Twins chat 2016/17!

It's only 20-30% though, but you would have to do your own dna test. Mine are very very similar but there are differences so I know mine are definitely non identical x

Ohh sorry I totally missed out on that you've had them already. Huge congrats hun!

Dont think I'd have the DNA test done, guess if they are the same sex time will tell if they look a like or not :)

xx

They technically still aren't due until next week, I had them at 37 weeks x

How is everyone ?
I'm struggling to sleep at night at the moment as I'm waking up with left hip pain! Not sure whether to invest in a memory foam mattress topper to see if that helps?
Is anyone else planning to have their little ones in a Moses basket each next to your bed when they first come home ? I am going to, just keep wondering how I would position the baskets next to me?

Hello ladies!

I've done a clomid cycle and am wondering about twin as my 11dpo progesterone was 100!

Anyone have any results for comparison?

Thanks in advance!

Xx

Maybe baby ... Mine were naturally conceived but I did read about clomid and the chances are quite high of having multiples x

I have a mattress topper, worth having but your aches will only get worse the more pregnant you get. And we currently have ours in our room we have a Moses basket either side of the bed x

I have a thick memory foam mattress topper and I do find it quite comfy, but if I force myself to sleep on one side, I do still wake in the night with hip pain. Not awful, but achy and I have to adjust myself.

Lol that's what I was thinking that it'll get worse ha ha!
Ah so you have one your side & hubby has one his side ? I was worried about one being too far away if that makes sense X

Thanks Laura I may invest just to ease it really as its really painful & its combined with leg cramp the last two nights lol!
I don't mind too much as babies are night owls it seems so I get a few wriggles while I'm awake at silly o'clock :)

Yes :) we both do the feeds etc, they started off sharing a cot but when the smaller one dropped his weight and got put on strict 3 hour diet we put them in our room and that's the only way they fit in lol. They seem happy enough though, we just make sure they get lots of time together on the playmat x

Maybe one basket on my side and the other at the end of the bed?

I'm not sure whether hubby will wake up easy enough once he's started working again, hubby keeps asking why I'm worrying about it now & that we'll figure it out when our bedroom is decorated lol he's head is in this extension & mine is planning for the babies lol. X

We did the same, we did a lot of decorating and building work - still have a lot to do lol - I was prepping for babies and he was decorating. We have alarms set on the phone to get us up to do feeds, I cannot wait until Robert has regained his birth weight then we are hoping to let them wake us for a feed x

You're not worrying, you're planning! We wanted to get our upstairs extended so the twins will fit in the room next to us eventually but didn't want to tempt fate by requesting it before the 3 months mark, but when we did all the builders were booked up! DH doesn't think it will be a problem getting it done when the babies are here but I had to point out that it wouldn't be ideal if I was trying to get them to sleep whilst there is lots of banging going on upstairs! :wall2:

Thanks hon, that's it, he's busy planning the works & im trying to work out how everything will work when babies are here. They get booked so quickly don't they! We've ended up doing it ourselves with people in the trade we know as the builders were quoting extortionate amounts for just a shell!
That's the thing isn't it, if you did do you have anyone you could stay with for the initial couple of weeks while all the noisy dusty stuff was done? X

No I'd prefer to wait until they were sleeping through the night, mum has offered but we couldn't think of anything worse! Not stayed at hers since Princess Diana died and don't intend to stay there ever again! I'd rather have banging and screaming babies than the claustrophobia, intensity, emotional blackmail and tight control that would be involved at hers 24 hours a day with no escape!! DH and I would probably end up divorcing from the strain!

When I was a youngster we lived on a/several building site/s. My mum says both my sister and I had no bother sleeping through the chaos, so you could be lucky. My sister could sleep anywhere and through anything and still can!

My twins sleep through my 2 year old roaring incredibly loud when he is a bear/dinosaur/big bad wolf/monster etc lol, hopefully the dusty bits will be done before your babies arrive x
