Timbuktales. I love it.
The curtains (which were my fave part of the set) won't fit our window so we're just going to get plain curtains but still use the cute little wooden tie backs.
the cot mobile is so lovely. Think that'll be the next purchase :)

Do you have a theme/colours in mind?x

I've been trying Haribo Tangfastics to get baby moving but it's not having much effect!!

I'm pretty sure I felt flutters yesterday though... It's happened a few times now that I'm recognising it and starting to believe it is baby rather than my tummy just gurgling a bit! x

Aww will have to have a look online
We had once upon a time range for our little one first time
Now we're looking at light pinks possible yellows got lots of googling to do :)
Hopefully what I get for my once upon a time set I will be able to put towards or hopefully nearly buy for new nursery x

I like the Timbuktales as they have a unisex range but then boy/girl ranges too. So once baby arrives we could get a couple of extra bits if we wanted to butch the place up or make it a bit more girly :)

I won the curtain tie backs. Including postage I've made a saving of £7.95. Haha, not really worth it.
Are you selling your first set?x

Oh wow crawkay that timbuktales set is super cute
Have you just got the curtains tie backs for now?

Yeah we're selling our first set the once upon a time range
We will have
Bedding
Cot bumper
3 canvases
3 hooks For back of door towels etc
Curtains which I paid to have black out lining put on also
And curtain tie backs

Will be sad to see it go but want something a little more colourful for this one :) x

We have the rabbit cuddly toy and now the tie backs yep.
Still want the mobile, some of the bedding, the change mat and probably the bunting and a canvas.
Expensive these little ones!

Makes sense to sell what you can though, ebay is full of stuff.x

Aww, the Once Upon a Time stuff is lovely. See what you mean about fancying a bit more colour this time. That's what we wanted too, a bit of brightness.

I've found a shop on ebay that does pics that have baby's name, bday and weight in the same style as loads of diff Mamas and Papas themes. Think I'll get one of those when baby arrives. It's probably breaking all sorts of copywright laws but sssshhh.x

Aww yeah that will be lovely crawkay :)
Love the mobile in the set your having very cute :)

You could go mad couldn't you

Can't wait till Tuesday so I can buy something eeekkkkk x

Is Tuesday your scan? You going shopping straight after?

I'm hanging on now, the room is in the middle of being decorated but not making it baby themed for a few more weeks yet.
My scan is a week on Thurs, getting a bit more anxious as it gets closer.x

Yeah scan is Tuesday at 12 can't wait

We're going to go shopping after as oh has day off so all of us inc little man are going to get just a couple of bits and have a look round see what's out there

We won't be doing the nursery for a while yet so no rush on buying
We moved into our house a few months ago and it needs work
We have a entire house rewire happening in 2 weeks time and then followed by joiner in to do every frame and door upstairs and then we still have decorating and plastering
Scary how much there is to be done don't know how it will be done in time :( x

I'm feeling extremely lucky, but at a bit of a loss as to how to go about preparing baby stuff at the moment. I've been offered SOOO much stuff: crib, moses basket, bouncy chair, breast pump, clothes, changing bag - but I haven't got it yet, so I don't know what it looks like, or colours to match with it.
I'm also buying the nursing chair and pram second hand, and have been told that someone has a cot I can have. It's awesome and is going to save me an absolute fortune, but on the days when I'm really keen to get sorted, I feel like driving to their house and saying 'come on then, hand it over', which makes me sound greedy and ungrateful.
it's funny as when the offers were coming in I was thinking it would mean I could save money for other things, but I can't think of anything else to buy at the moment! I'll be getting new mattresses for the cotbed, crib and moses basket, and a new car seat, but I may actually then be set!
Then it's just maternity stuff, right??

That's actually quite scary.

Just saw this bedding set babies r us
Quite cute :) good price too x

That's lovely and a brilliant price. Are you tempted?

You're pretty much kitted out with a full nursery there Loretta, well played! I know what you mean about wanting to be sorted though, I'd be the same.

My cousin is lending us moses basket, baby bath and Jumperoo so there's a bit of money saved.x

Yeah very tempted but know around Easter time baby sales will be on again and sure will be able to grab some bargains then
Can't wait to buy little girls outfits really struggled with my little boy

There are some beautiful baby clothes out there tesco and asda are fab prices
Next also ooooo could go crazy lol x

Do baby sales pop up quite often?
This is the first year I've ever needed to pay attention.x

Yeah they do around 4 a year know the last 2 years there has been one around Easter time :) x

Just got booked up for some classes at our hospital.
Not until May but midwife told me to get booked asap.

Prepartion For Labour & Birth plus hospital tour and then New Baby Practical the week after.
Anyone else booked in for anything similar or done them in the past?

Hi crawkay
Good idea to get booked in early they do fill up fast
They tend to have around 15-20 in a group or they did at my last ones
There very helpful if it's your first and I'm sure just as helpful for the second or more because I don't remember much

It's very informative in the build up to birth and I deff learnt a few new things
Also nice to chat to other mum to bes and if with partners gives them a great incite into it all and what they can do to help also

I'll never forget the prop for dilation lol scared the life out of me but so very glad I saw everything and got information to take away with me too
X

Eeek I didn't even realise you need to 'book up' for antenatal classes like that, I figured the midwife would just tell me when they'd start and I'd go with similar-time mums...? I just haven't a clue! I'll have to make sure to ask about that.

I did a stupid thing earlier and started playing catch with our boarding girls, thinking that would be a nice, gentle activity... till one girl threw high and I instinctively jumped/stretched to get it and really pulled down the side of my belly :/ It feels absolutely fine now but I think I need to be a bit more careful!!
