hello tri2 ladies.

i think in a few weeks i'm going to have to buy some maternity bras :( i already have big ones let alone with the extra weight, i dread to think how big i'm going to get.

so this morning i thought i'd have a look online and suddenly thought..where on earth do you go?? xxx

I got a few things from Matalan, some jeans from Debenhams, and a couple of things from Peacocks.
New Look and H&M also do good maternity ranges xx

Oh, I just re-read your post and realised you said maternity bras! Sorry! I haven't even bought any of those yet as my boobies still haven't grown! :( x

I bought a maternity bra from Bravissimo, they have some pretty good bits x

Marks and Spencer do maternity bras but they aren't very sexy tbh!! More for comfort!

Mamas and Papas have some lovely matching sets :)

thanks ladies, lulu thanks for the tips on the general clothes shops, i'm going to have a look in preperation :)

xx

I've got a couple from mother care and m&s but you can get any bra long as it don't have wires in and fits well. Materlan do some but havent had my size in only £4!

I haven't bought maternity bras just bigger normal 1s and finding them fine at the moment :)

Try ebay for general maternity clothes, I never buy the bundles but have bought individual items at bargain prices!!!

I just bought a non-wired bra in M&S, very pleased (went from size A/B to size D ) :) The lady who did fitting for me adviced not to buy proper maternity bras yet - said they are expensive, and I do not need them yet, as they are more useful for breastfeeding. There will be plenty of time to get those, and my size will probably change by that time anyway.

Apart from bras, Next has a good range of stuff (but some shops don't store maternity things, so can only buy online) and I do love Pumpkin Patch things (plus they now send me vouchers etc).

GAP also has some basic maternity things - jeans mostly. I wasn't very inspired by anything at their store, but I guess it's just not my style.

Basically... I haven't... My usual clothes are still fitting me fine at the moment :) But to be fair I lost a lot of weight before I fell pregnant so my clothes were a bit on the loose side... And my boobs haven't grown at all so I haven't bought any maternity bra's either.... x

omg, positivity, didn't see your BFP, congrats!

My boobs got uncomfy and I got measured for and bought two maternity bras at around 8 weeks. Had already gone up in size loads. Only got 2, one for washing, the other for wearing and they've done me fine so far. £22 for two, admitedly not the prettiest underwear but does the job well.

As for other clothes, am managing to go for bigger sizes for most things rather than maternity wear, but have had a few bargains from new look maternity range. Peacocks are good as well and not too expensive.

I went on and got measured when I was about 11 weeks as my usual bras were getting really uncomfortable. Had gone up from a C cup to an E! Got measured in M&S, got a pack of 2 maternity bras, 1 black & 1 white for £25. Not cheap but they are so so comfortable and well worth it. Also got a prettier one in Debenhams for £14 so now I have 3 which has been enough so far x x

I was having trouble finding well fitting bras for the last few weeks as my breasts really have grown a lot. The best places for bras that I found were TKMaxx: they have a great selection of stretchy sports bras that fitted me perfectly, and Bravissimo: they have a nice selection of very supportive non wired bras in larger sizes. I got one with nice wide straps when I went for a fitting yesterday and found out that I'm now a 32G (up from 32DD!). So between this one and the nice sports bras I think I'm sorted for a month or two at least.

I did ask about nursing bras while I was there and was told that it was best to come to be measured for one 2 weeks before your due date, as you're likely to grow more until then.

PS - as for general maternity wear, M&S do fantastic, very elegant stretchy trousers that sit nicely over your bump and look great. They're not in a special maternity range, just intermingled with their normal trousers. And, I recently got some nice reduced tops from GAP (the one in Cambridge was having a maternity sale and stuff was like £5!)

i bought some bra's from m&s just the non wired pack of two for £16. They come in black and white and also some pretty colours. Also managed to get pack of two bras from there in the sale for 50p! couldnt believe my eyes so bought them in the cup size up aswell! They are so comfy and can see they will be brilliant when breast feeding!

I got a few Maternity Bras from Marks and Spencers that I love, their so comfy!! Ohh and one from figleaves too :)

For maternity clothes I've got quite a bit from H&M, New Look, Next and Matalan xxx

hey, I just wrote a post in another forum room, thought I'd mention it here as well:

you can get 15% off at Figleaves (they do maternity underwear) if you use code FIGVC.
