Morning Ladies,

Well I experienced what I would say is an extreme case of unsolicited belly touching this morning !!

I was on the train chatting away to my friend about all sort inc. the baby etc. when we came to getting off the train the woman opposite us looked at me and smiled 'I just love pregnant women' and went in for the 2 handed belly rub  I was in total shock and just looked at my friend who was the same as me wide mouthed in shock!

I didn't know what the hell to do, in my head I wanted to :slap:and she just stood there grining like an idiot rubbing my belly!! My friend then seemed to come round and dragged me away but now i'm dreading seeing her on the train again!!

On another note that doesn't involve some random phsyco touching me - baby has been moving loads last night and this morning! I just can't wait for my scan but still have another 14 days to wait!

xx

Lovely scan pic Laura! Very cute!!

Great to hear babies are all kicking away :) I'm waiting to feel any movement, I can WAIT!! I have my 16 week app tomorrow, midwife said she will be listening to the baby's heartbeat, so hubby has booked off work to come along and hear. Very exciting!

AnotherYou, I haven't actually done any pelvic floor exercises yet, I didn't even think! Oooops, best get started :)

Boosh, that made me chuckle! I haven't had a stranger go for the belly touch yet, but a man at work did, and that took me by suprise. He asked me why it was so hard lol typical man question :)

Still getting headaches every other day :( hoping it's not going to continue throughout the whole pregnancy! Xx

Oh wow, Boosh, that would have made me so uncomfortable too! I've heard that sometimes random strangers touch pregnant women but I've been lucky enough to avoid it so far. I don't mind my OH or family touching bump but anyone else is a big no-no.

AnotherYou, I have been really terrible at doing my pelvic floor exercises and I work in gynae so I have no excuse not to remember! I need to make it part of my daily routine.

Sorry to hear that you had a rough night, Claire. I have been tossing and turning a lot recently which wakes me up but nothing too bad yet. Maybe try and have a little nap today?

All the best at the doctors, Laura. Hopefully it's just another thing that pregnancy has managed to cause.

We're not buying anything else until after the 20 week scan now. We've only bought our travel system so far so we've got a lot of catching up to do!

Amazing last night. I could feel her having a wriggle so I put my hand on my bump and I felt this little nudge. My OH hurried over and he managed to feel her too. The most incredible feeling ever :)

19 weeks today

Hope you're all well xx

Hi Girls,

Laura great pic, so cute! Glad you are getting lump checked, it could be a gland?

I'm not sleeping brilliantly either but haven't been for weeks now, work is insane, 6am-9pm every day; it's killing me!

No movement for a few days, looking forward to it being regular, find it unsettling!20 weeks Monday and 20 week scan tuesday!

I know what you mean about PF exercises. I am totally terrible at remembering to do them. I really need to too as my pelvic floor never fully recovered from DS! Although my consultant did tell me that most women never fully regain as much strength in their pelvic floor after a normal delivery as they had before, especially if they have a cut/tear. But I still need to do them more often, so am currently sat at work on my lunch break looking at this forum and pulsing away!

Just fell asleep in the middle of my uni lecture!!!! Oopsie! Here till 7ish then home to bed. Head hurts :( :( xxx

I'm planning on renting one, it has the best reviews for safety and not having a gap between it and bed. Also cheap and means it's not another thig to become redundant! Looked at snuzpod but felt it was too much with everything else. Also considered buying a new bednesy and returning it where they guarantee 50% money back (something like that!!)

Oh heck, I hadn't even thought about pelvic floor excercises! Best get started.

I had an uninvited bump rub today too. A woman at work. She did tell me she was going to but gave me no chance at all to say no, I wasn't too bothered, I know and like her. It'd be a whole different story if it was a stranger, I'd just be a bit flustered I think.

Baby was all over the place before I got up this morning but didn't move at all when OH put his hand on my tummy.
I can feel all sorts again as I write this, maybe the chocolate is to blame.

