Hope your appointment goes well Toni, can't wait to get my maternity sorted, so that I have a date to look foward to!

Laura, lovely bump pic :preg:

Just got back from my NCT Yoga class, it was....different! Lol, I have never done yoga before, so was unsure what to expect but it was very relaxing, and I will be trying to go every other week now, for a bit of me time :) Was nice to shut everything out and focus on breathing etc. There is a Greggs next door as well, so I thought I would pay them a visit :shhh:

Xx

Glad your yoga went well kaylip

Hope your appointment goes ok Toni :)

How is everyone getting on with pelvic floor excercises
What ways or classes is anyone going to? X

That's a lovely, neat bump Laura.

Hope the midwife goes/went well Toni.

Double Digit Day

I"m great at pelvic floor exercises. I do a set every time someone mentions them. At least once a week. Perhaps it's time to up that count??

Yoga on a weekly basis, which is becoming interesting to see how things change. Might not be going for two weeks now, so will be interesting to see the difference in three weeks.

Midwife next week, then DDD at the end of the week. Will be glad to have a 4-day weekend too.

still nothing from Lacey?

I have currently done no pelvic floor excercises.... :/
Time to begin perhaps?'

If you go on Lacey's profile it says she was on at 9pm last night so she's around, just quiet.x

I downloaded a pelvic floor app with reminders
I did then first pregnancy and realise now just how important they are after a natural birth : 0

Am going to be good and do them everyday... Will see lol x

Bonze I downloaded the NHS squeezy app this morning you do it three times a day it reminds you
Only I missed one already lol so just had to do 40 pelvic floor excercises to catch up sheesh not helpful when bubs decides to wriggle at the same time lol
But I managed it and it will be same again tomorrow :)

Only good thing is I'm off on a spa day tomorrow with the girls all day
They have even treated me to a pregnancy baby bump massage
Can't wait :) xx

I keep forgetting pelvic floor :( ive have such bad bladder control anyway i dont hold much hope!lol xxxx

Lovely bump Laura :-) I haven't even thought about pelvic floor exercises- thanks for the reminder and the app idea. Hope you have a lovely spa day today :-)

Yoga sounds good Kaylip. I keep thinking I should look into something like that.

How was your appointment Toni?

I keep having dreams that we have had the baby (which is lovely- sometimes a girl and sometimes a boy :-) ) but in the dream I keep forgetting about the baby and then I wake up feeling really guilty as I haven't fed it/ changed its nappy! Hopefully I'll do better in real life than in my dreams :-)

Hope you all have lovely weekends planned xxx

PS- Happy DDD for yesterday Crawkay xx

Lacey's here :)

I got signed off work after all, so that's it now. Filled in my forms and sent off the paperwork. I'm signed off now until end of April, then I have five weeks holiday to take before I start mat leave at the beginning of June... So, that's that. I now don't work until June 2016 (assuming I take the full year but I reckon I'll end up goin back sooner).

Upon hearing this, mum an dad came an rescued me for a week, which was lovely, but no interwebs, so I've been a little out of touch, and catching up since I came back.

I laughed at getting lost in a bedsheet :rotfl:
I did manage to swipe a teeny sewing machine from grandmas, so I'll see what happens with that.

Twink, do you have any sort of idea when things will get sorted out? Sounds like you're having all sorts of fun...

Claire, did you get any further with the therapist/switching? If you don't feel it was helpful going, I agree with others... There's not much point going at all.
It is totally natural to worry about aaaaalllllll kinds of things when pregnant. Obviously, baby is a big worry, but at the same time it's normal to start considering all kinds of other (unrelated) things.
Did you go with an open mind of "well, let's see if they can help calm anything down", or "I don't even need to be here, this is dumb", because your mindset before going in will change how the session goes.
If you genuinely feel that you're okay, and just having the normal pregnancy worries, then tell them you don't want to go.
Just talk it over with MW or GP first.

Angela... Broken rib? Ouch... Bet that was awesome trying to get that to heal as your organs were steadily cramming their way up into your ribcage... Here's hoping no one experiences anything like that this time.

