Would we get hospitalized for sever morning sickness?

Yea i didnt no about hg. Just thought u got mild or bad sickness lol x

I am not sure how good of an idea is this thread for the forum....

Anyway obviously she gets treated faster and easier, I do to as I am a doctor... It's the way it is nth to be jealous really. In an ideal world everything would have been fast and easy but that's probably not going to happen...
Hyperemesis has nth to do with normal morning sickness, it's a life threatening condition.
And yes the doctors are fairly right to not be so quick to treat you for morning sickness unless its that bad. No treatment in first trimester comes with no risk for the baby really...

Am I the only one that finds normal that the whole world is stirring around the royal family???
I am not even in uk btw but that's how it is everywhere....

Well I certainly am not a royal fan, never have been and never will be but I won't be voicing my opinions on them as that is another story lol.

When I read about Kate being hospitalised for "severe morning sickness" I did actually feel sorry for her though, as morning sickness is terrible and I suffered it bad enough, I dread to think how bad it has to be to be put in hospital! I wouldn't wish it on anyone, regardless of my opinion of there family.

However I do tend to think that she isn't as bad as the media like to make out and there version of "severe" is different to us everyday humans version of "severe" but that's just life. The royals/celebrity's will always get preferential treatment and it's something we must accept as on the grand scheme of things we are just mere mortals lol.

I imagine in the royal palace Kate said "William my darling, one feels a little queasy" and within micro seconds a big red button on the wall was pressed which summoned a car that was escorted to the best possible hospital bed in town lol. No time or expense spared for our new royal baby in the making. I also certainly doubt that she lost more than a couple of pound before being admitted, no where near the stone+ that one of us would have to lose to be granted a precious hospital bed. But that's just my opinion :D xxx

Bear in mind she most definitely has private health care ladies

You want to be seen asap that is the way to go

Don't be so quick to think she's privileged lol????

 fapatalking

Wish i never did this thread lol! I literally just wanted to no if we would get same treatment with sever sickness. i didnt no about hg lol!
Grr me n my big mouth.
Tambo-Lol one feels a bit queezy, love it x

I don't think the QM having a priviledged lifestyle is why she lived so long! My grandpa was in his late 90s when he passed and his life certainly wasn't priviledged! Some people just live longer' I think it's pretty sad how everyone assumes royals get preferential treatment for everything when really, they don't, we just hear about more cos they're in the public eye!

Might have known you'd be in this thread you proper piss glitter over the royal don't you pinang! !!

 fapatalking

I saw it and thought morning sickness :-/ is that it but I googled what they had reported 'acute morning sickness' and wow do I feel for the poor woman! She is carrying the future king/queen. So much pressure on her as it is.

Hope she feels better soon!

I do have a love for the royals yes  but tbh, the fact she's potentially carrying a future king makes it even less likely the media are overreacting with it! I know I for one would rather be in my own bed when poorly, plus they would be wanting to keep it as hush hush as poss! Royal or not, they wouldn't hospitalise her just cos she was a bit queasy!

I agree with this! Whether she's royal or not she's paying for private healthcare and that is why she'll have been seen so fast. As netty said-you wanna be seen so fast then go private! Does it matter if she's royalty? She's obviously poorly! If it was anyone else, someone on here for example, there would be lots of sympathy. I feel sorry for her, and I am def not royalist! I feel sorry for her as one person to another, one mother to a mother to be and I think it's awful there's so much judging going on!

Sorry but private healthycare IS privaliged. Why? Cos you have to be earning loads to be abel to afford it!

We've looked into private healthcare when when I was so poorly with HG and took so long for them to sort me but jeeeeeeeez hubby would have to run a gold mine to pay for it!

Quite a few people get private healthcare through work these days! I know my sister does and she doesn't really earn much tbh! But yea, if you dint have a work scheme it's pretty bloody costly!

They do a test for keytones in your urine, if they are present in ANYONE you would be hospitalised, they wouldn't just take a guess she's dehydrated and bung her in hossy, I'm sure she will genuinely have HG. There's a girl on here who was hospitalised with it tallulahgosh I think her name is.

One of my work friends was hospitalised with it she was dehydrated so they kept her in for a few days , she also lost weight as she was being sick so much and cudnt keep anything down x

I think the royal family will always split opinion because of where their income comes from. They are entitled to spend their money on private health care if they choose, as I'm sure I would if I had that kind of income. It's where they get their income from in the first place which a lot of people have issue with (although this is perhaps for another forum entirely!)

There is so little of Kate that I suspect she's very quickly got in a bad way if she has HG. She's gone to a hospital the royals know and trust to maintain their privacy. How many of us would have our first pregnancy splashed over the newspapers, especially before we got to 12 weeks. I think if she could have avoided hospital she would have, just to keep it quiet, and any one of us would have got the same treatment, she's just able to get it in nicer surroundings which would have quiet possibly been the case if she hadn't become a royal too, she wasn't poor before.

The main point here is that Kate Middleton is going to be a mummy... :dust: the most wonderful thing ever. Of course she is going to be treated quickly, she is married to the future King and also carrying future King or Queen! Unfortunately if we didn't have all of these celebs/important people who were in the public eye, some people would not be educated about certain things and also gain valuable knowledge! Maybe, just maybe Kate has been seen a bit more readily seen, but would we really expect anything less? and like other ladies have said HG is horrible...and you would most certainly go down hill quicker the smaller you are...if I had suffered with it...I would have had quite a lot of spare padding lol.

Recently I read some awful comments about Michelle Heaton who had a double mastectomy for health reasons!! Why are people so cruel?? The fact is that 'She is not more important than any of the thousands of other ladies that go through this' BUT when things are publicised in the media, we become aware. Think of the thousands of girls who have checked their boobs because of this and also how many have made sure they go for smear tests when Jade Goody passed away!! Can only be a good thing!! (Sorry completely off topic, but same principal)

I do completely understand where people come from when they say...well because we aren't famous/rich etc we dont get that attention, as bloody hell I would love to have tonnes of money coming out of my ears and yes sometimes feel jealous...but that is just the way the world works.

Congratulations Kate Middleton!!! :) xxxx

She really has to be private just for security alone tbh, i wish we could go private but we just don't have that sort of money. I don't think they will have rushed her in over nothing as she isn't even 12 weeks yet so wouldn't want to announce it.

xx

Dc that's a very good point, her family are wadded so she would more than likely have had private healthcare anyway! You never know, her parents could be paying for it still! Not likely, but possible! Like it or not, the royal family bring a hell of a lot of economy to the country, just look at the worldwide fascination with her pregnancy already! I actually think it's quite admirable that she's "come out" so soon and they've spoken about her being so poorly! Usually royal pregnancies are really hush hush, particularly before 12 weeks! They could have just said she had a mystery illness or something!

I don't have a problem that she is treated so well and quickly, I think the issue is more that other women with HG haven't had such good care, the are often treated like they are overreacting over normal MS. Looking at the positive hopefully the fact Kate has HG will raise public and medical awareness which will help women who have it in the future to get better understanding from others and better treatment.
