Sorry KWarbee, can't help re the screening.
We decided not to go with the downs screening. The sonography knew that and said it looked fine to him, so I'm happy.
2nd scan date came through for 20 Feb.
Gonna go pram hunting this weekend and try a few for myself instead of just googling them.
:o)

Kwarbee, I have to go for quadruple blood tests but midwife told me if there was anything wrong we'd hear within a couple of days and if not a letter would come through in about 7-10 days.

We went looking at prams today Loretta. Sooo much choice, found Mothercare to have the best range. OH was drawn to all the £900+ systems, Jools in particular. They are lovely but can't justify that sort of money, especially as my mum has said she'll buy it for us.
I love the Cosatto Giggle 2.x

I got mine bsck after about 10 days and all was good ! Got my scan date it's the 18th of feb. Staying team yellow but I think it's a boy x

Crawkay-we love the Cosatto Giggle 2 :) we are going to look at it with parents (its ideal for me as I don't have a car so will e good for when I'm walking and getting on and off buses!)

Ooh, which pattern/s do you like?
Fable is my fave.x

LOL we are so in sync!!! Thats the one we are going to get :) - have you seen the fab offer at the moment with free car seat xxx

See now you've got me looking at the Cosatto Giggle 2.... ;)

I know! It's such a good price at the moment. It was £380 in Mothercare today.
I've read reviews about them collapsing but apparently that was the original design and was fixed on the 2.
I just love them :)

The Giggle 2 is awesome! Your right it was the first model - we went to Babies R Us and hubby basically took it apart to scrutinise it, I wanted to see how easy it was to change the different attachments and its so easy! I didn't think I would like a 3 wheeler, but I really liked this. Its such a massive saving, are you thinking of ordering hun? xxx

I don't know.
We kind of feel like we want to wait a bit longer but if we do we may miss out on the free car seat offer, unless that's a permanent 'special offer'??

No more bleeding today. It was only such a tiny amount,so didn't panic!! Been checking every time I wee today (which has been a lot)!!

Feel like I'm getting a little bump now though!! It's exciting!!!xx

That cosetto is exactly the kind of pram/pushchair I'd recommend.

Three wheels make steering sooo much easier than a four wheel, and the single-bar handle means you can easily push/steer/control one-handed.

I don't know about how it folds/carries etc as I've not real-life seen it.

We're probably not bothering with a pram until this time next year at least as I'll just wrap-sling-carry baby, and we don't have a car so I'll be using DS's car seat on the odd time my mum an dad wanna go somewhere when they visit xx

I really want to try a sling this time
I'm hoping to breast feed baby no 2 so hoping that a sling could make that easier when out and about and keep us covered also x

Welcome to tri 2 Claire

We bought our pram/travel system earlier this week in the Mothercare sales. We got a Graco Evo with a 'free' car seat. I've since read some bad reviews about the car seat online and I'm a bit worried now! The pram seems great though. Not too expensive, lightweight and easy to use. Looks nice and comfortable for baby too.

We saw a couple in ASDA last night who had the same travel system and I couldn't help myself; I asked them how they were finding it. Their little girl (approx 8 weeks-ish) was looking snug and happy in her car seat. They were really positive about it so that's made me feel better about it!

xx

Feeling unhappy again about the car seat now. Just read more terrible reviews about it :wall2: I think we've made the wrong choice. At least we haven't actually got the travel system yet, I think we'll be exchanging it for another one!! xx

Different things work for different people.so maybe give it a go?!? My friend had this mega expensive top of th3 range travel system and i hated using it! Was awfull! I baught the tio+ from babies r us. Not a brand but easy to use, lightweight, not too bulky and i love.it. maybe giv3 it a try xxxx

Yeah, I was in that mindset last night and trying to be positive. But if we give it a try and it doesn't work then I've heard they can be a bit funny about refunds/exchanges, so we'd be stuck with it. The reviews are so bad, people are demaning it should be recalled! Will have a think about it xx

I ended up with Mothercares own make pushchair for £150.

It was absolutely brilliant.

I got it around six months, but it was suitable from birth.

Expense doesn't always equal quality.

If you're not happy with it, exchange it. You'll only spend forever worrying about it otherwise. No sense having something you're not confident in.

I think it'll definitely play on my mind if we don't exchange it for another one, I don't want to leave it until we realise it really doesn't suit baby. We don't have lots of money to spend on the travel system so we won't be going for any of the bigger brands anyway, just a reasonably priced one xx
