In my first pregnancy bananas were my saviour. I could eat them at any time day or night and they kept the nausea at bay so many times. This time round I am finding fizzy drinks but in particular fizzy orange is keeping me sane (caffeine free). If i feel sicky I just grab a can and it settles it so I can eat.

Just usually food in general for me!

In my first pregnancy, i went out and bought ginger, crackers etc all the things they say to... But i honestly think it drew my attention to feeling sick. When i stopped bothering with them and ate every 2 ish hours i wasnt too bad. I remember thinking i was going to be sick, but downing a meal through feeling like that did the trick :D

Ice cold apple squash was a big thing for me during the first and second trimester! Not apple juice, but Robinsons apple squash!

I didn't throw up or suffer too bad with morning sickness, just odd bouts of nausea in the evenings, but found that eating consistently helped.

One thing I did try was ginger ale - which I HATED before being pregnant - and quite liked it. I dunno if it helped with the nausea though...

Today I have also found that just general constant eating helps too haha

All I want to eat right now is a whopper from Burger King, it's all i can think about But iv just been eating little and often, can't stand the smell of food cooking at all so been having lots of snacks x

Ice pops have been my thing so far and soft mints when driving, im a terrible passenger and need to drive to prevent feeling sick but even when i drive i feel sick atm but those softmints are little hero's to me at the moment

I found eating something salty like crackers helped. Eating really helped. I found eating lunch early also helped too as if I let myself get hungry the nausea would be unbearable for the rest of the day. As for drink - OJ Was about the only thing I fancied Other than water

I skipped dinner last night as I couldn't face it and ended up having 4 packets of crisps ...... not ideal

Anything dry! Wet food and salad make me heave
Breakfast biscuits are my saviour x

Root beer barrels! Those hard candies. They were amazing.

For me, ginger is my savior.

You can try adding a little ginger and honey to peppermint tea or simply pick up some ginger chews at your local health food store to keep on hand.

Peppermint tea and ginger tea make me feel sick even when i'm not pregnant so sadly they are off the cards for me. I remember I was off all hot drinks last time which was sad as I do love tea.
Since this post I have really gone off the san pelegrino fizzy fruit juices that used to be my saviour; i find the taste makes me feel sick now! I am going off and on foods like the wind and find that I have to keep eating little and often and that's the only thing that keeps nausea at bay..... darn 8 weeks tiredness and nausea

I'm finding that I can eat apples and chip butties no problem. Anything else can be can be hit and miss and I find myself having to force things down..

Love seeing the word butties! I am a fellow prestonian although I've lived in Leicester 9 years now!
I've been munching lots of apples lately too, and anything carbs x

Ha ha ha! It's definitely a northern word! I'm actually from Cumbria but been in Preston for 14 years now :)

Yes deffo carbs. That's all my body and mind will happily accept. Anything else and I can find myself eating a meal thinking all is going well, but then half way through my brain and stomach just say "bad idea" and "I'm going to make you feel sick now."

Dry and carby is the way. I know exactly what you mean, I've eaten a few things by forcing myself then being repulsed by the idea of it haha. So many things I can't imagine I'll be eating for a while lol x

Not smokey bacon crisps... I've brushed my teeth twice and scrubbed my hands to try and get rid of the smell... bleugh!!! Chip butties are for sure my fave thing at the moment... yep I'm from Preston area lol xxx
