I'll be honest, I did not like Temperance at all when I first read you'd chosen it as it's a bit 'southern belle' sounding for me but I've grown to really like it and am sad to see you've changed your mind I think temperance rose is lovely and like it much better than Wendy x

I guess it is close to terrance, but I don't see why that has to be a problem - long ago it was perfectly normal to feminise dads name for a little girl

If this one was a girl our names were Edith, Rosemary, Mary, Elsie, Evelyn, Catherine, Juliet, Joyce.
My name is Alice Margaret and my daughter is Annie Florence...I think we like similar names!
I also really like Constance, Prudence and Audrey

I remember in primary school we had a Victorian day where we had to dress up and choose a Victorian name to be known by for the day. I had Celia because of it being an anagram of my name! Ha ha!

I like Temperance. I became used to it watching Bones and it really grew on me. It's sorta close to Terence, but it's not close enough that it would bother me.

Irene and Charlotte were my grandmothers, altho I'm not sure of their popularity now. Iris is another. I'm a bit biased where Violet is concerned tho hehe.
