Need advice ladies....

The time is getting closer now and I'm ready to accept I'm having a baby in 6 weeks or so!

Michael said he would clip the garden so to speak but i wanted to explore options of trimming it all myself first.

As I can't see AT ALL, shaving and trimming is out of the question so my question is, are there any sort of Imac products or hair removal sprays or creams that are safe for me to use?
Xx

I thought you were on about weeding a garden at first
I would google some and read the instructions...surely most of them should be safe?
Sorry can't be much help xxx

I use Veet sensitive, not had any problems, but do a small skin test first incase your hormones give you an allergic reaction

Technically i am on about a garden Shauna! Lol! A garden of sorts!

Rosa; how 'far back' can you go with it if u know what I mean? Or would it just be for the bikini line? X

Have you thought of going to a salon & having it waxed? If you left it until around 37/38 weeks you would have no regrowth to worry about & should remain hair free until bubs arrives. When I was expecting Joseph I found it hard to reach all the areas & apply any products evenly, so I had a wonky garden
I am definitely booking in for full hairy works treating - legs, pits & carpet thighs!!! Also gonna have my toenails Minxed too at around 38 weeks. That way I don't need to worry about maintenance or wonky bits!!!!!

im worried going for a wax any later than 35 weeks would send me into labour! Im not the best with pain :-s

Ill defo have to start using creams now as im shaving blind and im guessing its not a pretty sight!! x

Ah that sounds lovely! Enjoy it! I'm going for the minx toes myself.

I know waxing would be the best thing to do but I went to Malia 2 years ago and a wax done and wanted to fly kick the woman in the face! I cried, I bled and went to the airport walking like John Wayne :-(

Waxing is safe throughout pregnancy, but your pain threshold is said to be lower when on your period or pregnant. So you may end up kicking the beautician in the face which wouldn't be too great!
As Joseph was 11 days late I'd actually hope at 38 weeks that it might start my labour off to be honest.
If I were you I'd try the removal cream for sensitive skin & maybe your other half would volunteer to help apply it (if you were happy letting him).
It is very true though that when you are in labour though you truly won't give a shit about what you look like down there & who looks. My friend who is a midwife says too that all they care about is that you have washed/are clean down there. Sounds gross, but she says some women turn up with greasy hair & haven't bathed or showered before going to hospital & smell pretty bad. How embarrassing is that? Surely a hairy fanny is better than a smelly fanny!!!!
(Sorry for being gross). But when she told me that I was horrified!

Good lorrrrrrrrdy! Hairy all the way! There's no reason at all why it would have to pong! If I had a contraction and I thought labour was starting and I hadn't showered yet, I'd be heading to the bathroom if ONLY to scrub my lady bits! Fact!

I reckon I'll go for the veet and hope for the best but test patch first x

I agree with you 100%!

I would shower & clean no matter how bad my contractions were before going to hospital. In fact when I was induced with Joseph I had a shower about 20 minutes before going into hospital & was prepared to have a shower the following morning before having more pessaries. Turned out I didn't need another induction in the morning & I had toilet wipes for freshness in case I couldn't have a bath or shower. Luckily they put me in a bath for pain relief, so didn't need the wipes after all!

Definitely do the patch test first as hormones can do all sorts to your sensitivity & last thing you want is sore & swollen lady bits.

Can't believe where the time has gone & that you're due so soon - wow!

I take the lot off

The hospital ask that you don't wax for the 6 weeks before your due date - the reason for this is that it reduces the risk of infection if you need a section. They say they will do any shaving thatis required..eeeekkk.

There is no way i'd be going in with a fuzzy lady garden no matter what they advise. I have been getting waxed every 4 weeks to date and will continue to do so. I've 6 weeks left and will have the lot taken off the next time I go, not taking any chances lol!

i dunno if its just me but i dnt find some of the creams work right... ive thought about this too as wee go swimming and always have a little tidy up so to speak but cant see much at all now x

I didn't realise that about waxing & what the hospital says - I'll book in for waxing earlier then I think. Not too sure about someone else with a razor being let loose near my lady garden - like you said - eeeekkk!!

I didn't know this either.

Lexus I thought this was about your outdoor garden haha. I'm just gonna use veet, the whole bloody lot. I can't see a thing down there now.

x

Well Rosa Veets and I've used it elsewhere before so I'll do a little test patch, wait 24 hours and if all ok, make the rest vanish. I'm sick of knowing it's there and can't brave a wax so Veet Sensitive it is!

I also can't brave a wax either - who knows how I'll be with child birth haha.
X

I would never brave a wax lol, I can't bare pulling a plaster off!

Very true about some Ladies going in without a good clean up first..... Seen/smelt all sorts during my placements!!
