Hi

I am 37 weeks pregnant now, but was just wondering, when you go into labour do you call the midwife (though I am only under a community one) or when I go into hospital do they call her?

at my hospital... they said to call in when my contractions are 5 mins apart so that shud incase delievery rooms are full....they can get me transfered asap

My community midwife has said to ring the ward if waters break as you have to be induced after 36 hours if nothing has happened. If I am just having contractions I can ring the ward for advice or ring when they are 5 mins apart and then go in... not to ring the community midwife at all.

Yeah I think thats what I gotta do Sarah!!

Must differ in areas :)

i was told to call the labour ward. they would call my midwife if needed.

No one has told me what to do so i think i will just phone the labour ward :? :?

Same here Eblinx, no one has told me anything!

Yep I have been told to call the labor ward if my waters break and they advise you to go in when contractions are 10 mins apart.

I have a community mw from a team which means that one of the mw's is always at the hospital.........i think!!??
