there's this song that my mam used to sing to me when I was little....she was never very good at remembering the words so she used to kind of hum half of it and sing a few lyrics that she did know, but I used to like it so I sing it now to Lydia and she always smiles loads at me when I do.
I don't even know what the song is called or who sang it or anything.
It goes something like this (from my mother's sketchy lyrics):
I'll never let you go
Why?
Because I love you
(repeat again)
dum de dum de dum (missing lyrics)
with a love like yours and mine
I love you
and you love me
all the time.
thats kinda it lol.
She also gets a kick out of twinkle twinkle little star when I sing it to her aswell.
I've just done a google search for it, its called WHY. apparantly it was originally done by Anthony Newley, and then Frankie Avalon, and later Donnie Osmond. Dunno which version my mother knew - one of the earlier ones I expect.
She got the lyrics slightly out of order by the look of it but not to worry lol.
I love wind the bobbin up, my mum used to sing it to me.
Seren loves row, row your boat. Its great for when she is grizzly. She also likes it when I sing either Nothing Else Matters or Sad but True by Metallica lol.
