Why are my bank hols getting pro rated?

Found out a couple of weeks ago.

Going back 4 days per week and just wonderd if anyone else had this? Ps I will be working Mon and Fri which accounts for all bank hols x

it will be because you are going back as part time hours??

Yeah, its just I thought you automatically got it if you worked that day of the week

I used to work in retail and everyone get every bank hol regardless of the no of hours they worked.... (unless they weren't contracted to work that day)

I am back 5 mins and already wondering about my time off

mines are pro rata'd. it was crap when i used to work mondays

Mine are prorated, but as I work wed-fri I actually gain a couple of hours this year. One of my friends works Mon-thur and she loses slightly by the prorating as most bank hols are on a Monday.
