I never ever wanted kids they just didn't interest me when i was younger. When i was 19 and my friend had her baby i started liking them...but was too scared as i thought i was too young, now im 20 ... 21 at xmas and decided to try 6 months ago i know im young too but you just know when its all you can think about that its right. Now ive got baby brain 24/7

Hi Cherelle, well it really does sound like you're ready and have your act firmly together! I think that is far more important than age. I always worry when I see the 'flakey people' with kids and they are usually just much too young (my step brother for example!) but it sounds like exactly the right time for you guys. FX it happens soon xxx

I think i was thinking about having kids by about 30, but then i married my husband who is 10 years older than me making him 35 so i wanted to get a move on as i want a large family and don't want my husband to be 40 with a house full of kids to chase after.

Plus, my friend starting trying at 35 and she was already biologically over the hill - isn't that scary?! - and she knows loads of people her age in exactly the same position. "Infertile for no reason" by 35. She had successful IVF though so it isn't the end of the world.

As for enjoying my own life, i figured that older people enjoyed life more than younger people. By the time the kids move out, i should only be 45-50 and i'll have more money and less insecurities to really go and enjoy life before i get packed off to the old folks home

I was 21 when we started to TTC. I was 22 when LO was born.
At 24 now looking back I still dont feel it was too young. x

I think my answer might shock you a bit..... but I've wanted kids since I was 15/16.

I hadn't met the right man then though, but I have now [I'm now 20], and after our 2 little angels we're finally getting our baby

I think it stems from the fact that my Mum was 31 when she had me, and I always wanted to be younger than that when I had kids, as I have always been quite "grown up" about things.

My boyfriend at 15 had a little brother who I doted on and adored, and that set off my clock ticking... I just had to wait until I found the right man

my mum was 28 when I was born, I remember saying to her as a teenager that she was such an old mum and that she was far too old to be having me at 28. Now I'm 29 and the rate things are going will be at least 30 before I have a baby talk about being made to eat your words

30 isnt old hunni - ive always wanted children from my twenties when i married my ex but fate had other ideas - met my soulmate and we decided that seeing as we both wanted children why wait - came off the pill end of January and conceived our Angel March but yet again good old fate- the month after miscarriage conceived this little one and will get our much wanted baby next march x Things always happen for a reason and when the time is right u will all get your BFPs im sure of it xox

Mine has been ticking for years, we've talked about it and OH wasn't really bothered. Had a massive argument in Sept 2008 about as i wanted kids, and he thought it was a quick way for me to get out of a job that i hate. ( I'm still there, so bang goes his theory!) After 2 weeks of living around eachother and not talking, we had it all out in the open and i think it finally hit home when I yelled out that he was worried about turning into his dad (Never met him, but apparently he's an a hole) and that i wasn't getting any younger. So we got hitched last year and started trying.

We've been together since i was 18 and i'm 29 now. I am determined t have a BFP by the time i'm 30 at least
