take out a new policy just read the terms and conditions about existing conditions, I think I used to have a policy with pru health, I didn't realise it was any use til after my op:wall2:

If you just funded it yourself you'd pay for an initial private consultation and take it from there, take the advice and pass it to the NHS docs maybe??

Basically with private health you can choose where you go and who you see, if your seriously considering taking it out you just need to do it before you make the move and get a condition listed on your notes, if you think you'll need any kind of operation it will be well worth it.

Does that make sense?:)

Xx

Yeah that makes sense, thanks Maybe.

Looked at Bupa they start from £20/ month for them to diagnose, and NHS to treat. And £60 for them to do it all. Both with £100 excess. Gonna have a further read into it.

Beginning to feel like that option is more affordable now xxx

Hi Hun,

I'm talking about the kind of pay monthly policies, I'll text my financial advisor as he came to me with a good one after my op..

After all the shit and heartach.....somone's started a rumour saying I'm pregnant and OH is gutted and pushing for a termination. Didn't realise my life was soexciting to people I don't know xxx

OMG some people!

At least you and OH know it's not true and you can comfort each other with that but jeez *mega huggles*

OMG Chaz who on earth would start that awful rumour?? Hugs to you and your OH . And a middle finger high for the idiot that thinks its a fun thing to play with others emotions x x x

What an awful rumour  Just ignore it, when you get pregnant they'll see it was bs :)

There is supposed to be an awesome clinic in Liverpool - something women's hospital or something I think :eh:

Some folk can be so nasty and thoughtless, starting rumours like that!! They have no idea how hurtful they are being...if only they knew what you've really been going through! Have a hug!

What on earth is going on with that rumour?? Some ppl seriously have nothing else to do but talk about others. Losers.

I think its originated from a bunch of women at 1 of his jobs. They don't know me, but everyone knows him. And 2 of the people we have herd this off......their girlfriends work with him. But noone will admit to 'who' they herd it from!!!! All I can say is they will feel so small and pathetic when I fall pregnant and announce how long we have struggled for and what we have acomplished xxxxx

Can't believe people would start rumours like that- awful
Really sorry your IUI didn't work this month, as you said , recharge this month ready to go again next cycle X

I'm sorry people are so small minded Chaz. It's just bloody rude- how dare they!! You guys know the truth and these people aren't worth knowing if they think like that. Hope you're ok xxx

If you visited the town where the rumour started, you'd understand why they start rumours. And if like me your new to the area because you have bagged the local Harry Styles look a like they'll say stuff simply because they know NOTHING about you and they are just jealous!

Anyhoooo......

Not looked into Liverpool Womens, but don't think I can transfer as its a different trust. Think I'm gonna try 1 more IUI and if it fails, ask about some more diagnostics. I'm hoping they'll up my Menopur doseage to produce more than 1 follie xxx
