TTC cycle #3 - anyone else in same cycle?

After years of being told you'd get pg by just looking at trousers, it's come as a shock to be trying loads for BFNs!

I'm currently trying to shush my brain and not worry but it's hard.

I test on 19th and think I ovulate tomorrow (it's still all guesswork atm cos I've never ttc before...).

I know what you mean. At school sex education was basically, if you sleep with a boy, you'll get pregnant. If you kiss a boy, you'll get pregnant. If you look at a boy, you'll get pregnant. Hell, if you think about boys you'll probably get pregnant, or an STD, so avoid that too!

Actually, I keep thinking about all the money we could've saved on contraception if we had known it would take this long.

Anyway, welcome to the boards and good luck with this cycle, I've added you to the November testing list now (there's a bit of a party on the 19th & ScotchEgg is personally arranging for everyone who tests that day to get a ).

I had several 'OMG where's my period?!?!' moments over the years before we started trying. Reading about things now I wonder if I might have had a mc at one point as well but I didn't pay attention to cycles and things back then so I'll never know. I hope not.

The 19th will be a huge party. I think LouiseB worked out that about 1 in three people in the testing forums get a each month so there's a very strong change we'll get some on the 19th.

More or less. (I'm hoping for more. How cool would it be if 2/3 got a and the others got theirs in December ).

I think around about my 3rd cycle was tough too, you've had just enough time to read up on things and start seeing symptoms everywhere.

I'm seeing symptoms everywhere - so true. Trying to keep calm though because they're also attributable to period and ov. Sort of an annoying irony isn't it!

Oh I know. So frustrating. You might be pregnant... or it might be your period on the way. And it's never the good one.

I wouldn't mind being spotty and achey and emotional if in nine months time I could get a baby out of it.

yup, join the 19th November party - I think I've ovulated 4 days earlier than expected, but I'm going to wait until party day!!!

I'm on my third cycle too. I agree with everyone else - took the morning after pill a few times with the fear of missing a pill or something like that and didn't really think it wouldn't happen straight away.

Apparently 3 cycles is average so we'd effectively be really lucky to catch before then anyway. Hoping I'm average...

Keep hearing my mum's words 'just had to look at your dad to get pregnant'...

I keep hearing others' words as well and how easy they had it. Difficult to turn that off in your head but try we must!

I know, my cousin just has to look at a man to get pregnant. So annoying.

It really annoys me when I see people with kids and they're just not trying. You can't help but think that you could be a much better mum than them.

I've got a feeling that this month will be lucky for some of us.

omg i know what u mean my OLD friend now has 3 children all under 5 and is 21. she is not in relationship and her house is trashed she spends all her money on fags is severly lazy and overweight the kids are always messy and she is now under social services and she can fall pregnant by just brushing past a man im sure..................... where as alot of women on here are happily married with no kids and are finding it hard.
makes ya think what the hell him upstairs was thinking when he dished out her kids eh!!!!!!
