_>•~*X*~July 2015 Mummies-to-be!!!~*X*~•<_

Hey everyone. Hope you're all feeling OK. Excited there's a July thread in Tri 3, how did this happen?! Happy Tri 3 Laura :-)

And happy DDD KWarbee! I think the furniture is lovely. It's a similar colour to ours, I love the slightly darker wood. We were soooo close to going for a Boori cotbed Ingridika, they are gorgeous and such good quality (did the shake test in John Lewis, haha). Ended up going for a Mamas and Papas set in the end though as it was half price and cheaper for the whole lot than the Boori cotbed on its own!

Hope the thrush is better today Toni.

Claire can we see some nursery pics? :-)

Fingers crossed for a better nights sleep for everyone tonight xxx

Hopefully the winds outside keep down tonight as it didn't help having DD in our bed from 3am and then up at 7:30 to take my dad for an appointment.

And congratulations on tri3 Laura :)

Midwife appt all fine. Consultant said baby was a bit big, but midwife measured bump as bang on track. Little else to report. Other than finding it hard to tie my shoes. Roll on the sunny days so I can crack out the flip flops.

What a shit weeks sleep. I have been having nightmares every night that iv lost the baby. It's causing me so much anxiety at the moment. Our best friends lost their bub at 32 weeks only a month before we got pregnant so I think it's playing on my mind.

Not meaning to bring you all down but I'm exhausted and really emotional at the moment! Yesterday I spent an hour crying for no reason! Not usually a negative person!

Anyway happy hump day! X x

Happy DDD Twinkletoes!

Glad your appointment went well Loretta. I can't wait for flip flop time too, I always live in them in summer. Generally can't wait for summer :-)

Aww BonzE sorry to hear you're feeling down. Sending you hugs. Really sorry about your friends baby, it must have been so difficult. I hope the dreams stop for you soon and you're getting plenty of TLC xxxx

I woke up with quite bad cramps this morning and baby has been unusually active. It's worried me a bit as I've not had any cramping since week 4. I just assumed it was round ligament pain but when I looked that up it said thats a sharp pain but it's not like that at all- it's more achy like a period pain. Does that sound normal? Guess I'll just keep an eye on it and take it easy today.

Hope everyone has a good day xxx

Happy DDD twinkle x

Sorry your having cramping pains Lola I would try to take it easy and if it's still persisting ring your midwife to have a chat about it x

I slept a lot better last night baby was right up the top of my bump this morning above my belly button poking something out was a nice change to feeling her so low down and meant for the first night in weeks I didn't need to get up to go to the loo lol

How is everyone today?
Work those pelvic floors ladies x

Thanks Laura :-) Feeling a bit better now so fingers crossed it's just everything stretching in there. Glad you had more sleep last night.

Saw baby move for the first time today- so strange but so lovely to see!

Looking forward to seeing nursery pics Claire :-) xxx

Aww Lola, it's amazing isn't it!!!! Iv only seen my belly move once a couple of days ago, can't wait to start seeing elbows and feet (even though I can imagine it being slightly uncomfortable) lol. Hope your cramps have eased off?

Happy DDD Twinkle!

Glad all went well with your appointment Loretta :)

Sorry to here you aren't feeling to good atm BonZE, hope your sleep returns to normal soon. I know vivid dreams and nightmares are more common in pregnancy :( not very nice.

Need some advice ladies, will you be going with sleeping bags, or blankets for your little ones? I don't know whether to get a few of both to give them both a go?? Also, I have no clue about togs when it comes to bags, is 1 tog exceptable for the summer? Xx

Happy double digit day Twinkle :)

Hope those pains/cramps have eased now Lola, it can be a bit of a stress when random pains pop up. I'm slowly learning that all sorts of unusual stuff is normal though.

I have a couple of sleeping bags Kaylip, both are 2.5 tog and the label says they are good for temps between 10 and 20 degrees.
They say from 0 months but I know some people just use blankets for the first few weeks. I think (stressing the think there) blankets are ok at first as baby doesn't wriggle as much and also feels a bit more secure being a bit bundled up...
That may all be completely wrong though, anyone feel free to correct me.

I am not happy today. I sneezed and almost had an accident! I did not sign up for that!!

Crawkay I feel your pain sneezed and a little bit of wee came out!! Great!! Pelvic floor has had a good workout since though!! Haha.

I have bought sleeping bags and blankets. Bought some open weave blankets-they have a special name, but can't for the life of me remember what they're called!! Baby brain!! But I figured I'd need blankets for the pram anyway!

Just seen my friends nursery-I'm proper jealous (in a good way!!) cos I wana get in out house and get ours started! I'm wondering if I should get the wall stickers now then I can have them put up as soon as we get in the house!! Xxx

I have only got blankets at the moment as couldn't find any 1tog ones? They were all 2.5? I have nooooo idea about this stuff though! Xx

The bags I have aren't Grobags but just got this from their website....

The Tog rating describes the warmth or "Thermal Resistance" of a product and is widely used in the UK to explain warmth levels of duvets. Grobag Baby Sleep Bags are tog tested to conform to BS4745:1990 and to the new British Standard BS 8510:2009. Latest advice from Health professionals is that Baby Sleep Bags should be ‘lightweight' and to meet the new British Standard, Baby Sleep Bags must be between 2.0 and 3.5 togs for temperatures between 10°C and 20°C. This is why our main range of Grobags are 2.5 togs for the recommended ideal nursery temperature range of 16°C and 20°C.

That makes it sound as if 1 tog would always be too cool/thin?

Sure the midwife or people running any classes we attend can advise us, hope so anyway!
It does seem as though 2.5 tog is the most common tog and suitable for temp baby's room is meant to be though, regardless of the time of year.

Oh dear me. Can't even think about getting my head round togs yet.
I think I'll stick to crochet and yoga and deal with it later.
And buying a car seat. Too stressful.
