Twins chat 2016/17!

Pram has been bought. Spent some time looking at other options but we still like the Oyster Max best. So found one on Gumtree in really good condition that included double of carry cots, seats and car seats. Really happy now.

I purchased a second hand Mountain Buggy Duet, with car seat attachments as we already had a maxi cosi cabriofix from my daughter so just needed to buy a second. Looking forward to using it, I hope we made the right choice, spent months researching before buying!! Didn't bother getting one with carry cots as the seat bits can be used from newborn and in reality I think a lot of the first few months will mainly be in/out of car so will use the car seats for that.

We have bought quite a few bits in preparation - two Take Along Fisher Price swings, two Rocker Nappers (liked the fact you can lay it flat like a Moses basket when they fall asleep), had to buy two space saver cots as the bedroom didn't really have room for two big cots, bought some bunk beds in prep for future (building 1 for me to sleep in, then they will be split to two singles when the boys move from cots to beds).

Contemplating buying two Purflo bed nests at the moment. So worried about not being prepared with all options for sleeping!!!

Only 4 weeks left for me to go now, crazy!!!

Woo hoo exciting Everyone buggies being bought :)

We are off to Aldi in a minute as their baby event is on so hoping to pick up a few bits there X

Girls do you find with movements that you feel one baby more than the other or just more movements in one place ? I know that at the last scan twin 1 was on the left feet down with anterior placenta & twin two is head down with posterior high placenta & I wonder if I feel twin 2 more as the legs are up under my ribs ?

I definitely feel twin 1 more, not sure if because they're more active or the placenta is blocking less. Possibly the latter as during my 20 week scan, twin 2 was spinning around like a maniac and I barely felt anything.

I always felt twin 2 more but twin 1 had his feet right down as he was footling breech for quite a while x

I would say I feel twin 1 more than twin 2. Twin 1 is head down and feet up. Twin 2 at last scan was head up. I don't feel it kick as much at all, have been worried but at each scan it's been fine.

Hi, the boys are doing fab, we had a set back as they both had hospital stays with bronchiolitis ... separately :(

They were weighed last week (8 weeks old) and weighed 8lb10 and 8lb5 which is fab as they had lost weight while they were ill.

They are full of smiles now too. How are you getting on? Not long left now x

Thankyou :)

It's amazing being a twin mummy, never get far without 20 questions from strangers, I have mastered feeding 2 at once too x

Hi guys!

Our twins made an arrival last week via planned section on 18th Oct. Elliott weighed 7lb6 (huge!) and Owen weighed 5lb3.

They are most definitely non-identical as they look completely different!! Elliott has a mop of dark hair and Owen has some fine blonde hair.

It's going really well, BFing is going well although I find them a bit rough compared to my daughter years ago!

I am recovering super well, stitches coming out today.

Aww MrsB they are adorable! How quickly has that flown! Sorry they were both unwell :-( but glad they are great that's fab x are you BF or formula? X

Congratulations Charlie they are gorgeous ! How many weeks were you? Glad they are doing well. Love that they have brown and blond hair. X

MrsB 29 weeks now! All still very surreal but getting exciting too now x

Wow they have grown MrsB. Sorry to hear about them being ill but happy they're doing well now. So adorable.

Congratulations Charlie! So cute, and goos they're easy to tell apart. ;-)

I feel like time is really dragging on now. Feels like it's ages left and I kind of just want it over and done with. Nausea and sickness is still present and now I'm super tired and having quite a bit of pelvic pain too. Might have to give up work even though I planned to stay four more weeks.