Ladies... Tri 3 comin up quick... According to several different counts, along with this forums own, Tri 2 ends at the end of week 26, so when we turn 27 weeks, we go to Tri 3.
That means Laura moves over on Tuesday, then the rest of us start filtering across...

Is everyone happy with that? If so, I can go start the Tri 3 thread...

Xx

Hi Lacey :-) Glad you've been able to get some rest at your parents. Hope you're feeling well. Congrats on passing your DDD :-)

Eeeeeek I can't believe you're gonna be setting up the Tri 3 thread!!! Time is going so fast! xxx

Hi Lacey pleased your ok :) were nearly on the home stretch ladies :)
Yes I must admit a broken rib wasn't fun It hurt like mad every breath hurt I didn't have a big bump with my DD my OH says I'm bigger this time as at the moment he says I'm as big as I was full term last time (way to go with the complements makes me feel even more like a beached whale lol) so I can see there wasn't much room in there for a 7lbs 9 1/2 oz baby haha

No. Still not got much idea. They're doing the valuation again on weds next week-a bit later that I'd hoped and then we've obviously got the BH weekend,so I guess we'll see!! Hopefully it'll only take 2 weeks!! That's my goal! As long as I'm in by the end of April I don't care-otherwise we may have to rethink things!

I can't believe we are nearly in tri 3!! Woop woop!!! How exciting!? Less than 2 weeks for me! I was reading through the March thread and lots of them are having their babies! It's so exciting!!xx

Afternoon ladies! I've missed so much lately, OH and I have been in London for a week for our last holiday before baby arrives... It was lovely, but I'm very sorry it's over!

Can't believe how close Tri 3 is now... I'm trying to remember pelvic floor exercises too and have signed up for a YogaBellies pregnancy yoga course to start in May - I've been absolutely terrible about exercise so hoping this will get me a bit more in gear.

Hope everyone's doing ok! :) xx

Hey Lacey. Not sure whether to commiserate re being signed off. I'm sorry it was necessary but great you now have the time to look after yourself as you need to. Enjoy that sewing machine. Great to get the thread started but having hosted tri 2, would you prefer someone else did it?
Great (but scary) that tri 3 is so close. I was thinking today that I can almost say I'm 6 months' pregnant. Wow.
Doing yoga, starting hypnobirthing, midwife this week, nursery place reserved, work maternity plan sorted, pram bought, waiting to hear if my friend's cot is available. Starting to feel really real.

Hi Lacey, glad to see you back!

Anotheryou - wow that is mega organised

I am also terrible at remembering to do pelvic floor exercises and as others have mentioned, after a natural birth, it's really important. I had recovered my bladder control after bad tear first time round, but obviously not enough, as now muscles are relaxing I'm having a lot of problems with stress incontinence. This is a major problem when you have a chesty cough! So everyone do your pelvic floor exercises and remind me too!

Midwife app went fine yesterday, heard heartbeat for a couple of seconds but baby clearly doesn't like the machine as every time he wriggles away. I think he hides behind my anterior placenta! Measuring spot on too, 24 weeks gone and measured 24cm. Midwife said would be bloods and whooping cough vaccine next time at 28 weeks.

I forget about pelvic floor exercises:( plus I never know if I'm doing them correctly.
Oh and don't forget your bio oil or creams to help prevent stretch marks ladies :)

Tonight I started my hospital bag list not sure why I felt the need already but maybe my body is telling me something I don't, so I shall pick up a few bits and bobs on Thursday when I go for my glucose tests :)

Morning! Well I have started washing all my baby clothes, had a dream baby came early and nothing was ready! Nesting!

Right. I have a suggestion:

The pelvic floor game.
Lots of people have said they forget to go their exercises. From here on in, whenever you see the words pelvic, floor or exercise, on this site or any context, you must do a set there and then.
Even if it's a post that you already read the day before, you do another set.
We'll condition ourselves to react to those words!

On the basis I used the trigger words, get squeezing.

And feel free to drop those words into your posts randomly ;)
