Maternity Clothes?

Hello ladies!

Well, it's getting to that time at last where I need to consider getting some maternity clothes. I don't actualy have a bump yet at all but every time I eat a meal I bloat up like a whale and my old clothes are not standing up to the challenge at all, they are tight and restrictive so I want to slip into something a bit more comfortable.

What I want to know is, where is the cheapest place to get maternity clothes? We are on a very tight budget so I need cheap but good. Also, suggestions of how to get through pregnancy maybe just buying bigger sized clothes from normal shops.... I don't know!

Mothercare has a sale on at the moment; I bought a dress there yesterday reduced from £30 to £21 - its cool and soft and very comfy! Otherwise I might suggest Ebay

Apart from maternity jeans I bought from new look for £18 (godsend!) I just bought everything else in a larger size. A tip a shop assistant said is to buy tops for tall ladies so they're a bit longer on you for your bump.

i went to george best jeans ever £14 for under the bump and linen trousers £12 and picked up a load of maternity t shirts £3 each!

Thanks for the quick replies ladies, need to go shopping before work so very appreciated! I didn't know New Look did a maternity range?! Looks like i'm going to be popping there and Mothercare then. Some of the sale items are just cheap enough for me, hehe!

Asda's, Peacocks and eBay

New Look have a maternity range, didn't realise until I had a look online yesterday - always cheap in there. Peacocks are very cheap too, I have previously bought stuff from H&M and they are pretty cheap.

I would always say try the supermarkets too, Asda, Tesco, Sainsburys as they alsways have some good stuff.

Oh and I nearly forgot, Matalan!

New look are my favourite maternity shop! I never bought anything from there prepregnancy but I love my mat jeans from there which have adjustable waist to grow as your bump grows, I also have two dresses from there and a pack of t shirts from peacocks x x love my mat clothes x

New Look and Peacocks both have Maternity Range and sales and they are rather good. Also ebay and I have been buying lots of long tops etc from Primark, just a bigger size and they fit really nicely. There have been good sales on asos.com as well. Tops and dresses for under £10 etc. Good luck!xx

I got my work trousers from New Look, they've got the adjustable waist so even fit with no bump, then expand out to huge sizes lol! Hoping they will go most of the way through the pregnancy
I'm going with leggings/long tops too, so easy! But I must buy longer leggings - I only have knee length ones so have to keep on top of the leg hair hehe

Awesome answeres ladies! I went to Mothercare before work yesterday and got a pair of jeans and a pair of work trousers for £10 each, there are the comfiest things that I have ever worn!! Lol!!

I got a pair of maternity jeans when I was 10 weeks.. I now need a new pair. They are the stretchy waist kind, but they dont sit up on bump now because my hips/ top os thighs got wider so I cant pull them right up where they need to be, the top ends up rolling up under bump and its very uncomfrtable sitting down.

Hi, ASOS online has a cheap and very fashionable maternity range, Primark for Linen Trousers in larger sizes. All the shops like New Look, River Island, Debenhams have lots of flosty style tops in this summer, that is what I am wearing xox