Hope docs went ok Laura.x

All is ok thanks ladies got it looked at and nurse said all looks ok nothing to worry about just another one of those pregnancy things
She advised me to get rid of my mirror and stop looking lol x

I still don't think I've felt baby move yet so I'm a little worried something is wrong. It doesn't help that I've spent that last week coughing my guts up. Have been off work today. First sick day in the 8 years I've been teaching!! I just want this cough to go away. Hope baby is ok though! Still haven't had my 20 week scan letter through yet. Thought it'd be here by now-booked my appt at 14 week scan, but not had the letter! I did however getting my speed awareness course letter through today-yay!! I did also get measured up for bras 38DD!! They are so not flattering though :-S my OH thinks they're sexy, but you I think he's just saying that!!xx

Hi twinkle
How far along are you now?
As regards scan letter I would give the hospital a call and get them to check for your details and appointment
I'm glad I did with mine and my midwife hadnt even put the request over :(

My oh was lovely (not) to me earlier said my pants looked stretched
I was like thanks so I have a big arse now then
Men they really know how to make you feel like poop don't they lol x

Twinkle toes, it may be that you have an anterior placenta which is why you aren't feeling any movements. I found out at the 16 week scan mine is, which is why I'm hardly feeling anything yet. They can't really tell at your 12 week scan, so might not have picked it up then. As for your 20 week one, I'd phone the scan unit and check everything is still booked in and remind them you don't have a letter, just for piece of mind. I know what you mean about maternity bras though, I guess it's the lack of underwire and really big straps that stops these bigger boobs looking sexy! Although I did find a black and white leopard print one in mothercare!

I'm sooooo glad it's not just me forgetting the pelvic floor exercises!! Must try harder to do them...

Baby's been wriggling around quite a bit this afternoon/evening - at least, it is actually baby and not just tummy grumbles, but if I'm right I think I'm starting to recognise them now! A pop or two that felt almost like little kicks, too... yaaaaaay!! :D

Twinkletoes try not to worry about not feeling anything yet (says me, ha...), a huge range of times is normal!

Glad everything's ok Laura :) Good advice on the mirror!!

I've just had one or two uninvited bump touches so far, but from people I know at least... wouldn't appreciate a complete stranger doing so, blimey! x

Just wondering if Lacey will post tonight. As it's the night before oh arrives I bet she won't sleep a wink! ;)

Crawkey me too!i was walking to the loo at uni and this random woman stopped me and doubled handedly started rubbing my belly -i was abit shocked as i find it acceptable with friends and family but a complete stranger???!? Hhhhmmmm not sure that sits well with me!
Hope your all well today? Slept amazingly last night and feel so much better.was led on sofa last night after a bath and oh had his head on my belly. He was tickling one side when he looked up a d said "was that one? I felt that" and as far as i could feel it was a teeny tiny littly kick out right onto daddies cheek :)
xxxxx

Lacey's HELLA excited now :love::love::love:

I can't believe this time tomorrow I'll be getting DS sorted to head off to the airport!!!

20 weeks on Saturday... Crazy.
All going well over here. Still can't walk, but apart from that, feeling pretty good.
Been on a major flat-tidy last couple days, so everything's lookin fab.

20 week scan on Tuesday...
Very exciting next few days :D

Hope everyone's doin well xx

Hi girls!

Twinkletoes how far on are you now? my midwife said anything from 18 to 21 weeks; is it your first? At first I didn't know what it felt like and missed a few movements I think. Also anterior placenta (like the others have said) can dull the feelings. I'm sure all is well, defo call hospital to get your date booked in!!

Lacey...hello lovely! Ahh one more sleep or lack of!! Really excited for you! xx

Hi everyone,

Laura, glad it went ok at the doctors and that it's just one of those pregnancy things. There's so many things pregnancy can cause!

Twinkletoes, try not to worry too much (I know, it's a lot easier said than done!). As others have said, it's normal not to feel any movement until later with your first, I read somewhere that it can be as late as 24 weeks. It may be the position of your placenta or where baby is laying. I would also ring the hospital to chase up your 20 week scan letter.

My boobs are still on the smaller than average size as I've always been small in that department, so I'm still wearing my old bras with no problems, yet!

Lacey, I bet you're counting down the hours now! Excited for you too. You'll have such an amazing time with your OH.

My 20 week scan has been moved! It was Friday 20th but apparently there's no sonographer available (:eh:) so it's been moved to Tuesday 17th! I can't complain as it's 3 days less that I have to wait. I'll be 19+6, that should be ok, right? I remember reading the scan can anything be from 18-22 weeks, or something, so I'm sure those 3 days won't make much difference.

Hope you're all well xx
