Ahh Angela sorry to hear you're having a tough time. Sending supportive hugs x

Lacey thanks for explaining it a bit better than me! My knowledge of all this stuff is pretty limited!! Xx

No worries :)

On a happy note... Finished her sleeping bag last night :)

Sorry to hear you're not having the best time of it Angela:hugs:

Lacey, sleeping bag is amazing, I wouldn't know where to start!

Just been to have our 20 week scan, all was good with baby. And she seems positive it's a boy, which backs up our private scan at 16 weeks. So hubby is very relieved as he made a toy box and carved our baby boys name into it lol. I would share pics but she couldn't get a very good one, just glad all seems ok and on track!

Xx

Sleeping bag is lovely Lacey :)

Unfortunately OH doesn't find out till the Thursday what time he has to go in for the operation so it doesn't look like we will be able to go to both as he thinks they are keeping him in :(

Lacey - that sleeping bag is great! Think you should be getting an application form for next years Great British Sewing Bee!

Angela - sorry you're having a crap few weeks, hopefully things will settle down for you soon.

Another thing I have remembered for my birth plan is that I want to try and deliver the placenta naturally. You can either do it naturally or be injected to help get the placenta out

http://www.babycentre.co.uk/x562146/should-i-have-a-managed-or-physiological-third-stage

This article explains better than me. I had a natural third stage with Ben and it wasn't a problem at all. It just felt right for me because I'd been able to deliver him without drugs, so wanted to stay as natural as possible.

I do remember though before being pregnant first time round knowing absolutely nothing about delivering the placenta. You never see it on any programme where a woman gives birth - they don't really even talk about it on OBEM. You always just see the woman being given the beautiful baby and it's all lovely. There's no - 'right it's time to get the placenta out now, just a bit more pushing to do!' Fortunately it's no where near as hard to push out as baby was!

Still really struggling with baby names. With Ben it was easy, I was running through names, came across Benjamin, suggested it to hubby and we both said yes that's the right name. This time round neither of us are getting the same feeling from a name. The closest reaction we can get to a name is 'it's OK', there's no gut reaction to any name to say that's the right one this time. Naming your child is such a huge responsibility!

Il have a look at that Toni as I'm keen to keep it as natural as possible! My mum is a homeopath so I have grown up without conventional medicine for the most, obviously I use it as a complimentary extra to convention so would not say no to intervention if required! Very open minded that everything can change very quickly!

I'm struggling with names too, we have a few for we both like for boys and girls but nothing I have thought yes that's it! I'm sure when bubs here we will know! Toni are you team yellow? Sorry short memory over here at he moment!

Im starting to want the house spotless...nesting I think but rather early? Also getting the fear of lack of organisation!

Ooh heck, birth plans. It's all getting pretty real!
I haven't thought much about it yet other than I quite like the idea of water.
I know that there's a decent chance any plan can be totally destroyed though so I won't set my heart on anything, just as long as baby arrives safely.

I think we're pretty much set on boys name and almost there with a girl, I have days where I prefer one name to another but OH claims one of the names I like is just a noise :/

BonzE, no we're team blue and that's why coming up with a boy's name is such a problem. If we were having a girl it would be fine, we both like either Holly or Grace, it's just boys names we're having a problem with. I'm currently considering Ethan and Issac, and have started a thread in the baby names section to gauge thoughts.

X

Ouch, Laura :(
Havin a rough time, ain't you :(
I'm just getting over my cold now. Been just under a month.

Great trick for people suffering with not being able to breathe at night - get an oil burner (you can get these in the pound shop, doesn't have to be expensive, although the deeper the better).
When you go to bed, fill it with water, and a few drops of olbas oil. Pop a tea light in and breathe :)

Also great for new babies as they get very stuffy first few weeks.

Thanks for the sleeping bag comments :) I hand sewed it and did it all in like a day, didn't actually take long at all, and was stupidly easier than that cot tidy I did.
Already tryna figure out what to do next, although more bags are definitely on the agenda :) xx

Laura you are having a crap time of it. Hope it ends soon and you start getting some sleep again x

I need to get my arse into gear and start sorting.

On another note I keep getting told how small I am and my bump is tiny...making me anxious...

Hi Ladies,

Sorry some of you are not feeling well. I hope you all get better soon and Laura your little one as well.

It is getting exciting.. ..will be flying back home in 8 weeks time! A bit anxious about getting through all scans/bloods/etc all over again on the NHS....but I guess positive thoughts all the way.

September mummies are here now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!yikes!!

Hi girlies! Just back from midwife (24 week) and all well here! Bump measuring perfectly so happy girl!

Happy Friday! X

Great news Bonze. My next routine appointment is at 25 weeks, which is in 10 days from now. What happens during this appt? Xxx

Well, I had my blood pressure taken, had to give a wee sample, listed to baby's heartbeat, measured my belly and asked how I was! Was also given a Mat B form for work and booked in for bloods at 28weeks! Sorry if you have said but where are you coming home from? X

Love the sleeping bag Lacey! Very impressed :-) I reckon you should make a little rag doll? I totally love rag dolls!

Glad your scan and appointment went well Kaylip and BonzE :-) Kaylip- so sweet about your OH making the toy box! You should post a pic!

Has everyone decided when they're going to finish work/ how long to have off? I know I actually don't need to decide yet about how long to have but I'm pondering it a lot at the mo xxx

Xxx
