If you hadn't pointed it out I don't think I would have even noticed. As you say you call your husband Terry.
If your mum doesn't like it even in the slightest she will be playing on your insecurities about your decision. My mum was doing this to me. In the end we just kept names to ourselves. Now it's picked and had been for some time and nothing will change our mind because that's his name now. It's just who he is
Also like others have said if anyone does pick up on the similarity just say 'yeh isn't it cute!' X - because it is!!

Yeh i know, apparently OH say's that he didnt say the lass he knew was a slapper it was that he has a cousin called Wendy,
however his family have nothing to do with him or his brothers, mum etc because when his dad had an affair and his mum kicked him out all his dads side of his family disowned them all (even though oh was 1) apparently you cant divorce one of them or some crap (very sad story even his grandparents disowned them) and its a massive family so almost all the names in the book have been used so even though one of his cousins is Wendy they have never met or anything. OH said he doesn't mind if i call her Wendy for that reason, his family is so massive that the chances are all names are taken (we found out via the newspaper he has a new cousin called Arthur which is what we where calling LO if she was a he).

Anyway sorry for the massive rant but do you think its a bit weird to use that name or does it not matter because they have nothing to do with us and dont even know who they are! xx

I can definitely see why you feel it tarnishes the name a bit for you but I still think you should go for it. Like you say it's a massive extended family and you don't know her at all. If you like it as soon as you have your baby girl you're never going to associate Wendy with that cousin again, it'll be your little bundle's name!
