PS: I think you have to be 29 weeks to legally start your maternity leave anyway...I would defo check that out...

ah yes sorry 125 a week ! no I'm afraid that's the way it is for us, it's all a bit complicated.I'm a flight attendant and was grounded straight after I declared my pregnancy,so could work on the ground for a few months but maternity starts in april...I will get 125/week til january 2012 though..then I can stay home on no pay until july 2012 if I decide to(baby will be 1)..could be worse I guess !

im not sure when i should take mine, as i dont know who big im going to get, or how tired i will be! i am lucky in the fact that my boss has already said i can have a chair by the till, take more breaks ect when i need too! though as the job itself involves getting stock from the stockroom for customers, moving delivery and cleaning different hight shelves, i think i will end up quite limited!

however i am unluck with the fact that i will only be paid maternity pay for 36 weeks, 16 of which will be at full pay (£119pw) and the rest will be smp (which will be 90% of my full pay = £107.10 pw) i also have the option of continuing my maternity leave with no pay, so i could take upto 52 weeks!

I'm planning to work a week before my due date if possible. I have a desk job, so it shouldn't be too difficult to carry on at work....I just need to run this by my doctor now for opinions.

Well I'm now going at 33/34 weeks so aiming to leave 31st may and babys due 17th july so 6 weeks early x

I'm going at 34 weeks on 30th June, taking 26 days leave then start my actual maternity leave on 8th August (i'm due on the 10th) so got 6 weeks before baby due. So can get nursery done and last few bit s we'll need and then hopefully get some sun for a couple weeks before the madness begins lol x

I plan to go on June 5th (I'll be 34 weeks) hopefully ill make it that far, i work on my feet all day so may struggle. I have also got 8 weeks annual leave to take before, but plan to work most of it for extra cash for bubs
