What is happening to my body? Is this m/c?

I don't know what is happening to my body! I had a scan last week Friday (6weeks 2 days I think) and heartbeat was found, but the bleeding has never stopped and since then it became heavier and I am passing clots (not too big ones, a few blobs each time I go to the loo (sorry for TMI!), I have been feeling exactly as if I am on my period (period pains, moody, irritable, and the same flow (so quite a lot of red blood) and I have no idea what is happening to my body!

I am such a squeamish person, can't watch horror films or see blood as I feel faint immediately, so the thought of m/c and a fetus passing just makes me feel faint! If that is what's happening will I really see a little fetus covered in blood? really don't think I could handle that! My pregnancy has been one hell of a ride from the get go, bad news after bad news...I'm just losing faith in a healthy pregnancy, as with all the findings I think it will never be easy for me :-(

It broke my heart initially, and I was feeling devastated, but I have become a little clinical to distance myself, so to help me cope I keep telling myself that I am going through a medical condition as thinking of it as pregnancy just breaks my heart! I had such high hopes for a baby, but I am almost letting go of the idea all together...how very sad is that :-(

I really hope I haven't upset anyone with my 'cold' post, I am very alone and slightly upset as I have plenty of friends with kids that had wonderful healthy pregnancies and births and I just don't want to talk to them as I feel (ashamed to admit!) slightly resentful at the moment...even though I know it is not their fault, it is just so hard right now! :-(:-(:-(

So sorry you are going through this sweetheart. Did the hospital tell you to expect a miscarriage? If it is then you probably wouldn't see much at this stage (they told me it would be the size of a fingernail and easily missed). I didn't look at anything when I passed things.

Life is very cruel sometimes, but don't lose hope hun. Thinking of you xx

So sorry this is happening to you :-(
When I had mine a few years back there was a lot of blood, but as torino says you would not even notice it if it passes , but best not to look! I had a lot of quite bad cramping with mine too.
And don't worry at all you are not cold, you cope with this however you can, look after yourself x x

Hi Hun
Sorry to hear you've had such a rough time. Have you spoken to your GP since the scan?
Several years ago I passed a baby at 7 weeks & did see the baby pass, but only because I was looking for it. Like the others said, it was tiny & unrecognisable as a fetus. It was just a small sac, & had I not been looking hard for it I would have probably missed it.
I truly hope you get some answers soon as to what's going on, and am praying everything is ok xxxxx

Oh dear honey :( i think you should be nice to yourself this weekend and then book yourself in for a scan on Monday at the EPU, that way they can let you know that everything is done or if there is still a baby or whatever

it does sound very like a miscarriage though sweetie i am so sorry :(

Im sorry hone! Nobody should have to go through this. Big Hug! Xxxxx

I'm so frustrated!!!! I felt so ill the whole morning, like I am ready to throw up any second, there was no bleeding overnight, I rang the EGU slightly embarrassed that I was bleeding and didn't understand what was happening to my body, the lady was quite knowledgeable and said, it says on your report here you've had blood clots showing up on the scan, it could be them passing, but let's bring you in for a scan again next Friday, so we can have a look at it.

In the meantime if the cramps get much worse, or the bleeding gets heavier, please ring your GP or go straight to a&e.

I now feel so ashamed for having called, as I feel they may think I am attention seeking, or exaggerating my symptoms, but I have never been pregnant before, and I just presumed when you are pregnant you don't bleed and it is a sign of worry?

Maybe I just made a big drama out of nothing? :-( I feel so bad!!!! xxx

dont ever feel about it! better safe than sorry! I would totally freak out if i was bleeding!
Please dont feel bad hun x

That sounds positive? She thinks it might be the clots passing? Have you had bad cramps hun? When your body is expelling a pregnancy then you will have some quite painful cramps. Please don't feel bad about calling them. That's what they are there for. The midwife told me that Bleeding in pregnancy is never normal, no matter how small or insignificant it may seem (I only had a tiny bit of brown and that turned out to be a mc). She told me it should always be reported to the GP.

I hope the time passes quickly for you so you can find out the situation ASAP. Try and be positive, even though it is not normal to bleed, lots of women do and go on to have healthy pregnancies xx

EPU specialises in situations like this - sadly a lot of the time they have to stand back and let nature 'take it's course' so to speak.

For the time being all you can do is wait but you must keep yourself healthy. Make sure you eat, drink water and rest.

It's a shitty thing to happen (we know, we've been there!)

Keep well and I hope on Friday you have a resolution

xxxx

Hi lovely ladies,

I just wanted to give a quick update! We had the 3rd scan this morning, as I presented myself with an empty bladder it had to be a vaginal scan, but luckily it did provide the view the dr needed.

We STILL have a heartbeat!!!!!!! The scan showed the bleeding is coming from the left horn of the supseptate eomb, and is nowhere near the baby. Baby was measured and my due date has been brought forward 3 days as bubs was bigger than expected :-)

They still could see more blood around the left horn, but at least now I can expect it, and try and relax that bean is still okay, my 12 week scan is due in 5 weeks, so hopefully I can hold out until then!

The cute little thing seemed actually quite comfortable there, let's hope it stays this way!!!!! xxxx

This is really great sweetheart. I am very pleased for you!

ahhh brilliant news , and at least you won't worry when the extra bit of blood comes away too, it's amazing sometimes how babys manage it x

Omg I'm so pleased hun. Make sure you relax and if you have any concerns at all ring the EPU, they will be able to reassure you and please don't ever feel that you are a bother to anyone xxxxxxxxxx
