Just saw a coat that has a removable panel when growing during pregnancy
Really contemplating getting one as my coats getting tight and it's still very cold :) x

AnotherYou, it only entered my head coz midwife mentioned it at my last appointment and told me to get it sorted sooner rather than later.
I think each area probably does things a bit differently but I just went on the hospitals website and got the details of the person I needed to contact and she took all my details then got me booked in today. I was surprised she got back to me on a Sunday.
She didn't offer me a breastfeeding class, I would like to go to one of them.x

Ooh right, that's good to know. I was offered a form to register with the local children's centre when I was there for my midwife appointment on Fri, so I wonder once I've registered there if I'll get some information? I'll ask when I hand the forms in!

I also just got told this by a younger boarder... "Miss, no offense but, while you're not like, proper pregnant yet, it looks just a bit fat still..." Wow. Thanks...! x

I was feeling a bit like that just before so did the following....
Lay on my back with knees up then lifted my bum off the floor and wiggled about a bit. I got a couple of kicks a few seconds after I stopped.
Worth a try :) xx

Claire me too! Figure it's moved whilst iv been busy! Xx

Hi everyone, Claire, bonze is right, probably been moving while you were busy, try not to panic at this early stage.

Slightly busy weekend here, spent yesterday tidying up for a house viewing only to find out as they were halfway round the house they had got the wrong house. They wanted to view the 4 bed house down the street, but had contacted the wrong estate agent! Oh well, never mind, hopefully will sell soon.

Then spent all of today over at my parents for full Sunday dinner and family time. Lots of questions about how I'm feeling and how I'm coping with everything, but good to know they care. I know other people on here have found everyone more laid back with second children and just left them to it assuming that as they had been through it before they wouldn't need any help or support.

Felt a tiny bit of movement in the car on the way home I think, but might just have been car vibrations, hard to tell, especially with anterior placenta!

Just been lying in bed. Hand on tummy. Got kicked hard enough to feel externally. Called oh. Sat for five mins with his hand there... Nothing. Ten mins later he settles into bed, tried again. Got a proper kick in the finger. I thought I'd felt something earlier this week but really didn't think it would be noticeable externally yet.

Crawkey just tried that -nothing :( will keep watch today.sometimes has a wriggle when im at my desk - was so tempted by a doppler yestersay xxxx

I know I keep banging on about it and that it sounds like stupid advice but maybe try Lucozade and chocolate. It sent mine hyper for probably 10 or so minutes on Saturday. Took almost an hour but worked. I realise it's not medically sound advice but I read that a few people had been told to do it before scans.

Also, if it's going to help put your mind at rest, buy a doppler.

Everything is a worry so I just think, do anything that calms you down :) xx

I just baught a can of coke so gunna see if thatl work. I habe a sugary cup of tea and cak! Somethings gota work!!!!xxx

Cokes done something - its either baby or trapped wind!hahahahah but theres something going on in there! Xxx

Morning Ladies

Hope you are all doing well! I feel like i've missed loads with being away! Had a nice visit to Belgium to see family who are all very excited about the baby ended up bringing back loads of bits that they had bought (and some that I bought ) makes a change to the usual beer and chocolates I bring back (well ommitted the beer this time can't not bring back chocolate :oooo::))

While I was away my Pac a Pod changing bag arrived and it is brilliant (was in the sale too!) I was recommended it by my cousin as she swears by hers and I have to agree I can see it coming in very handy!

I have also ordered a pre packed mother & baby hospital bag with all the essentials in from Amazon for £24! Again something that was recommended to me as it has all the important things in that you might need all you have to do is add clothes and comes in a cute red polka dot holdall so can't wait to get that delivered!

We seem to have so much stuff already that I need to start making a list of what we have/ still need - I just can't wait to get rid of the bed in the spare room and beable to see the space properly so we can start decorating!

xx

Morning! Welcome back Boosh, glad you had a lovely time!

19weeks today and have been taking a bump pic every day since week 14; the difference is amazing; its so much higher and the bloat has gone now!!

still no moving this morning; i'm sure its just coincidence though...might go get me a coke!

I feel like I'm slacking with purchases compared to you guys, I have my cotbed, and some clothes that's it! eek best start writing a list...anyone found a good generic one I could use?

Also suppose I should start thinking about writing a hospital bag list. I know most woman say don't worry too much but I'm so panicked about hospital knowing I have every eventuality covered will make it all the better!

Welcome back boosh :)

ive managed to book a midwife appt at docs tomorrow so im gunna go get her to listen to baby just to be sure. This does not help us with stress levels does.it! Gosh! Xxxx

BonzE, I have been lucky enough to get a lot of things given to me by family as we have had 2 new babies in the family last year so I have been given all the bits they have grown out of like moses basket, clothes etc.
Furniture wise my FIL is making the changing table/drawers and the wardrobe and he made the cot bed for SIL's eldest so we will get that once he has made a bed for the youngest to go in to :)
I have just tapped up a lot of the baby events, especially Aldi and Asda I got 6 Tommee Tippee 0+ bottles for £9 at Aldi! I'll be waiting till easter to get some more bits as I hear that is when there will be more sales on.
I have also found that Amazon is a good starting point and you can create a baby wish list that you can make public or keep private - I just typed in baby essentials newborn and scrolled through some stuff I don't think is essential but others are quite good - I put them on my list then try find them cheaper somewhere else :)
Shopping for baby things is the most fun shopping I have done in a long time haha! xx

BonzE, I got my list from the mothercare website, it's great. Includes a hospital bag list too!! I'm keeping it next to a highlighter pen and marking things off as we buy them! Xx

Hey ladies hope your all well
I am getting so nervous about the scan tomorrow
Not going to sleep well tonight I don't think :( x
